As a 51 year old man, I am not embarrassed in any way to watch videos like this. I am simply looking to be better than yesterday, and any means I can do that - I pursue. Also, by simply watching the guys run, the first I thing I noticed was none of them are fat. Funny how discipline translates into all aspects of one's life...
I'm 56 and this is survivor bias. You are old enough to know - or should know - that goal setting followed up with hard work does not necessarily end up with positive results. This kid is way too young to be giving advice like this. I have no idea why this showed up on my feed.
I never said the goal would be guaranteed, just by setting it and working hard at it. But you'll be way more likely to achieve a goal if you clearly outline it and work hard at it. I've "failed" many goals I've set, but do I look at them as failures? No, I am way closer to where I want to be, and to me, that's a beautiful thing!

I believe that goals are only failures when we give up on them. You might have to try 20 times - but you only need to get lucky once and the prize is yours. Just keep trying. 👍
