The pressure can cause things like constant shaking, displaying of the tongue and usually as the dog gets older. Makes them prone to seizures, incontinence and in general a horrible quality of life if surgery or drugs to rid the fluid aren't introduced.

God, do these little guys love their people, and they make the best watch dogs ever because their barking will wake up the dead....they’re always three steps ahead of any intruder and will alert their family before any intruder sets in foot on your property. Their hearing is incredible.

Her teeth were so bad I had to get them surgically removed so her tongue would always stick out. Despite her problems she was the best dog ever and amazing company. I’ve fallen in love with the breed now and want more
It is actually IMPOSSIBLE to wash my chiuhauha correctly. All we really can do is wet him with (dog) shampoo water and rinse him off. He hates getting wet.

I had two chihuahuas and they never once shook.
But mine were 5-7 lbs, maybe the extra small breeds do it , not sure why though.

Since you're not supposed to get their ears wet, it's hard for some people to wash a small breed, like chihuahuas.
