Actually the simple explanation is Palpatine has hidden 7 horcruxes in the galaxy. Rey definitely has some of his powers as the accidental horcrux she took. So the main plot of Episode IX is to find every one and destroy them trying to stop his immortality.
Guided by the force ghosts of Luke, Yoda, Anakin, Yoda she will clash lightning and gets entangled with his by the force. The ending is Rey becoming the master of death and Palpatine just disintegrates into pieces
I feel like I've watched this movie before, but not quite sure where.....

@@skynikan Mace used both the dark and light side of the force which is why his lightsaber was purple
Maxim actually SLJ revealed that he just wanted a bloody purple lightsaber.
@@Ali-li2vx True, I remember him saying that he wanted to stand out in the crowd during the fight scene, so he asked if he could have a different color from others. Since lore established in the books & comics said the color of your saber was partly determined by where you got the power stones & partly by your personal mind energy (which is why light side characters could be blue or green or even white) then they said yes they could make his a combination of the blue & red & just say his character had a rare color not seen before because of something in his character.
Aah, that's what you mean, I thought this was a quote from him.
Interesting theory that Palpatine is projecting through Vader’s mask. I could see it being the case since the mask was blasted with Palpatine’s dark energy when Vader threw him down the Death Star elevator shaft. Can’t say for sure but it’d be a compelling explanation to me :)
Yes, plus the mask was created as part of the suit Palpatine made for Anakin/Vader, it really wasn't a part of Anakin emotionally, just a robotic suit to keep his body alive, & like the suits they made for all the storm troopers, it was Empire designed. So the face of the mask represents the Empire instead of the person in it, & Palpatine is the Emperor.
That's beyond dumb
He desperately tried to transfer into vader but was trapped inside the life support AI mask. I like it.
@@tamarasmith9060 I thought Vader possessed his mask in some way though I heard and could talk to him through it?
@@phillmoore1561 Not really. While "blasted with energy" doesn't fit, it is well established that Sith can attach their spirits to objects that have been forged with the darkside through Sith magic (a ritualized way of accessing the force known only to Sith and the Nightsisters that can accomplish feats the Jedi cannot through their methods).
Since Sidious helped design and create Vader's suit (as another commenter posted out, Sidious made sure the suit limited Vader's physical, mental and force abilities so he could not overthrow him) it is quite likely he used the darkside while forging it and possibly attached himself to it with the intention of using it as a surrogate to possess Vader in case Sidious died and Vader did not. In fact it's exactly what his master Plageuis wanted to do to Sidious or Anakin and what Plageuis' master Tenebrous tried to do to Plageuis.
Best theory here so far.

Amazing theory! It's just like Palpatine to be lurking in the background and pitting both side to watch the outcome. Really wish they band together in the end and take him down together thus ushering a true age of balance
Literally, it was said that Anakin would bring balance to the force and balance means equal parts Light/Dark and hopefully they can accomplish this. I love Palpatine and am super hopeful that this movie will deliver greatness.
@@MrWordcraft as far as i can tell the use of dark side powers is what unbalances the force - the violent nature of it disrupts the force in some way.

The last episode of each trilogy is about anakin
Revenge of the Sith - Sith is Anakin
Return of the Jedi - Anakin is the Jedi returninf
So the rise must be the same
You could argue that all of the first 6 movies are about Anakin. If this theory is true, though, all 9 become about Palpatine.
Return of the Jedi is NOT about Anakin returning. This is a completely new fan myth. It's been overtly stated since the original commentary from RotJ. Anakin was barely conceived as a character beyond being Luke's dad, being a super evil scary robot dude, and at some point being a Jedi. There was nothing to "return" from yet.
"Return of the Jedi" refers to LUKE, the protagonist of the film, who is returning to fight the Empire after being defeated by Vader in the previous film. That's it. That's all it means. He is returning to fight. In subtext, there was also a 5-10 year story gap between the two films, so plot wise he is returning from being in hiding.
P.S.: More to this point, the film was originally titled "Revenge of the Jedi", nodding to Luke becoming much more powerful and finally formidable to Sidious and Vader but it was decided that "Jedi don't seek revenge" so it was renamed and "Revenge" was recycled into a later title.
Fun fact: Despite being the central character to the franchise, none of the film titles have been in reference to Anakin.
The Phantom Menace == Sidious
Attack of the Clones == Clone army
Revenge of the Sith == Sidious again
A New Hope == Luke
Empire Strikes Back = Imperial army
Return of the Jedi == Luke again
Eric Rosen they are all about anakin. george lucas said so. it’s all about the rise and fall of darth vader/anakin. it is a fact.
@@gracemariewalter So explain what happens with anakin skywalker in a new hope. He force chokes a guy, he says some lines? oh and he killed obi wan. THOSE ARENT MAJOR THINGS TO THE PLOT, the original trilogy is about luke. the one little boy who went from a whiney farm kid to a jedi master.
Just the title of this video means so much now.
Even if Aniken was redeemed, the mask is still a darkside artifact. So the darkside could still influence Kylo.
Search your feelings...you know this theory to be true.
I also agree that the new order will be called Skywalker’s, even though there is no proof.
Search your feelings, you know it has zero evidence and makes no sense.

It was prophesied that one would bring balance to the force. It does’t mean one person to counter balance against the dark of someone else, but rather that person would be the one to find balance between the light and the dark. Vader was heavily influenced by the dark but was able to go back briefly in the light. Luke was heavily influenced by the light and briefly went into the dark. The third generation would be the one to have complete balance between the dark and the light and thus restore the balance of both sides as one with the force. The Yin and the Yang is the perfect example of this balance (as is the black and white cookie).
Roadwarriorfl Rey and Kylo balance the force.
Roadwarriorfl when did Luke go dark again?
Its pretty clear that Rey and Kylo are gonna join together. They have been working on the chemistry of these characters since ep7. That will be totally satisfying ending.
Palpatine to Disney: "I am Star Wars!"
Dew-it
Here is a theory: Rey is Anakin's clone! Created by Palpatine.
Crazy.
Gorl vorszion
I don't know if Rey was created by Palpatine or not, but I definitely had the feeling since #7 when she was introduced that she would embrace both light & dark to bring balance & end the war. Philosophers say people can't be in balance if they are completely committed to one side or the other in anything, as they then become blind to others' viewpoints which may be just as valid & can't see possibilities for compromise. Some believe you can't really know what being good is without understanding what evil is & accepting that the temptation for it exists inside you too.
Like you said, Rey is able to sympathize with Kylo's viewpoint & the depth of his desire for power, I think because growing up the way she did means she desired the power to get herself free from there & have a better life. I think that he sees that in her, which is why he wanted her to join him, but she will show him that his path down the darkside will only lead to destruction of all the good things in his life (he already murdered his dad!) & he won't be happy. Kylo must see that just like Anakin ended up killing his wife & losing his kids & his friend/mentor, & then Luke ended up creating the monster he feared possible when he attacked his nephew, then Kylo will not gain what he truly seeks if he continues to let jealousy, fear, & a desire for control dictate his plan to become the most powerful.
Nonsense. This is based on man's limited understanding of what good is. Also, Star Wars is stolen from the Bible. The Bible says that no one is good...not one! We can only seek a semblance of goodness through the Force/Jesus Christ. He's brings us balance until God can bring forth full and complete goodness in the Universe. The chosen one is the force. You can choose to use it for good or you can choose to use it for evil.
I assumed the "rise of Skywalker" referred to Luke rising in the force to the level of force ghost. It's the ultimate form a jedi can achieve since it allows them to pass on knowledge forever.
But a whole movie leading up to.. just that? Seems underwhelming.
You have to remember force ghosts are a sith thing, the first jedi force ghost was qui gon in the clone wars series
@@domp2729 he wasn't a sith
@@domp2729 I'm pretty sure the Sith weren't able to become force ghosts because you had to let go of any attachment and fully embrace the jedi ways to become one.
@@raylop80731 doesnt mean the whole movie leads up to that, the movie could be about how he guides Rey as a force ghost the way Obi Wan did for Luke after he died. Empire and Jedi weren't all about Obi Wan ghost but they wouldn't have happened if he wasnt guiding Luke.

Theory the kid at the end of the last Jedi with the broom that used the force to pick up the broom is a skywalker
This is the most likes I got
Have you tried saying “first” those people get tons of like and never any hate...
I just said that too
When I heard palpatines laugh my I went crazy
I was sad because it means Vader/Anakin's sacrifice was for naught. Bringing Sheev back is a just Kathleen Kennedy's way of getting fan butts back into the seats.
I really hope Rey falls to Dark side. Permanently.
I've believed Rey to be Anakin's "reincarnation" of sorts ever since episode 7.
I agree! The first thought I had after seeing the trailer was that Palpatine tried to create another Vader the same way he made Anakin and Rey is the result. It would also explain why she is so strong in the force and has a strong connection to Anakin's (later Luke's) lightsaber as well as the strong connection to Kylo. (If Palpatine made Anakin and Rey, that would basically make him their father, of sorts.) And It would also maybe explain why she only see's herself in her vision during The Last Jedi.
Another theory that also works, is if she is a clone, made by Palpatine, using Luke's hand that was cut off during The Empire Strikes Back. Clones have been used in what is now considered "Legends" books and comics, but they have been using ideas from the Legends material in the comics and shows like Rebel's, etc., so it's possible that she's was cloned using Luke's DNA, or maybe Luke and Vader's DNA. That would also explain her vision in The Last Jedi, as well as explaining her strength in the force. But most importantly, the clone theory would explain why she's already so skilled with the lightsaber and using the force. Just like the clones in the clone wars were "programed", she could have been as well.
So, either the person hiding her on Jakku as a child in The Force Awakens rescued her from wherever she was cloned, or had her after becoming pregnant the same way Shmi did with Anakin.
a very good theory about her being a clone, I think you are onto something here it would make the most sense of way she only saw herself in the cave because she is her own parent. this would also make sense way she only remembers bits and pieces and from about age eight or ten, the same time clones were to start their training.
I think this movie will be about her learning in the force with training from force ghosts. she has had help from yoda in stealing the ancient jedi texts. perhaps this is how she will complete her training since all the masters are now dead. Luke says we have passed on all we know, which is plural and since they are now all dead this would be the only way.
Rey could be the clone of a female Jedi like Depa Billaba
“Rey confronts Palpatine” (Dialogue).... Palpatine,”I am your father”

Bringing back Palpatine (confirmed) and having Rey born of the Force (theorized) just screams “we have no original ideas”.
I loved hearing Emperor Palpatine's laughter at the end of the trailer.
I like that bit at the end "who embodies the light and dark side the most, the sky walkers" I think thats spot on!
Can't wait for Episode IX!
Me neither.
Plus, J.J. Abrams said there's more to Rey's parentage, and he also said that the light and dark would have to face "the greatest evil of all time" .
I was literally 3/4 of the way thru this video earlier on my lunch break when it suddenly disappeared. What the heck, man?
There's a reason I've started waiting to watch your theories until AFTER I've seen the movies. A lot of the time, even if your not technically right, you're usually not wrong either. So it's best to wait to avoid even the potential of spoilers.
I mean this is technically right from the title
Palpatine created reys father which created rey which makes palpatine the CREATOR
He isa creator for sure ! The only one he created is Anakin , tho , and by extension he also created Luke and Leia , and Ben ...but in Rey’s case I would use the word Genitor or Sire , it is more accurate !
AND one of the last images from the Last Jedi was the Young boy 'willing' his broom to his hand ( using the force ) whilst looking up into space. Another Jedi coming into his own?
or a Sith Lord ;)
No because they've given him an unpronounceable name...ends in Blag I believe (Ben Carlin does a hilarious video on this lol)
good point
Yes, so I think there is something in the force itself that will keep making it so that there will always be some people born with higher midichlorian (sp?) counts so that there really will be no end to sentient life in their part of the universe being able to tap into the force.
Also, willing the broom into his hand reminds me of the scene in Harry Potter where the 1st years are learning to ride their brooms. 😂😂 Maybe wizards on Earth are actually using the force & just don't know that's where the magic comes from. Their rare genetics make them able to use midichlorians !
Not Jedi.... Skywalker
My predictions:
- Rey was cloned from Luke's severed hand.
- Snoke is a shape shifting Palpatine
- Palpatine made up the Darth Plagueis story
- Lando Calrissian will not save this franchise.
It's all so M Night Shyamalan, ie. hack material. I think they dropped the ball with the entire setting for the story of this trilogy. Not to mention get the wrong people for the job of creating it.
I’ll agree with everything except the Plagueis part. They made an entire book about Darth Plagueis. Can’t see them making it up.
@@Kennyisdarkvanilla That book was part of "Legends" not the new Canon

"Doesn't need saving." People like you are the reason things are in the toilet right now with this franchise.
Michael Allen the Last Jedi made $1 Billion dollars in the first three weeks of its release. Yeah, total failure it was not.
I mean, you're not _wrong_ ...
Skywalker=Grey Jedi.
Also, I’m not sure if this is still canon or not, but from what I’ve always went by is that Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker are two different entities. Anakin representing the light side of himself, Vader representing the dark. Anakin did eventually break through in Return of the Jedi, but that doesn’t mean Vader is gone. The dark spirit of Vader may live on similar to Anakin, instructing Kylo. Darth Bane is canon now, and he became a dark side force ghost, so Vader May be able to do the same to an extent.
Also I don’t think Snoke is gone for good. He ended to abruptly and anti climatically. He’s gonna return in some form or another
Yes....but no
so Snoke could have been a puppet that was "force possessed" by Palpatine. Just a thought.
Snoke = plageus
@InSanctvs Interesting idea about Palpatine faking death, if he ends up him having faked death and being alive, I'd want really good reasoning like that.
@@slutwagon4270 I hope honestly.
He’s mace windu
Snoke is another Count Dooku. Just as he disposed of Dooku in "Revenge", it made sense to get rid of Snoke in Last Jedi.
Revenge | Sith
Return | Jedi
Rise | Skywalker
The Skywalker I think refers to a new order of force users that is neither a sith or Jedi. Just like rise is kinda in between return and revenge
That would be so lame!!!!!!!!!!!!
That "Three R's" is a brilliant observation.
Exactly! You have to bring BALANCE to the force! Not JUST light or JUST dark! Excellent work Carlin Brothers!
I have said this since before the release of episode 7...Rey is a Palpatine. Look how similar her fighting style is to his, I called so much before the movies came out it isn't funny. I'll have to dig through my old post on UA-cam to find where I said this, but it has always been in my mind. The main thing I got wrong was that I thought Snoke might be Plagieus. 8 killed that idea.
I believe that it is Anakain because you hear Vader’s breathing at the end
I've always thought this was the case since I first saw The Force Awakens. Rey even fights like Palpatine (seriously, watch how she fights Kylo Ren and compare it to how Sidious fights Windu), she's naturally strong like him and even has a British accent like him. Keep in mind John Boyega is also British but was instructed by JJ Abrams not to use it, meaning he specifically wanted Rey to have that accent.
This would also be a great way of mirroring Return of the Jedi, in that the Skywalker was of the light and Palpatine of the dark, but now the Palpatine is if the light and the Skywalker of the dark.
Very true... Her style matches Palatine. And finding out your a clone of the most evil man ever... Yeah that would do it!
What if kylo becomes good and Rey becomes evil. Would be the twist of the century.
Could happen seeing as leia is his mother but highly think they will go that route
Too obvious and predictable. Since this is the last movie couldn't we just have a well balanced story and a good ending?
@@hackman669 I think it would be sweet, it's nice to see a good character become evil an a evil character become good. It shows us how we're all capable of good and evil.
Yeah
When I first watched the trailer and Palpatine laughed, I screamed and threw my phone across the bed. And if that weren’t enough, you play it in the middle of the video out of nowhere! I definitely screamed again! Stop it!
"Rise" doesn't have an inherently positive connotation. The title could very simply refer to Kylo's rise to the supreme power of the galaxy. He did say to the helmet, "I will finish what you started".
plot twist: the new skywalker is actually the boy from the end of episode 8 xD
The rise of skywalkers is effectively the order of the grey, light and dark maintaining balance in the force
I’m definitely with Palpatine creating Rey,
You have Rey (technically daughter of a sith) turned light that is pinned against Kylo Ren (Seed of the Jedi) turned dark eventually joining forces together to maintain balance
Still not wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What if Snoke was a clone of Palpatine?
I think Snoke may have been a puppet of Palpatine's. I can't see why Palpatiine isn't alive because of the Darth Plagus story and the need of Star Wars to bring their fans back.
Unfortunately it's been said many times, including by JJ Abrams who invented the character, that Snope is much older (though not necessarily more powerful) than Sidious.
"I like my coffee black...like my men!"-Airplane
I actually really like the theory that Rey is Anakin Skywalker reincarnated for a second try to bring true balance to the force
Do. Or do not. There is no try.
Would that make her Kylo's grandmother?
I mean Vader did actually balance to the force. There was the same amount of light siders and dark siders

WAIT, WAIT... Would this theory, by extension, be implying that, much like the biblical story of the choosing of Matthias as the replacement for Judas, the Jedi were hasty in affirming Anakin as the one the Prophecy spoke about? The parallel being that shortly after Matthias was chosen, God chose Paul to be an apostle; likewise the Force would have chosen Rey as the fulfillment of the prophecy of the one who would bring balance to the Force.
Tl;Dr: Everyone was wrong and Rey was actually the one the Prophecy spoke of. Obvious biblical parallel in the book of Acts.
He did bring balance until Luke brought back the Jedi and Snoke appeared.
By killing off all the Jedi Anakin DID bring balance
Right, so not true, permanent balance...
@@kjardine06 no such thing as true balance. There will always be conflict. Chaos is the natural order of the universe. 2 Sith (Darth Vader and Paplatine) and 2 Jedi (Obi and Yoda) was much closer to balance then thousands of Jedi.
True. I don't disagree with him being a balancing force. I suppose I'm just not convinced that he was THE balancing force, especially if this theory is true; a melding of dark and light teachings would solidify the balance the Force was looking for.
God, what a messed up family
This guy would know how to find the Wayfinder without the dagger
I THOUGHT THAT LIGHTSABER BROKE WHEN KYLO AND REY DID THAT FORCE PULLING THINGY
Emiliano Perez they fixed it
Liking this video big time... 👍😁👍😁👍
Note the term "RISE" was also said by Palpatine when Anakin was renamed Vader by him... 😁🤪😁🤪😁
So even more Palpatine & Vader stuff... 👍😉👍😉👍
Literally after the Last Jedi came out I made a theory explaining how Rey is the "perfect force being" created by something and noe I believe Palp created her. If you read this comment please let me send it to you it's a real nice read
Just post it
@@gfamhomevideos8062 I also realized that at the bottom of my theory i talk of her learning throug Kylo sith moves, she learned those from Snoke's teaching to Kylo, snoke teaching kylo powerful moves from snoke maybe snoke is palp? That is all Carlin's theory.
@SuperCarlinBrothers I hope yall read this
Plot twist (to “subvert expectations”) :
Finn is a Kenobi and Poe kills Kylo because he is secretly his brother and he is technically a Skywalker because Han is a descendant of Shmi’s cousin who widowed.
I think the only way this theory could not be true is if the writers changed the plot after watching this video in order to avoid plot exposure before it comes out lol. I really think you might be on to something with this theory.
When J says the only way they can defeat Palpatine is by joining forces to form a new order.
Then:
"Your coming together is your undoing..."
