I am not sure I can agree with the assumption that Amazon does not have any storage costs. Amazon own many large warehouses across the countries and continents. And of course, they have to pay for the rent, electricity, employers, damages etc. related to the warehouses. Also, in the beginning when they introduced products outside of the books and magazine categories, they had difficulties storing the goods as they were a lot more complicated than books.
Amazon has very costly DC's BUT it keeps its inventory low, as even if Amazon uses its DC's to store items (which it just does) for selected article, the stock is owned by suppliers, so it does not show at Amazon balance sheet
I do agree with you, i would think there would be at least some storage cost for the company. But as spoken i the the video the business plan connects the provider and consumer together. Meaning they ant necessarily the provider that pays the storage cost, more of the middle man.
you probably dont care at all but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Leland Hamza I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Amazon is truly an amazing company, and their success is truly from their business model. The fact that the main vision for the company is "to be earth's most customer centric company," really reaches out to me. Great customer service is key to develop and increase a company customer base, and that's how i believe theirs keeps growing. Im taking their vision in to my own future buisiness model for an aviation charter service. Hopefully learning to be a very "customer centric company" will create success for myself.
I can't believe that a business as successful as Amazon cannot figure out how to combine accounts for a customer that has had 3 different email addresses over the years. Two of which are not used any longer all of which have ordered from Amazon. The only way they will do this is to eliminate all of the order history, including 10 or more book purchaced with kindle. combining these accounts seems like it would be one of the simplest processes. Customer service only tells the customer,"I am sorry, but this is our policy", with no attempt to help find a solution. It is so frustrating to a customer to not be able to get any kind of logical explanation, when Jeff Bezos stresses the importance of customer service.
bonny faulkner I too had the same issue with my audible account. The talk about "Great Customer Service" is just a usual CEO talk. The ebooks they sell and Kindle are way too over priced. I donot know about their consumer products if these are passing on savings to the customer. Apparently in spite of their big size and growth they had only small profits in few years of their 25 yr history.
A good and educating video, though it's always a good thing to give the creation for someone to proofread :) And isn't it "business model canvas", not some "canvas business model"? I'm a bit of a nitpicker, so forgive me.
Yo creo que deverias de practicar tu discurso varias veces antes de grabarlo, que mal pronuncias unas cosas y te travas y con tantos errores todavia grabaste esto y lo subes? hmmm perdi el interes de seguir.
