There are some short comings with auto podcast, you have to record audio individually or else it won't work. Not sure why they didn't mentioned that or show some finishing results...Also I hope adobe implement this.....
Hello, Great video. I have a question. Let's imagine the video track chosen by the AI shown to the final editor doesn't suit us. Is it possible to select a different video track (from a different camera) to appear in the final edit and how? Also, is it possible to choose which camera to display by default when no one is talking (no audio) and how ? thank you!
You can change the angles after the fact as you're going through the timeline pretty easy. I don't know about the default angle, it's got some options for the frequency of the wide angle.
This looks cool oh wait... $29 A MONTH! lmao it's dead on arrival at that price point. No little plugin should be subscription based like this, they will get booted out of contention and quickly forgotten about when a better one time purchase cheaper option comes available. The absolute cheek to charge as a subscription! I'm genuinely baffled at that. There isn't any defending this type of greed in a world where AI is developing at a breakneck speed. They must know it as well and are just trying to cash out. Adobe will smoke whatever this is in the coming months I'm certain.

I would like to see more of a video review on what is the extent of what AutoPod is capable of? Can it auto edit clips and memes in the right places? I know you said there will need to be some manual adjustments but by how much time and effort would be needed for a more extensive video adding clips and memes compared to just editing a podcast or interview after using AutoPod?
This system is definitely not at the level to really be used much more than to occasionally cut between speakers in a multicam setting (which some in camera tech has already been doing for a while now). I tried using this on a 2-minute scripted scene and it did not do well at all. It added 4 cuts that didn't follow the speaker or action. The longer the clip or video file that people use it on (and the more zoomed out they are in the sequence) the more impressive it will look. Great for podcasts and 2+ hour multicam content but as of right now I will say it a minimum viable product. Also a little sus about the channel here including a trackable link to download AutoPod. Seems like this is one big ad with some kickbacks for downloads. Should be letting the audience know...
This didnt work for me when i got sent the podcast footage and all of the clips had the same audio(not each camera with different speakers audio). anyone knows a fix?
Been in the discord with some people with the same issue. It really needs the separate audio in order to make it work, so it comes down to getting the recording nailed.
For my podcast, I have connected 3 microphones to a Rode Rodecaster, which is connected to the Atem Mini Pro ISO. Four cameras are connected to the Atem Mini Pro ISO. As a result, I ultimately have only one audio track. Can the program distinguish between them?
Hello, does anyone know if this application works if the audio recording is done with the Rode Wireless GO II Digital Compact Wireless Microphone System for 2 people that is recorded in 1 single camera (not both) or if 2 different microphones would be needed What do they record on each camera to make it work?
you need separate audio which you'll probably get with your setup. if you have a single camera you could create 3 different angles by cropping and swap between them depending on your composition. angle 1 = crop 1 angle 2 = crop 2 angle 3 = wide shot (original shot) Hope that makes sense. 👍
I film bar band performances where I have 4 cameras running and then have to edit about a 2 hour show. Anything to edit a music performance like this? I doubt it would work as there is only 1 person singing and not sure how it would know to go to guitars, drums, etc.
I had the same thought. I think if you have separate audio for each instrument (from a monitor mix) and assign each angle to an instrument you can get some pretty quick results.
If you recorded all your talent onto a single mic, it won’t work. However, if you have two talent on one mic and one more on another, or a similar configuration where you have at least two tracks, you can use Izotope’s De-bleed function to try and isolate enough of an individual speaker for the AI to pick up on it. It should also be fine if the speakers baked in to the audio are congruent with speakers baked into the camera; for example, guest one and two are in the same shot and on the same track.
