I live in Western Ma and visited the Yankee Candle store several times over the years. Its a special place. They had a car museum seperate from the store and factory at one time, with an amazing display of cars that i assume belonged to the owner. I visited there with my gf at the time, and sat in the owners Lamborghini or Ferrari ( cant remember which it was ). The gull wing door was open, as it sat outside the museum. I saw someone else get in for a few seconds and then get out. I assumed it was something they had for guests to check out. I was wrong, because the owner approached as i sat in the car and asked what i thought i was doing.
I was a visiting spa therapist for the Kitteridges and spent a lot of time in the Spa. It was wonderful to revisit the property and it brought back a lot of memories. We spent the 2000 New Year’s Eve party and attending the wedding of Mike and Lisa. They always have the best of everything and were such gracious hosts. Thank you for this video.
This estate may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love it dated and all. I wish there was more appreciation for vintage 1990's colonial, Ralph Lauren, old country club esthetic. I still ❤ it and its use of light and elements.
Dang. That house is only appraised at $6 million currently and its still $100K in property taxes every year. So if this goes for anywhere near $15mill you'd be looking at a 1/4 of a million dollars every year just in taxes. For a small town location in the middle of no where that's crazy. Its no wonder it's still on the market and dropped from $23m. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up going for $6mill. Big loss for the family but I think they are probably just fine financially. Absolutely amazing house though. If it was an hour and a half closer to boston it would have sold in a week.
Thank you to the millions of people all over the world who bought candles so they could build this estate. The family should be thanking everyone ... 😅
This is by far the most amazing estate that I’ve seen reviewed and UA-cam! This is no longer a home, this is a full on luxury resort. I think this style is so cool, like it way more than any of the modern estates with a bunch of tech in it. It’s so elegant.
Seems like it would cost way more than 15 million. If it was in either New York City area or Chicagoland or Los Angeles area or San Francisco area or Miami area it would cost way more than 15 million.
WOW this is absolutely amazing house, i mean it's unbelievable the pool house loos so real as if youa re going on a real vacation abroad a tropical paradise. I mean i am totally speechless to be honest, i have seen so many luxury homes from all over usa and uk on youtube but this tops it all. This is what i call a dream house i wish that one day i will win the lottery i just may be one day i will also have my dream house built just like this in the uk.
This tour honestly blew my mind and all for 15mil just so crazy! Imagine living here and forgetting where you left your phone or car keys haha lol man this place is sick!
how the heck is this house only 15 million. i would totally buy this over any of the other houses shown at twice the price. i only need another 14.8 million to get it.
That a beautiful compound such exquisite taste in decor..not gone lie a saw a place connected to all things even history past and how it change over time❤❤❤
I looked this estate up on Zillow. It really is selling for just $15 mill!! Massive fire sale for such an enormous estate. Something doesn't add up as this place should be selling for at least $90 million.
The maintenance costs are $1,200.000 a YEAR. unless you have Yankee candle fortune money this would be a good investment to convert into a boutique hotel or corporate retreat..
Probably a very very specific type of buyer that would buy something like this. Most people with that kind of money would probably want something more modern. And custom.
The indoor waterpark is absolutely incredible. I've always had an obsession with indoor locations that are made to look like the outdoors ever since I road Pirates of the Caribbean.
@Gavren for how big it is, it's very homey. Just sad whoever buys it will probably shut it down or sell it off. But is definitely a magnificent property
I legit love how normal most of the house is. So much of it just feels like a normal house. That juxtaposes to the wild and fun stuff that’s on the property.
Anyone else spot that precariously placed/leaning candle around the 4:27 mark? That's a disaster waiting to happen. Imagine a home built on the wealth of candles being destroyed by the candle itself?
If this estate was built in a decent area of the country, it'd sell over night. Unfortunately, its in western Mass where there is zero industry and less than zero growth. VERY tough market for a home of this caliber.
if you got a lot of friends or a big family then you have quite a place to host special occasions for people to gather and celebrate together. You can easily invite friends to come live on your property for a couple of months and not even notice them. Absolutely massive place. The upkeep must be out of this world though. I love it.
I am stunned. I have so many questions. What are the taxes on that? What are the operating costs per month? I am just stunned. Great tour. Thanks so much.
2nd best home I have seen on line. It is nice and cozy like the other. The 1st one is a log home for $40 million. This one's pool area, l like the gazebo closed in, but I like a more oasis type. My little cabin is being rebuilt based on some of the expensive homes. My Kitchen and bathroom I will always like better. It is nice to be able to build something on a smaller scale, but just as nice. I don't drink wine btw. I have the suit Peter Stomare wore in Prison Break, I could put that on display with my sewing form dummy I suppose.
Awesome access.. and crazy to think someone is going to come in and do a bunch of work here to make this into a 50 mill property. First addition - landing strip for private jet..
This home is soooo much better than those Hollywood homes that are so cold and heartless!
And everybody wants to live in Massachusetts yeah right?

The dreaded "white box" mansions. Can't agree more.
@@SirBuzz i can never wrap my head around how anyone could prefer that in a horrible big city as a oppose to a classical house
I thought Enes and Ryan Serhant showed the most insane homes but you have taken it to another level! Salute.
Thanks Rick!
Look at the newer 150,000,000 house they showed on their page. Absolutely insane.
that one looks nice but it feels like it could all easily be burnt down to the ground

This is THE BEST property and property tour I have ever seen on UA-cam! The home is a beautiful, well laid out showpiece!
Wow, thank you!
My favorite as well that I have yet to see!! So comfortable and inviting ! I could absolutely live here ❤️
Best home in the world for fifteen million 🎉🎉🎉
Cost over $1,200,000 a year to just maintain

What a property. But imagine the maintenence.... but still having all that beautiful forest land.
For 15 mill you'll get a 2 bed 2 bath apartment with no outdoor space and common swimming pool bath in NYC
It's not the price that matters it's the cost and taxes to keep it
Spend 15 to buy it, spend 40 to update and furnish it, and another 2-5 a year just to make it run

The most amazing part is that a scented candle can get you to this status. Especially since candles have been around for over 200 yrs.
So, does one need to employ an entire facilities/engineering department for a place like this?
