Fifflaren is pretty cool guy, unfortunately cs:go community has fuckin incurable cancer, looking on this whole scene, when you cant watch your favorite team playing without any issues because of betting its just sad, and noone can convince me that bets didnt kill CS:GO scene, I miss 1.6, even if i know that good times will never come back :(
I really enjoyed this interview. Fiffy is so honest and on the ground and he knows what he is good at and what not and i cant understand why he gets so much hate. I think the reason why he quits is because of all the hate and well: He won every tournament in csgo and i think there is a point where you say to yourself: Im done !!!
This is a really good interview - the dude is asking almost awkward questions, but they are good questions, and Fiff is honest in his answers. Good work on both sides of this - and Fifflaren is awesome! Everyone who knows CSGO well knows he does a great job. Glad he doesn't listen to the hate any more.
I don't know how much I buy into what's being said in these videos. Thorin and Friberg himsef admit entry fragging isn't all about kills, it's about information gathering and setting up the 2nd and 3rd guys to get the kills. Then Fiffy says around 34:00 "Obviously if an entry fragger is only getting kille 20% of the time he isn't doing his job." Shows a misconnect or lack of understanding on his part.
+Kza Tin That is not awful, you dummy, that's just entry fragging....after 2013....80% of peekers advantages were removed from GO, the values were tweaked making the game more ct sided....would love to see you entrying B site from tunns on dust2 and having to kill Olofmeister and Krimz.....fucking idiot.
+juanme555 for an entry fragger 2 in 10 is bad, no matter what. Going vs Olof and Krimz is definitely very hard but with flashes and smokes it's not as hard like Fifflaren said in the interview about setting up for other players. (still very hard of course). Also, it's not like you're expected to get both frags. Furthermore, B tunnels isn't the only place to attack obviously, you can also do B splits which makes it easier. The entry fragger isn't expected to go 10-10 but atleast 5-10 imo. Also, 2-10 is only acceptable as an entry if your teammates can go in and trade for you without dying, which is hard because of the 2 people holding the site.
Nabil Omar i think there is a terrible mistake in your philosophy, you're comparing this pro matches to your stupid mge matchmaking game. enrty fraggers always die, that's why 2nd and 3rd mans in are for, to get the trade kills, it's not because lack of skill, it's because that's how counterstrike is, and has always been, there is top tier teams who use the trading philosohy, like iBUYPOWER used to do in the old days, sometimes steel or DaZeD would go first so that the other would get the trade kills and always, the first man in would have a terrible kd, was it because his aim sucked? NO, that way they did beat Titan, LDLC and Fnatic. there is very exceptional cases where a player has so much skill that he doesnt die and he actually kills the entire site holders by himself, but this was only achieved by those player who've reached that "god/godlike" level and by no means that should be the standar of the entry fragger role, that's actually the peak. btw they're very few people, in fact, they're only 3: Shox, GeT_RiGhT and kennyS and MAYBE, olofM. i think Fiffy meant those were low numbers for GTR's standars. Look at WorldEdit, Freakazoid, Kioshima, they barelly get any kills (except for Kioshima if he is really onfire) and they are some of the best entry fraggers in the world at the moment. Fiffy went a bit too far and you have a terrible understandment of the game, as the first comment stated.
+juanme555 You are the only one lacking understanding of the game. There are several philosophies around entry fragging, and mastering the way you set your entry fragger up is what decides how well he can do in a game. If the entry gets at least one kill before getting traded off it's a 4v5 and worth it every time. If you can't get one kill as a entry you are pretty useless. If setting up your entry to ONLY be a standing trading target it's horrible. Freak performs like a beast and can sometimes even get 2 entry kills, he even performed like that vs fnatic i a lot of the games, even on fnatic's best maps. Most teams don't even have more than 2 players on a site, so how is a player godlike if he clears 2 players from it? You try to make valid points but fail so hard, yet you bash this guy for stating the obvious. Entry fragging is a concept that revolves around being set up for a kill when executing or finding the pick somewhere with the help of your team. Its not like you can run up at any site and try to get a pick and if you fail thats it. Not how it works. iBP played textbook cs which revolves around trading at every possible situation, where plays are not at thing they would rely on. Ask any entry fragger how it feel's not getting a kill round after round, it's horrible, because they know that they are not doing their job.
Great interview, however i feel like Fifflaren was trying to justify the critics for half an hour when he couldve just explained the whole situation in 5 minutes.
i kinda agree on that but then again if you look at all the critisism that Fiff gets compared to other players i can understand why he takes his time to explain everything. i really liked that interview because you can see what goes trough his mind and see that he's actually really intelligent.
Hey thoorin , any chances of doing "Grilled" episodes? I really want to know what these 1.6 players like robban, face, trace , ave, are doing these days.. Correct me if I'm wrong..Reflections- online- current players, whereas grilled-in-person-former players .. Gj as usual ..
Grilled was the series he started off with and he renamed further interviews as "reflections" as he was doing Grilled under his employer Acer at the time, reflections is intended to be the same/similar thing but to avoid confusion between TeamAcer and Ongamers. Reflections at the beginning was a lot of in-person interviews but doing them in this online format allows him to Interview people who he may otherwise not get the chance to :)
He has a Wii in his room. That is how you can tell he is a fucking boss.

Seeing Fnatic crumbling in the Gamescom Finals makes this interview even better.

Christopher Draheim 2 kills in 10 rounds is awful thats like playing 4vs5
