43:34 the clip of the firetruck is used when they return from a commercial break. when that clip was shown most of the time you knew somehow the segment involved a house fire or vehicle fire or so
I never watched any of these when I was an EMT; this show was on when I was in my first years and when it was really unpopular for a woman to be a firefighter/EMT. Actually, doctors of Emergency Medicine & Surgeons were the worst ones about it. Some of them couldn't get used to it in 1999. That's when I worked inside the hospital. I never did again after working around Dr. M. You couldn't pay me enough to work inside the hospital now. I'm pre-hospital care. In 2020, we lost 980 EMTS and paramedics to Covid without injections. The list of the dead kept going on & on & on, like the list of the victims on September 11.
I’m sorry you had those experiences. I worked as a paramedic for 20 years, starting in 1999, before a shooting changed my life. Maybe it was a cultural difference, but working in Belfast, I was always supported and encouraged as a woman to do the job I loved. I was one of only 2 women working at that time who were senior full-time employees. Since I have lost my sight, I cannot do the job I love most now, but my licenses are still active. I’m just not at a place where I can mentally retire them. Now, I’m a dog trainer. Not as much fun, but a lot safer. -Saoirse, West Belfast, NI
the 4th segment in this episode stands out because after the #catalinaislandrescue114 there's a "NEXT" preview for #babyfirerescue which was included here, whereas other uploaders had the same segment , but no "NEXT" preview for the segment at 38:28.
17:06 thank you for your service. I hope you’re alive and well today. Thank you to ALL the policemen and women out there for your service. We appreciate you all a lot.
38:28 stands out as it was also part of the "Pilot Episode", and 4th segment in this episode like in the "pilot", it is also the 4th segment also in the #rescue911pilot.
also i wonder how they re-did Episode #107 again on Dec 5th, 1989 maybe this had animation like that at the 38:20 mark or just kept it the same as it aired on October 17th of 1989?
I wonder if that is because it was like that in the pilot episode. I think this was the second story in that episode, but since I have never seen it I couldn’t tell you.
re: 38:28 when april 18,2024 comes around can you do a #chuckworkman style short of the very 1st #rescue911 memories to all the other memories from seasons 2,3,4,5,6,7?
The 3rd segment is one of the ones that always stuck with me for some reason, and the rest will restore your faith in humanity.

Gas Leak Hero stands out for me, because clips of it were shown in a later episode of R911 (100 Lives Saved segment St Louis Gas Leak).
"We can't have these carloads of clowns shooting up our officers."
You'd never hear that today, unfortunately.
Sad how the world has changed in that regard. I really wonder about much the woke crowd will destroy the world.
You never know
I love the last one..She did what she had to do and they made it
It's a miracle that he survived that diving accident way back then
Wow! This looks like a very intense and scary situation.
It's a miracle that all 8 babies and the woman taking care of them survived the apartment fire way back then
A time when Seattle was filled with decent people
Not all the people are horrible, just about 50%
It’s not as bad as Portland though.

It seems like they just have a problem with you and not all women, you sound like a bit of a pain in the arse

this episode stands out as it's the last 1989 episode, starting again with #rescue911episode115 (1990).
It's a miracle that the couple survived way back then

thats the same baby from the opening. That baby girl has got to be like in her mid 30s right now.
Maybe. Unless she lived in Chicago. Lotta crime there.
I love 💗 watching police and firefighters and paramedics help take down houses 🏘️ on extreme makeover home edition
It's a miracle that the policeman survived and that a police K9 found all of the suspects Way back then
The lady screaming for help the baby reunited with her mommy😭😭😭😭😭
What I don't understand is why the other two that shot at this police officer weren't charged

The gas man was in the house and by the furnace with no protection.
He’s also 50 years younger than them and in better general health

38:31 i like how they speeded up the animated firetruck from far to suddenly close.
also i wonder how they re-did Episode #107 again on Dec 5th, 1989 maybe this had animation like that at the 38:20 mark or just kept it the same as it aired on October 17th of 1989?
This way befor cellphone where people help out now and day people flim when they could be helping
This show is the greatest show ever.
So you feel sick and smell gas in your home and don't think to evacuate? Good job.
Chase is on the Case
They should have let chase have them..he earned it..they all should have been charged!!
38:20 i like how the animation is colored black and white and not in color.
I wonder if that is because it was like that in the pilot episode. I think this was the second story in that episode, but since I have never seen it I couldn’t tell you.
@@BeatleMoe that could be.
ua-cam.com/video/qOWpoEPtB2U/v-deo.html this other version of #babyfirerescue doesn't do the stuff seen at the 38:20-38:31 mark
