Such a cool way to find snakes here in the U.S. Rumor has it that you can shine vinesnakes the same way. Not that we tried or anything. Nice vid, short and packed a lot of info.
I have no idea how I missed your last few uploads, but I'm glad to be finally catching up on them now! I liked the style of this video, you got a lot of information in and never had to cause very much stress on the snake at all. Nice work guys! - Harrison and Evan
I found this video searching for answers about sleeping green snakes. My neighbor’s children lost their toy drone in my tree. We looked and looked but couldn’t find it. I thought maybe I could find it by its reflection, at night, with a flashlight. I turned the light into the tree and first thing I see is a resting green snake. It appeared to be sleeping. I wondered, do they sleep? Now I know. 70 yo and we never stop learning.
Thanks so much! To be honest, I don't have a favorite pair and for most of the rattlesnake work we did I relied on the relatively inexpensive snake gaiters our lab purchased. Not always the most comfortable things but they did end up working when it counted. The boots may be more comfortable but the gaiters are more practical and much cheaper. I've been relying on Muck boots for our massasauga work but they are certainly not made to withstand snake bites specifically lol.
I had seen a rough green snake years ago in my black berry patch hoping there are a few still around.what time of night is best, and what temp at night is best for them here in indiana.
Such a pretty snake. Arboreal snakes are awesome.

Thanks! It is pretty wild and definitely feels out of place for the Midwest 😅
Beautiful snakes! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks guys!
Nice video. I haven't seen a green snake in years, but now I know how best to look for them when I'm back in their range
Thanks! Yes, they are definitely tricky to spot during the daytime.
GORGEOUS snake!! XXXX 👍💖🐍
Great video, guys! Someone needs to study rough greens!
Thanks, couldn’t agree more!
