    I transport lossless w/ a transparent bg from After Effects to Premiere, there's a makeshift way. It's not a way that Adobe intended, but it works. The blasted method took me about 40 painstaking/stubborn hours to figure out. Just moved to a new city two weeks back and am tied up in job hunting right now, so that's where my free time goes. But your great tutorial reminded me that as soon as time permits I should put up a tutorial on this ridiculous, though effective, method that I use. Thanks for sharing your effective methods as well!

    Thank you! I have been trying to figure this out for my animations. I was exporting them with a green background and then keying it out. This helps a lot!

    Cool! I find the file sizes for these formats are massive. Like 2 gig for a 20 second video. So is there a way to have a file size that would make sense?

    The colors are different when I export it in ProRes 4444, less sat, less contrast. why is it doing that?

    dude no matter how many times I try to render my twitch overlay with a transparent backround in the rbg+alpha it still renders with a black backround :( and my backround is a true transparent backround

    Even easier, you can just add a solid green layer below and that way, you can use any file type you prefer...

    • @willcarmack
      @willcarmack  2 роки тому +2

      no because then you have to put the keylight effect on that layer and its bad to stack heavy effects - so we do this to not have to use a green screen effect on our layers!!

      so best practice is to film something on a green screen, edit out the green in after effects / premiere and then export that as a transparent video - then start whatever animation you were using the green screen assets for! Saves so much time in the long run not having to constantly have keylight running on your layers

      I might be late, but better late than never. The problem is probably with your video player. Try importing your stuff in Premiere Pro or wherever you need and see if it's actually transparent
