  • St. Brigid is one of Ireland’s Patron Saints and symbolises strength, independence, and the power of women. She’s also the patron of poetry, healing, learning, blacksmithing, and more.
In 2024, we were honoured to perform at St. Brigid’s Cathedral in Kildare for Brigid 1500 celebrations, alongside Moya Brennan - First Lady of Celtic Music, Lisa Lambe, Loah, and Brinda Irani. We wrote 'Goddess of Gael' and jig 'The Fiery Arrow' for the occasion.
Derry artist Roisin O'Donnell created a beautiful lino print to accompany our song, featuring symbols of Brigid’s power-oak trees, snowdrops, the Glastonbury bell, crescent moon, and more.
The track, produced by Diamondtronic, also features Rohan Armstrong on double bass and Big Toe on percussion.
    Mastering by Jay Sethi.
A big thank you to Donegal County Council for support and to all involved in creating this work.
    Goddess of the Gael
    Brigid, Goddess of the Gael
    Brigid, shine immortal flame
Woman of sky and earth, exalted one
Every action comes from a place of love
Darkness of winter fades and spring is close by
You protect and breathe light into all life
    Brigid, Goddess of the Gael
    Brigid, shine immortal flame
Beacon of hope, you weave your sacred thread
Shining light in the darkest of times
Goddess so strong and graceful, brave and kind
In your name we will rise without fear in our hearts
Dream weaver, fire of the forge
Peace weaver, you lead us home
