Surprise surprise. I finally picked up a brand new 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 show and I just had to make a tribute to my favorite character which happens to be the 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 one as well! Vanya is such a complex character and ever since the first episode I found myself relating to her more than I thought I would. I think she resembles everybody in a way and simply shows that all of us has some kind of power within us even when we think we are just 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲. Guess what? You are 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲! @XxShadowBunnyxX. At least Klaus knew. Yes, he was treated horribly as well, but under different circumstances. You see, he more or less knows how to control his powers. (However, he has not masters them as of yet) Vanya, on the other hand, most likely had an extremely difficult time learning how to control such power this late in her life. Imagine being thirty years old and suddenly realizing that you can literally destroy the whole human population. Vanya was told that she was not special from the young age of four. Such emotional baggage carried out in her adulthood rendering her the person that she is now. Bottom line is, they were both mistreated, but Vanya had it worse.
Vanya was neglected for her while life I love that they got what they deserved
I know how it feels to be Vanya feeling that your not special is something no one should go through it everyone is special

It really hit me hard that Vanya told Leonard that she loved her family before she killed him. And when she returned to them, they locked her away. When she escaped, it would have been so easy for her to kill all of them, but she left that part of her life behind and moved on, only for her family to come back to hurt her again at the concert.

Luther is the one I hate....and Allison was actually proud of her in that one scene during her performance but then he had to ruin it again...
Vanya, Carrie, Jean Grey, The Joker.... all of my favorite “villains” who weren’t really villains in till others made them
Interestingly they are pretty different with the exception of Vanya and Carrie. Carrie being physically bullied constantly, and Vanya being psychologically bullied and both being emotionally neglected. Joker origin isn't really known unless you are counting the movie. And Jean Grey is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM ALL OF THEM. Sorry for the caps. Jean Grey is usually well loved and popular. She's beautiful, gifted and social. She hasn't really been through much neglect in her life when compared to these. The only difference is she is being possessed by a powerful entity that she can't fully control.

Basically a girl with a super cruel religious mother and terrible classmates that constantly bully her finds out she has telekinesis. One night the bullies go to far and she absolutely f**k their world up with her telekinesis. That’s all I’m going to say. I def recommend watching it. The 2013 remake isn’t bad either but the original is best.

I wouldn't use the term 'enjoying' for the rest of the Academy. Klaus was forced into a dark mausoleum until he stopped crying at the age of 13. Plus, they all had to undergo rigourus training from the ripe old age of four, at least that's what the opening of episode nine said. I could also cite that Five spent forty years living in the apocalypse but she couldn't have known that.

I think season 2, she was slowly learning to control it. & her siblings finally realized what they were doing wrong. Season 3, will probably not be about her...but about sparrow academy. Them as a family!
I love Vanya so much 💕 it’s sad to me that so many people hate her. I understand she has done bad things but she has constantly been left out and made to feel like she isn’t good enough she also was treated bad by Leonardo. Also none of the siblings really showed any concern for her when they were younger. This doesn’t justify all that she has done but she doesn’t deserve all the hate she gets. Also I believe that the reason why she did all those bad things were because she let her rage and anger (that she had been keeping inside for so long it’s not good to keep so many things inside) take control of her. If Vanya knew all that she had done I don’t think she would be proud of it.

I want to give Vanya a hug. She suffered for so long thinking she was just ordinary, she never hung out with her siblings in childhood, never went on missions with them, always left out in family portraits, she is treated differently, and more! Luther shouldnt have locked Vanya and just talked to her in my opinion. If they just talked to Vanya and helped her out, I dont think Vanya would cause the apocalypse.
Imagine how it would've gone down if Vanya had woken up in the isolation room, but with Luther inside it with her. She wakes up and he explains what happened, why he's concerned, asks how she feels, what she needs, how he can help her, and after a few hours, they leave the room together. Luther hands her the key to it and asks her to come down herself if she feels she's losing control and he'll be there by her side to help her through it.

To be honest out of all the kids Vanya grew up, the rest just remained a version of their kids selves.
I love Vanya and she didn’t mean to do any of the shit she did she it was like her body was taken over you can see it in her eyes when ever she hurt people with her Powers’s. On top of that she was treated like shit all of her life being left out yelled at because her powers were to good and her father made her compress them. If I was treated like that as a child I would have tried to ruin them to. Vanya will ALWAYS be my fav 🥰😭 I mean just imagine being trapped in a room forced to take pills and be left out then once you find out you could have Been happy and have powers and be with your sibling you wouldn’t get mad but like I said look at her eyes when she hurts people or when she uses her powers for something big you cant tell me somethings not taking over her body ps. If you haven’t read the graphic novel of tua I highly recommend it

I feel like the medication she took drained her emotion, and thus left her unable to truely feel her music, and what is music without passion or soul?
I love how this series plays with the Idea that Vanya becoming pure white and loosing herself to her emotions is as destructive as the Apathetic man whom raised her. They are sides of the same coin.
the sad part is that the one person she thought she loved and truly care and love for her for once in her life to turn out to be all a lie in order to get what he wants. That's outrages, I would have snapped from the moment but she's still with her family b/c she thought maybe her family still care for her a little until, well u know, fucking luther locked her down like an animal and separated her during her mid life crisis.
Vanya is the main motive by which I completed Umbrella Academy, she is a fantastic character who I sympathized with immensely, I hope she will have more development in Season 2.

I really hate everyone of Vanya's (adoptive) siblings and dad for making her feel rejected, forgotten, ordinary, and not having love/considerate for her (except in one scene with Alison). Which serves them all right for the harm she brought upon them, to those of the people she harmed. And maybe it serves the Umbrella Academy right to be destroyed, by how it didn't make her feel so much like home there.
This gives me literal chills
She had to learn her powers and how to use them as a dult and children pick up on things easier like leaning spanish so that's why it takes so long for her to figure out her true potential how how she needs to control it

People be ignoring the fact that the world ending is directly Alison's fault. She shot next to Vanya's ear which caused her to unexpectedly release her charge that ended up hitting the moon. There's absolutely no indication what Vanya was actually trying to do, but Alison doing what she did caused her to release all that pent up energy which inadvertently hit the moon and ended the world.

I feel things would have been better if 5 never jumped to the future. Those 2 seem close and in her memories he was the only one who wasn’t mean to her. The actor of 5 said that when 5 is around Vanya all harshness is dropped. out of all the siblings he seems to understand her the best. When they were taking a family photo and Vanya was excluded you can see that he looked very uncomfortable unlike his other siblings. If 5 had been there I don’t think the situation would have been this bad.

Okay, My Rant Is Over.
Finally, someone else gets it. But even though Luther's technically the one responsible, I can't hold it against him after what he went through once the rest of the Academy left.
