This bike makes 0 sense for me but I want one
The look of this bike is growing on me the more I see it. MV's never seem to disappoint.
Another mouthwatering review. The sound, acceleration and words capture this MV perfectly. I’d live a spin on one. The detail on engine and design. Great job Mr. Fly. Job done!
Wow, thank you Anthony!
Was amazed by the way this bike looks from the moment I saw it announced. It's beautiful! 😍
I doubt I'll ever get one though.
Nicely worded, and your professional photography captured the sunshine well!
This is your area of expertise! Fluent. Unbiased and compelling enthusiasm.
Best wishes.
Thank you!
I just KNEW you were going to love this!!! I've only watched the first 15 seconds. Now to enjoy the rest of this vicarious pleasure.
Thanks as always for coming to spend some time with us! Lovely to see such a variety of feedback. MV Agusta have been great to work with and have honoured any warranty issues well and there haven't been many. Thanks again!
My pleasure as always - thank you for looking after me so well on the day, I look forward to coming back soon to ride some more!
Another lovely review, Andy. The bike has something of the 'Flash Gordons' about it - as if it should be spitting out sparks from the exhaust. Now there's a thought...
Exactly right, how cool would that be!
Having had the opportunity to test ride the bike, your report is spot on, agree the design made not be to everybody's taste
Having owned five MV's since 2012, three F3's and two Dragsters, this is without doubt the best👌
And yes, when you arrive back home, there is a big smile on your face😄
Good to hear Bruce - I'm getting a lot of comments about perceived unreliability and cost of ownership associated with MV Agusta - can you comment on your experience with both as an owner??
@@TheMissendenFlyer
Since 2012 I have owned five new MV’s, the first in 2012 F3 675, followed by the F3 800, 800RC and then two Dragster’s, each bike owned for a couple years and covering between 8000 and 10000 miles, (2020 Dragster 2600miles).
The impression with the F3 675 was that the owners were test riders finding out the faults which were mainly electrical and mapping issues, there was also the added problem at the time of quality dealers.
2014 F3 800 and 2016 800RC, major issue experienced was the sprag clutch, which failed on numerous occasions, this meant that you never really felt comfortable on a ride out, but at least you did get a warning that it was beginning to fail.
No starting issues with the 2018 Euro4 Dragster, there was a problem with surging around 3000/4000rpm, which was resolved under warranty, even then the bike was not comfortable at low speeds or in traffic.
2020 Dragster no issues whatsoever, front brake as it always has been is excellent, rear brakes on the previous models often required bleedin.
Quickshifter/Auto-Blipper is excellent, great fun going up and down the gears
My first impression of the Superveloce, is that there has been a vast improvement with the suspension, nowhere near as harsh as previous models, I understand the bike had been set up similar to what Neevesy (MCN) had done on his test ride.
TFT dash is another improvement, easier to set the controls, only criticism is than you can still not clearly see the indicator light indicator or fuel level light.
The dealer network has improved and is continuing to improve.
With servicing at 9000 miles, running costs are not an issue and there is also the peace of mind of a three year warranty.
What a lucky lad you are to ride such a beautiful tunefull toy. Art in motion.. Thanks as usual for great ride out.
I like to think of myself as fortunate 😜
Appart from that very weird headlight I really love it. It sounds bloody fantastic, and I love a single-sided swingarm!
Nice vid & pretty bike. Looks like a real experience & I imagine it would put a smile on your face every time you opened the garage. It reminds me of the old Ducati's that were beautiful, expensive & flawed but owners loved them all the more for it.
Great review I personally think it looks gorgeous 👌
Hey sir, the kids would love a review of the turismo veloce.
MV's are indeed motorcycle art.
Ps, the leather strap on the tank, is a reference back to 60s and 70s in the days of Agostini, when Mv was multi champion.
By holding it, is how they kept the tank down in the race.😉
"Steampunkish" 😁
Spot on, Sir! Lovely machine indeed.
What a great day to ride and film 👌🏻😎 ... The Jury’s out on the MV styling . Some details look beautiful , some not so 🤔
Yes I agree, no doubt it's a thing of beauty, but on balance I think I'd take the F3......and yes beautiful day last week in Suffolk...more to come, stay tuned!
Superb machine... so great to see something outrageously styled. Thumbs up to MV for being brave. 👍👍
Agreed!
Can’t wait to see the 800 Turismo Veloce Lusso review! I test rode one in CA. a little over a year ago and would love to hear your impressions!
What beautiful day and a stunning looking Bike thanks Andy
My pleasure Gary....
I stood next to Phil Read in the Mallory pits when I was 13. He spoke a few kind words to me and I heard the 500 4C four through its black exhausts ! I’d love to purchase a bike like this. I think you certainly captured the emotion of it all in this short video.
Beautiful bike and sounds amazing 😃 great review TMF, thanks
My pleasure!
Hi Andy, Great bike 🏍 , Great video review 🎥 . I was happy to see you get home with your helmet undone after your walk around.
I hope that your new lockdown passes swiftly.
Cheers.
Thanks 👍
Another great watch, thanks Andy, a lovely looking bike that sounds great, not sure I get the leather strap but the lights are brilliant!! (See what I did there?) Look forward to the future videos when you can get it out again!!
Cheers Mick - lots more "in the can" to keep you entertained through lock down....
Had the pleasure of owning an MV F3 800 a few years ago. Awesome bike and your review brings back all the memories of the sense of occasion and fantastic noise everytime I rode it. Truly loved that bike, but job lose forced me to sell it. Next bike will be Turismo Veloce Lusso, so a review of this bike would be good. It would be interesting to see what you think of it? Great review as always.
Lovely looking bike as all MVs are. This is going to be a long month waiting to get back on my Brutale rr so its nice to have these reviews to fall back on.Thanks.
My pleasure - nearly a week in!
Just trying to fathom the lockdown law for this Month. Some sites are saying we can ride our bikes for recreation and others that say your insurance will be voided if an accident occurs. As a fellow biker i would like to hear your thoughts and what you are doing as far as riding or not this Month@@TheMissendenFlyer
Absolutely love the MV styling and design, totally outside of the box . Any chance of a Turismo Veloce 800 review? Thanks .
You never know - stay tuned!
Love that bike. Almost bought one but issues with the first year electronics and being 200 miles from the nearest dealer held me back.
The story of the company is amazing
I just bought that very bike 😀
Enjoy your Reviews. Keep them coming. Regarding the quickness of the bike, I think if you had a more open road you might have a different impression when you wind it up to 13k rpm and quick shift into the next gear. Completely different animal at higher revs. Nice controlled power wheelies and as you mentioned that great sound. Obviously not as monstrous as my Tuono Factory 1100 but pretty quick when you give it the beans. Best regards, LP
That bike sounds lovely.........a honest review of a great looking and performing bike.....stay safe......thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching!
I recall an Australian magazine article from the late 70's describing a countryside test ride on an MV Augusta 850 SS. The journo described the sound of the MV racing through the country back lanes as the "sound of tearing silk"! May the beast never lose its growl.
What a great turn of phrase!
Enjoyed your review , nice machine ,attention to detail ♥️😎
Thanks for watching!
thank you for posting. As usual, your videos are very informative, direct to the point, and fun to watch. Very nice looking bike. Very artsy, which is a good thing, imho. Will keep an eye out here, but who knows when it will arrive (the RS660 is not due at the local store until end of December. the store is getting 6 bikes and they have already been sold). Shipments from Italy have been painfully slow. The reasons I have heard include covid, helmet designs which now must/want to comply with ece 22.06 (I hope I got the number right) and Snell 2020, and also heard Italy is just getting ready to tool up for the new product lines. Maybe a little of everything?
Fingers crossed! Thanks for watching and stopping by once again...all the best!
Another cracking review Andy. It's not my cup of tea but still a lovely looking bike. Look forward to the next one after lockdown mk. 2.
It looks gorgeous and sounds just "OMG"!
That is beautiful.....congratulations to mv agusta ♥️♥️♥️♥️
What a beautiful piece of art in a fantastic british countryside. Could be my first italian bike one day. Greetings from little Luxbg.
You read my mind! I was looking at the specs on this bike just yesterday. I quite like it, but it is a bit pricy for me. Great review as always.
Thanks for watching Will!
What a lovely machine. It really is a work of art.
Been waiting to see one of these on UK streets ever since MV released it. What better than a cup of coffee and 18 minutes with Mr Positivity to start my Monday!?
Thank you Jon - you're very kind!
Great review and a fantastic bike ! You keep this one in the living room not the garage. Servicing costs are eye watering...
Indeed....
Saw one at the London motorcycle show last time I went looks amazing, but still would go for the V2
Good review . You’re right re the position of the cruise control button on the RHS -fiddly at best
Thankfully you can set it via the LH button through the screen
Good tip!
Hi TMF another great review didn't see the link to those heated gloves that you was wearing
In the description
Whaaa another work of art from MV she is a beaut if I had £17,000 pounds to thro around I WOULD have one of these works of art just what you come to expect from MV they have always been special . I reckon this would have no depreciation at all . Gotta say tho that number plate mount would go it's just a wart you don't need ha good job as usual . : )
Am not too sure on the looks personally, but it is nice that MV and some others are being brave with some styling of their bikes. Triples are perfect on the road, best of all worlds!
I'm pretty sure the looks are gorgeous :)
What beautiful looking bike and it sounds amazing. Great review, cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching Tim!
What I like about this bike is it’s the real deal unlike other retro offerings. Not sure how to explain what I mean but where the Thruxton is emulating a classic the Augusta is creating one. This bike excites!
Yeah I think I get that Paul - this is its own bike, not attempting to copy a genre from the past even though it does have a "retro" feel - it aint a cafe racer!
Stunning bike, not sure on the leather strap. Nice to see it has cruise control something even some tourers don’t have so to find it on a sports bike is nice even if it is on the opposite side to what you’d expect. Great review as always keep up the good work 👍🏼
Thanks for watching!
MV always top class finish and the looks are outside the box, personally I dont like it at all, but your right if a bike puts a smile on your face its worth a ride ..
Great overall content with this video. Amazing shots of the ride and the details of the bike ride is well done also. Only thing I might comment on is in post production to lower the volume on your mic, so we can hear bike more. Even if you do 10 minutes of nothing but pure bike sounds.. it has a very good and soothing notes that are harmonious in my opinion. Ever in Las Vegas 🎰 let me know I got the proper gear to assist with videography and photography sessions. Beautiful bike 🏍!
Thanks for the tips!
The Italians know how to design bikes.
They sure do!
The designer Adrian Morton is British though.
@@mukundnadkarni ...and I happen to know he's a TMF viewer!! I had no idea this was one of his....brilliant!
@Dangerous Dave I just read he is no longer with MV. What a pity! But I think the Superveloce was designed under him. As for the Benelli Tre, there is a video of it right here on this channel, with none other than Mr Morton himself in the comments section! ua-cam.com/video/MjMBoSgrA9A/v-deo.html
That’s a work of art. Amazing design.
"Love Is" .... A Triple in the Redline.! Great review buddy. Keep safe and in touch.. D&Pxx
Will do mate - you too!
i guess im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Mohammad Maximilian Instablaster =)
Pleased you liked it after scoffing about MV's in your MCN paper reviews . Glad you stopped to do your helmet up!
Well it looks a lot better in the flesh as is often the case, same thing with the Ducati Street Fighter and BMW R18 which both look incredible when you see them for real rather than in a newspaper....PS Did I scoff at MV's..not sure I recall that!
Another great review. I'm not really a sports bike fan but this is a truly beautiful looking bike...I even quite like the TFT, which is a first! Sadly, at nearly 60, with bad back and hips, the days in which I might buy a bike like this might be behind me. Curious that, with so many tourers and adventure bike not including cruise control, this bike comes with one as standard.
Yes funny old world Gareth isn't it!
Love your work and a beautiful bike. Hope you did your helmet strap up in the end as I want to see more content from you. Not a criticism, we have all done it before👍
Looks awesome, but riding position looks excruciating Andy. Sounds beautiful with those pipes
I also had that first thought when I saw where the CC switches were.
Jerky downside for the quick shifter is a bit against the grain. My beemer still prefers a bit of clutch on the way up, but the quickshifter is perfect on the way down
Beautiful looking bike Andy, but I would have to be very agile and flexible to ride it. Maybe when I was twenty or so, but the years have rolled on and they haven't been that bloody kind to me!! The GS1250 is much kinder to me in all area's. (Big sigh). Great review as usual Andy. Commiserations about the lockdown that you poms have to go through again. Keep well, all the best from Nth Queensland Australia.
Thank you Andrew - all the best to you too, stay safe under there!!
Your absolutely right, it's how it makes you feel.
Definitely the important thing about a bike...
Stunning !
Very enjoyable bit of escapism -- thanks a lot. I even liked the mid-roll (ish) Supervelocce 800 ad ;-) In black the bike looks like something Batman might ride!
Aha - that's Google being clever for once!
Cant wait to pick mine up!
Ooh congratulations!
@@TheMissendenFlyer thanks. The wife doesn't understand
Wow - beautiful bike! Lust!
Like your Mr. Missendeflyer, it really look like a steam punk motorcycle, reather unique design. But haven said that, it sound absolutely amazing.
Thanks again for a fantastic video.
Stay safe, and ride safe.
Yours sincerely
The Danish Viking 🇩🇰 ☀️ 😎
Thanks for all your kind words as ever!
Neat bike - can't wait to see one five years from now sitting in some random import bike shop with 0 miles just waiting to be ridden
Good to see you in Suffolk, I passed through Bury st Edmunds on the Ducati on the 4th, didn't see you lol.
Have an MV on my bucket list maybe the Turismo. Cheers TMF
P.s. lots of white vans in this neck of the woods too.
I must have got lucky!
Well that's a first, your walk-around was just interrupted by an ad for, guess what, the MV Agusta Superveloce 800! Well done Mr. Flyer, that must have taken some serious coding!
Nothing to do with me I assure you!
Did you notice that your helmet wasn't done up Mr Flyer? I'm glad you didn't get onto a motorway, that could have been a brown pants moment. Great review as always, cheers from Australia.
Yeah I did - as did many others!
Great review yet again personally I’m not too keen on the looks as for white van man there is a ton of them here you must of just been lucky Andy 👍👍
Must have picked the right time! Great roads around there you have........must come and explore more!
Great video!
Thank you for watching and for stopping by!
Nice looking bike, liked the engine in my Tourismo. MCN wasn’t as keen on it as you in there review
Indeed...
Lovely looking and sounding bike and your characteristic excellent, comprehensive first ride review. Quick question: did you forget to re-fasten your helmet after the walk round TMF?
Yes I did - you're not the first to notice.....
Beautiful bike. The only thing I would change is to make the exhaust cans silver. I think that would balance the overall look. Thanks again Sir for a good review......Sal : )
Yes I think I agree with you there Sal....
What a shame, there seems to be something wrong with your camera. Some blurry pixels, mostly centered over the speedo it seems. 😉
Ooooh.... it is beautiful 🤩
Great review TMF! I particularly liked how you put the three images in when you were talking about the quality, that was a really nice touch - I appreciate the production effort there, it was enjoyable viewing.
Also, which GoPro were you using on the lid? It doesn't look like the Hero 4? I ask because I think the image quality was really good, far better colour balance.
Glad you liked my little inserts....the GoPro I used on the Helmet is an 8 with the media mod fitted - quite good for the ol' vloggage I've found.....
@@TheMissendenFlyer yeah many vloggers complain about the mic input and I understand that...but the video quality is so much better!
Great film as always Andy. Personally, I think the F3 800 is a thing of beauty. I'd take one over this (and keep it in the living room if the mrs allowed). I'm not a fan of the old fashioned round headlight in a fairing. The leather strap is just daft. An odd bike!
It's certainly different I agree with you there!
Sounds fantastic and looks cool, not sure of the leather strap though. Nice review TMF, thanks again. Hopefully the English lockdown flies by for all. Fingers crossed we avoid it 🏴.
Cheers Colin - great news regarding this new vaccine eh? Hopefully we will be back to some sort of biking normality by next Summer!
That's a great looking bike, darn.
I’m really sorry but (and only just noticed this) if you had a counter for how many times you looked and lean into the gopro I think it would be in the 100’s 😅 I understand looking at the camera to seem like your talking to us but leaning in does make me chuckle.
Beautiful bike, fingers crossed I can get one myself in the future especially with your reviews making it one of my dreams bikes for the future.
Love every episode 👍
Sorry Ross, it's involuntary I can assure you, just how I do this stuff....
Even for a moany old wotsit like me it looks great !
The clutch in to start has flummoxed me a few times on my own bikes ! ..
And my best was after a full resto on a triumph not being able to start it for a whole day (with the kill switch in kill mode) doh !!
Peace and love brother 👍🏻☮❤
We've all done it!
Wonderful sounding machine, looks a lot of fun. I await the long term test results with interest. How do you manage to find so many great roads that are 30MPH limit?? The wonderful SE of England, eh?
KrazyHorse are in Fornham near Bury St Edmunds. So many roads round here including the A12 and A140 heading north towards Norwich have lots of 30 and 50 limits. The A14 is national speed limit of course, but it’s a bit boring.
@@markbright7845 I’m in Swaffham and have picked up 9 points in last 3 years answer only because I’m off the road at the moment is why I haven’t got more. All in car, none on bike!
@@weatherbog I'm in Felixstowe, and love exploring the local roads north, south and west towards Lavenham and Bury. I've noticed this summer that I don't really need massive horsepower to still have fun on these roads.
Great first ride video, nice looking bike.
MV, unfortunately, don't seem to have a great reliability record. 2 of my friends have owned MV's, and have had issues from day 1, both new bikes.
BTW, it looks as though you forgot to do up your helmet strap (please correct me if i'm wrong), after the walk around.....oopsie!
Be safe, during lockdown, looking forward to your next video.
Grumps.
Yeah I hate it when I do that....
Did have, over the last two years, no more problems than any other manufacturer
@@brucetaylor7085 I've not owned an MV, 2 of my friends have, they both have had issues on new bikes.
The one was returned after 2 to 3 months, due to constant problems, the other has only covered a couple of thousand miles, and has had a few issues.
Not sure of all the details.
@TheMissendenFlyer
How the hell did you get that front camera mount to stay on? Mine always fall off any curved surface no matter how slight the curve.
I got lucky I guess!
I quiet like the steampunk theme. The way it rides reminds me of a well tuned smoker/stroker.
The model you were riding is the premium Superveloce, its called the Series Oro, 5more bhp, better exhaust etc, beautiful machine 😉
Thanks for that Geoff - That exhaust sounded epic!
@@TheMissendenFlyer no worries, I nearly bought an MV 750s in 82 when I lived in Oz, $7000, & it was 6yr old, they're worth a packet now, they've always made a good looking bike , buta lot of money.👍
This isn't the Serie Oro it is the production 800 but we have added the optional extras. You have a good eye though!
@@KrazyHorseGenuine thanks guys
I have one in my garage. Is a great ride. Its for the love of motorcycling. The engine is a absolute PEACH!!
Great bike, sounds epic :-)
It does!
Nice bike and nice review, it seems that the urge to ride it made you forget to strap your helmet !
True that!
Some questions for you: Compared to your Ducati 899, how is the Superveloce in low traffic in town? Is it unrideable under 20-30 m/h as reported? I understand that like the MV F3 -800, the Superveloce is enjoyable only if the rev are above 6,000, Is this true? How will you rate its fuelling and trottle response? Many thanks for your review... I could feel the passion in your voice and it tells it all! Keep up the good work. Great Vid.
Theres is no problem whatsoever riding at 20/30mph in second or third. I have never seen a report on a Superveloce saying it is🤔
I agree with Bruce - I had no issue with the fuelling, in fact it's better at low speed than a standard 899 (I had to add a throttle spacer to mine to make it behave)....
I half expect it to take flight. Beautiful machine. Not likely to see very many of them around.
Lovely machine though the gold frame clashes a bit with the silver bodywork. Would look better if it was red or silver [the frame]. Gold wheels look cool . For the money I would expect Ohlins suspension all round. I would take the Ducati V2 over this though, but if I was loaded I would have one in my garage. Nice review as always Andy. Ride safe and take care.
You too Boz - thanks for watching!
lovely bike, great sound. ps at 15.40 was your helmet not done up?
Correct Allan - you and about a hundred people have mentioned it!
Lovely. I wouldnt go for the leather strap. I thought it was ridiculous until I read a comment saying it had a purpose originally
Great Review again as usual Andy, a thing of beauty but like all things of beauty, expensive.. Helmet strap? !!!! sorry, old habits :)
Yes you're by no means the first to spot the strap!
I think this bike looks great and I would like to test it :D
Also its about 25 thousand quid, a fair bit more than the standard, just been reading all the blurb on their website, gorgeous looking & sounding bike
Hell, thats a hunk of change..
MV Augusta makes some beautiful bikes with great details. They're truly automotive works of art. They're more about design than useability and price. Ferrari get away with that in the car world because they make some of the best cars in their respective class. Sadly MV Augusta doesn't have that pedigree......yet?
I love the look of the Turismo Veloce RC. Perhaps you can take one for a review some day.
Stay tuned Steve!
Won't be able to ride this bike as my natural position is feet forward with fists in the air hahaha! But my word...CHE BELLA MACCHINA!!! 😍🥰🤩
Yeah not a good idea to wheelie a Superveloce everywhere...
Love it, but the Triumph Trident will probably be the next triple I buy, slightly more affordable for me!
