Shreyas Somanna actually, most people have a normal way speaking when they’re comfortable, which is their actual accent, and another fake accent which they present to the public because of insecurities about their actual accent or ability to speak in English, and the accents are usually pretty bad and anyone who speaks English well can recognise the difference.
I love the content. I have unsubscribed powerdrift because they are too much. Your videos are nice simple and subtle. Don't Stop. Someday you'll find more subscribers and definitely you'll become popular. All the best.
Not kidding, just yesterday (in Ahmedabad) I spotted an M3 sedan (never thought I'll see it in India), a black huracan (with green calipers) and I lost my shit. But on the way back home, I spotted a W124 lying among other normie cars and out of those 3 cars I spotted the Merc is what's occupied my brain the most. And I've been itching to go again and look properly. I wish I could buy it and restore but gah I'm 17 and with no dough :p. Still keeping an eye out though. Love these mid 90s to mid 2000 cars. great video
Truly a classic i remember we had a 95 version with Leather Trims ... the feel of the cabin is Truly Premium .. not like the mordern ones you get ... except the S 2022 which s a class of its own ...
Great video! Had seen a video on W124 by Hagerty last month, and great to see how it stands in Indian conditions and specifications. PS- why does the front number plate change?
Excellent camera work, all throughout. Few hints: 2:40 The plastic side trims were added in the first facelift in year 1989. The bonnet changed in 1993. 3:06 Missed to include a demonstration of the thud when the last door closes with all glasses up, so that people can realize how pathetic it is in their modern cars! 3:52 The mirrors are almost flat (or is it really flat?!), unlike concave mirrors on most cars, rendering a smaller field of vision. But the difference is that you get the correct perception of distance of the approaching vehicles from your car. 4:25 Missed to mention that the heavy bonnet remains up in opened position by itself, without any manual support rod or a visible hydraulic strut. A cleverly engineered hinge mechanism. Miss my 200E!
Its a pure car. No gizmos..no fancy. I would love to buy one of those depending upon the change of rules regarding owning old cars. But this one is awesome. Pure mechanical. Even TATA used their technology in those days and introduced the mighty Sierra and Estate. Good job bringing this car.
Great video; informative and well shot 👍. I have a 1990 W124 260E and it’s a fabulous machine. The biodegradable wiring was only an issue on the facelift cars. The ride quality is better than many modern cars I think. It’s a shame MB don’t build their cars like this anymore.
@ Adil Sabu - The entire wiring harnesses are around £2000, rebuild kits around £300 in the UK. Then someone has to fit them - very expensive. In my case my car is an early model and not affected.
the W124 was the first car I got to drive by myself, at it was the most liberating 20 minutes of my life. Since then, it's literally been my dream car, more than the Mustangs, Jaguars and other animals. It's possible, and attainable. I've been worried I might not be able to legally drive one around, considering that I'm 25 atm and it'll take a bit until I can afford one. The fact that I stumble upon this video a day after it's published is a sign that I shan't let this one go just yet.
Nice ride! I just found and bought a smoked sliver 1990 300e, garage queen with only 116K...I am revamping much of the suspension this week. Even with a worn suspension ...it still drives like a dream:) I just sold a gold ...190e, 1986 2.3...149K .in which was my intro to mercs...loved that car too...Lol!
so do you have any words on which old merc* to buy if you want peace of mind once purchased and gone through thoroughly . your opinion matters as you are knowledgeable in these old hunk of steel's.
These are the real car channels that people should subscribe, the authentic content which we were used to watching on British youtube channels till now
"There were once with leather too." I'd like to tell you that I have an W124 E220, with Leather seats. It's in perfect shape. This makes me feel that my car is rare❤
This is the car that every 90s kid grew up drawing in the back of their notebooks. I loved this design so much! This is the epitome of mechanical engineering. Having all the basics right! If there's any enterprising entrepreneur willing to begin manufacturing a car that has all the basics right, I would invest in such crowdfunding endeavor. I'm sure many like me are willing to experience what true German engineering feels like. Make the design and manufacturing process opensource. Have OEMs contribute in design phase. This would turn out to be an excellent vehicle. If software can be built open-source. Why not hardware and cars! 1. Solid Build (like the W124) 2. Reliable and powerful engine 3. Good driving dynamics 4. Every detail thought through 5. Manual Transmission with all wheel drive
Brother I have been looking for a Merc W124 for a long time now and currently I have an Altroz with number 0880 on it and now I see a W124 with number 0088 on it ...? Can you guess what's going on in my heart right now !!? Is this W124 for sale ?? Or does the owner has any such future plans...please let me know.

VIVEK JI ??????😲 wherever i search w124 literally i found vivekji😁♥️ 4:10 kochu galla
I love that he’s not faking an accent , I love the commentary, love the camera work, brilliant video, and a beautiful iconic car
Most people don't, evryone has their own walk of speaking. you'll are just familiar with this accent coming from tier II and Tier III cities.

Beautiful car! The one arm wiper was one of the coolest things of the old era. I wish more newer cars would have it.

How much will it cost when the wiring goes wrong
@ Adil Sabu - The entire wiring harnesses are around £2000, rebuild kits around £300 in the UK. Then someone has to fit them - very expensive. In my case my car is an early model and not affected.
Drew S what model has this issue ?
Rizz Adam - all models from 1993 until end of W124 production in 1996 / 1997.
This is still my absolute dream car. It defines my idea of a perfect car. I love it.
Looks like it just rolled out from the showroom.
I liked the solo screen wiper the best ! Methinks the Mercedes Benz cars are non compatible for Indian rural roads.

The trunk switch is ingenius, although they could put a timed relay in like the front dome light has after you shut the door.
