I've owned one of these cute guys for a little over a year now. Never saw him ever go near the water pool that was once part of his enclosure. So weird to see how effortlessly and naturally they move underwater! Thank you so much for this footage and for your other videos, really amazing stuff!
That is ridiculous! I've never seen so many in one pool before, and (as always) the b-roll footage of them swimming around is absolutely FANTASTIC. Great work guys!
Watching this video, I’m just kinda sitting here in awe of you guys. Firstly, as I’ve said before, that footage is absolutely unreal. Straight up, your channel has the best salamander behavior footage that I have ever seen on UA-cam. Absolutely unparalleled, its like you are part salamander Zach! And the delivery and storytelling was absolutely perfect, I’m now afraid to release our Spotted Salamander episode for fear of looking like amateurs! You guys absolutely killed it, this was a beautiful video and a fascinating story, you guys are going to be huge. I’m honored to say I know you guys, and I can’t wait to follow you to all the amazing places you’ll go. - Harrison and Evan
Thanks guys, we really appreciate your kind words and are excited to see your video! I’m sure our angles and focus will be slightly different but that is a good thing and our videos will connect with different people in different ways, which is much needed! You guys have a real knack for bringing the viewer in with you for the experience!
That congress is so incredible! I love all the fairy shrimp going by too! I wish you had made this a few years ago when I did the Spotted Salamander graphic :) I want to come with you guys next year XD
It is an outstanding graphic! You are more than welcome to join us next spring, though I'm not sure where the three of us who work on this channel will be when the amphibians come out to breed haha (I - Andrew - will be in Ohio, but our underwater videographer - Zach - could be anywhere, and our graphic design guy - John - will likely be out of the country still)

This could be a Nat-Geo segment. Seriously. Incredible footage guys!
Great factual video, I hope those awesome salamanders a safe journey

Thanks Ben, Zach staked out multiple ponds over many nights to get the timing/numbers/water clarity you see here!

This footage was 🤯 great video, guys!
Thanks, Zach spent a lot of hours tinkering with that setup and hanging out at ponds to get it!
Great vid!
Love this!
What’s the green creature swimming around?
Those are fairy shrimp!
