that's so cool the comic that you found is written in Italian, it says: "don't you really think i'm going to climb up there?!" A big hug from an italian subscriber.
I moved to NYC in my twenties and ended up staying there for ten years. But life was just hard, man. I got my masters degree and got a job teaching middle school, but I just never had enough money to enjoy living there with all the shows and restaurants and everything at my fingertips but never having enough money. I moved to Portland and soon after realized just how hard life was, how much constant anxiety I'd been dealing with, how stressful life was there. It's been such a change of pace on the west coast and while I have so many fond memories of my time in NYC, I don't see myself returning to that type of life. I hope you continue to find the ease and the joy you're starting to experience in LA : ) And please keep taking us along for the ride!
What an encouraging comment amongst all the chaos 🙃.. I moved to NYC in August and feel it is so difficult to carve out time for your mental health and little rituals that you're used to carrying out. Trying to find a balance, and I've been told Portland is a good option :) Live and learn I guess!
I’m very happy for you! I lived in NYC most of my life, but my stress level is immeasurably better living here in the Pacific Northwest. It’s amazing how healthy you can suddenly feel when you’re not living in a city that is actively trying to crush you. Go figure 😛
I can really relate to this! And coincidentally I just posted a very similar comment above : ) I love Portland so much and while I miss NYC, I so appreciate the ease I feel here.
As soon as I saw the caption to this video I knew that I needed to watch it. Sometimes the feeling of happiness can be so foreign but we just need to remember that we deserve it and embrace the feeling when it comes!!
You look beautiful and like you’re glowing from within ❤️. So happy for you Jenny! I’m having an opposite thing where I am actually realizing I really love the hometown I’m in even though NYC was my destination for so long in my head. Here’s to growing into where we’re supposed to be :)
Random observation: I've seen an oven glove from Portugal in the washing machine footage and that tiny detail brought me so. much. joy. I'm a Portuguese transplant in Amsterdam and I've been literally giving kitchen apparel from Portugal to ALL my friends. Anyhow, seeing your LA happiness brought me much joy too! You're radiating 🌞
moving to LA in two weeks and this video makes me so happy about the move. can’t wait for the weather and the sunshine and all the little things. so happy that you’re happy.
I felt such a sense of deja vu when I saw the title of your video. A week ago I had like a very visceral epiphany that I am … good. in my life and my career and sense of self and home. It made me realise how unsettled I've been from viewing my life and situation as temporary or a passing phase on the way to something more. I realised This Is It. And I'm good??
oof, the dread I felt when you spotted that ant... Also, incredible what regular sunshine can do. We finally got some sunny days in san francisco over the weekend after weeks of gloom, and I swear I felt like a different person overnight!
started watching you for the nyc content, stayed for the editing and aesthetics, and will continue cheering and watching you grow because you're a beautiful human being who deserves happiness.
These moments in life are pretty precious- the ones where you're able to find clarity and confidence to make major changes based on intuition/gut feeling- so you should definitely be proud of yourself for harassing that!!
i needed to catch up on your vids lol seeing that you just moved to la i was suprised, but after seeing how much you felt like it was a much needed change, i love this for you. i hope la treats you well
You make everywhere you are look soo beautiful, but your energy in this video radiates not only beauty but also pure happiness !! didn't think i could be this excited and giggly about someone on youtube ♡
Hey girl, I haven't watched your videos in a long time, but I came back to them only to find we're in similar places, and it's nice to see that reflection. 💕 I'm 28 and in October moved out of my parents home in NJ to CO, and there have been so many growing pains and adjustments. As someone who was born and raised right outside of NYC, I consider it to be part of my home. It is not for the meek. Ten years ago I became best friends with an LA native who went to college in NYC and seeing her try to adjust to the hardships of the city was eye opening. She moved back to LA right after she graduated, and then I visited her there, and I fell in love with everything you're saying. If I could have afforded it, I would have moved there by now, but CO is my new home. Best wishes to you in your new home! xx
this made me so happy i could feel your happy energy through the screen! makes me feel more confident about my cross country move this year :) so glad that your move has been such a blessing!
This vid made me smile so much! Makes me so happy to see how happy you are here, I moved to LA about 1.5 years ago and everyday as I go on my lil mental health walks I tear up a little because I’m so happy here, with the sun on my skin it’s all so beautiful! Welcome home ❤️
this makes me so happy !!! I'm in a similar situ atm where everything is just coming together and I'm taking time for myself more; moving to my fave place in the world in the summer where I feel most settled and I'm so ready !! look at us being adults !!
So glad you are finally able to settle in and enjoy it! You also inspired me to hit up some friends and be more social. You seem like you have such a good support network and are a light in your friends’ lives. On behalf of a fellow Angeleno, LA is lucky to have u!
Hey Jenny. I loved this video as always. I'm really curious as to what you used to edit the video, the squared-filter thing is really cool. Thanks for sharing your life with us and i'm happy for your happiness!
jenny do you have a lot of water placements?! i'm all earth and air, and i feel like i can never trust my intuition. i really admire how yours leads you :)
I think as an influencer she already just makes friends with other Ytbers all over the country and other ppl find her that way through this and ig. It’s certainly different when you don’t have a whole catalog of videos and content kind of giving people a window into your life and a way to feel connected to you without knowing you in person first. Atleast that’s how it seems with a lot of other ytbers, they all know of each other. Also Jenny is from colorado and that’s close to CA so maybe friends from there moved or are just passing through
Wow I really understand this moving to a new place and it clicking so much faster than in another place. I had the same when I lived in Montreal and then moved to Berlin! Although both places are home for me, when I moved to Berlin this summer it felt like home os much quicker than when I had initially moved to Mtl
Its so funny that I've been following you for years, I think you were one first youtubers I actually followed, and seeing you grow into this person and being happy and glowing makes me so so so so sooo proud! I've been cheering you on from the other side of the world, you go girl! Keep on growing and inspiring 🌟
Lovely to hear you’re settling in so nicely 💕 I also felt a bit overwhelmed with gratitude after coming back to LA after spending the holidays in NY with the latest covid surge. As much as I miss my winter fashion, can’t beat dat 70 degrees winter ✨
I’m so glad you adjusted to moving to Los Angeles quickly. It will always be home for me, I can’t wait to go back and visit my family and friends. It’s so fun to follow your journey✨
so funny that the first frame says, “everything feels easier here” because my friend who just moved here from NY said the same thing. when i asked her to describe NY in a few words she just said “everything is harder there”
i'm so incredibly happy for you that you're so happy with the move! moving across the country is one of the most overwhelming experiences and i'm so glad that you are truly enjoying your new home
I am wondering did you not have any free time in NY? Seems you couldn’t get a lot done there? And is Cali just a slower pace for you? Just a bit confused as to why you can get so much done in Ca. Love the channel!!❤️❤️
Ahhhh living in new york things just take longer - little errands can take hours to get there and back and just much more exhausting! Kind of hard to explain without living there!!
@@naiarasuarez6238 Agreed. I’m from the Midwest and have been in LA for 12 years and feel the traffic and crowds make everything impossible. And I have a car, but didn’t for the first several years. I love LA but I feel exhausted.
cannot deny that i saw that title and dropped everything i was doing to watch this, so happy for you!! 🥺

Never thought about the possibility of you leaving NYC but I’m so loving your LA content. Cheers to your new chapter, Jenny!
