- The TED Audio Collective is a collection of podcasts for the curious.
This is an episode of ReThinking with Adam Grant, a podcast from the TED Audio Collective. When Reese Witherspoon was in rehearsals for her lead role in the 2005 film Walk the Line, she wanted to quit - every day. But she went on to win the Oscar for her performance as June Carter Cash. Since then, she’s gone from playing iconic roles in films (Legally Blonde, Election, Water for Elephants) to producing and starring in her own TV shows and movies (Little Fires Everywhere, Big Little Lies, Wild). Reese talks to Adam about how she’s built confidence by facing her doubts head on and shares why acknowledging what she doesn’t know helped her found a company - which was recently acquired for $900 million - that finally puts women at the center of their stories.

Reese is such an inspiration! She has so much wisdom and experience to share while still being kind, generous, humble person and a confident woman. I love her, thank you for this interview ❤
I loved this podcast so much. I've always admired Reese and to hear her authentically share her struggles as she tapped into her deepest potential was enlightening and inspiring. Thank you!
Great example of professional attidude, Thank You Mrs.Reese!
Thank you TED Audio Collective for sharing this. If I were to ask Reese Witherspoon a question, not book related, I would ask if she could share a list of audio video works, documentaries of film production that best aligns to her latest and more refined work; for that audience reach and impact correlated to our everyday lives.

Thank you so much for this talk! Love the idea of letting yourself be imperfect, and also about gaining your confidence through the experience. Overall conversation is so empowering!
You are so welcome! We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed listening to this conversation.
By far the MOST wonderful conversation with Reese. I have such great respect for the ethnography that good actors invest into developing their characters.
Excellent! Worth watching again.
So glad you enjoyed it!
great interview ever!!!

TED Audio Collective, if UA-cam empowered all channel content creators to view this type of interview as if it were a FaceTime call and enable viewers to toggle between whom to view full screen and have the other interviewer minimized within that full screen window, that would be great. Taking into consideration and account the body language and editing skills of each for this style of interview. Taking into account any other additional questions anyone may have to include as a comment. No questions as of yet, however, UA-cam is making progress.
this interview is much more interesting than Joe Rogan’s one. I’m surprised I hadn’t seen it earlier 😮
