✅ VIDEO SUMMARY
To export a transparent video from Adobe After Effects, firstly make sure there is nothing covering the areas you want to be transparent. Next go to "File", "Export" and then "Add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue". From here, Adobe After Effects will establish a dynamic link connect to Adobe Media Encoder. In Media Encoder, right click on the export and select "Export Settings". From here change the video format to "QuickTime". Next make sure the video codec is "Animation" and that the depth is set to "8bpc + Alpha", this will make sure it includes the Alpha channel with the transparency information. Next press start queue and once it's finished, your video has been exported!

I've recently started using Adobe Media Encoder a lot more, mainly to render videos from Adobe After Effects in H.264, but whenever I wanted to render something with an alpha channel, I had to render it in After Effects, now I can use Media Encoder for that too, thankssss

Can we export animated effects as png transparent frames? Like for a 2d game?
I get a codec error when I try and export as quicktime. Anyone know how to remedy that?
Great thanks, only problem is that the exported mov video will not play on mac. Quicktime says the file is not compatible. How to resolve this?
I have the same problem : (
For anyone else with this problem, make sure you're not exporting using the Animation codec (Output Module Settings > Format Options > Video Codec dropdown). This codec isn't supported in newer versions of macOS Catalina. Use the Apple ProRes 4444 lossless codec instead and you should be fine.
@@kalapenaali omg thank you so much..
How to export png sequence with transparant background
Hello and thank you 🙂
I have a problem though. If i open Media Encoder 2023 it looks pretty different. THere is no "Animation" to choose. There is Animated GIF but i dont see the other settings there, like 8bpc+alpha.
Any tipps?
I think you are searching it in the "Format" tab. Try: "Format">QuickTime and down below "Video Codec">(And here is where "Animation" is)
For once, the software is actually really useful
bro but quicktime exports the video as .mov and thats not supported in most editing softwares
This is my issue too - anyone know if there's a way around this?
I dоwnloaded everything is okay
Turns out they aren't for . SO I hear literally notNice tutorialng inside soft...
To anyone who saw comnts about torrenting it, I would strongly advise against doing that. Pirating a DAW can be a huge fine. Not
I cant open this export in my media player bc it is .mov not mp4 how do i convert to mp4
Use the H.264 video codec. Hope this helps!
@@MyFilmClass So your saying we have to use ME to render as Quicktime animation with 8-bps with Alpha then open it in AE again and save as MP4 with H.264? That does not leave you with an MP4 with Alpha. Sure one can use this method to add transparent Quicktime MOV files to AE projects but we are looking to have the transparent Quicktime MOV to be in transparent MP4 format as final. How is this done? Is it even possible? Please do tutorial. Thank you.
from 1gb to 7gb wtf
Not working. Transparent backround working only on gif :(
this was such a waste of time lmao
