  • We are taking these sweet girls to the beach. Hope they have a great time.
There are storms around, most of which are small and we have no problems.
This is my first trip to Destin with a control tower. It was very nice especially compared to the way it used to be.
Our route ended up being Rommy Varre with deviations and vectors.
Scripture reference at the end should be Psalm 37:25 not Proverbs.

Thanks! Yes I’m very pleased with the aircraft and my job. I had some reservations to start with but the M2 performs well.
God has blessed me more than I deserve.

We saw you dropped to 999, so Janis subscribed to get you to 1,000! Looked like you had a great route along the coast, we flew the same route going to the Bahamas! Who says you can’t have good views in a jet!!
    Have a blessed day!!!!

Ha! Thanks Janis! I noticed it has been back and forth from 1000 to 999 several times. 🤷
I like flying the coast. The beach was beautiful.

Great video!. Question. I've been looking for a used M2 and found some corrosion on a couple of jets where the blue juice had leaked from the potty tank and ran down the fuselage to the wing spar and bellcock. Bad news as it is an expensive fix. Have you ever heard of or seen this"?

    • @planeanddirtsimple
      @planeanddirtsimple  2 роки тому

      Thanks!
No I have not seen it or heard of it that I can remember. That should have been caught on some of the inspections. I believe on the M2 if that was happening you could see the leak in the battery area in front of luggage compartment.

@@planeanddirtsimple From what I understand is that they are unreported spills for the most part. Both the blue juice and the urine are very corrosive and just a small amount is all that is needed to corrode the metal. In flight the fluid will work underneath the skin of the fuselage and the only way to see it is with a snake camera or tear down to the frame.

I get nervous enough driving the boat on a busy lake weekend I can’t imagine what that would be like trying navigate traffic in the air without a tower?!

Hey I enjoy your vids. I just received my M2 525S type and have only flown our plane on 3 trips so far. Is there a setting somewhere to get the ground callouts (500, 400, 300 etc)? all i get now is 500'
Also, is there a setting to change BOTH PFD baros with the pilots side? Each needs set separately now. We have the 4.8 software. TIA

    • @planeanddirtsimple

On the GTC, go to setup, avionics settings, system tab(top left corner) should automatically be selected, then select Baro pressure sync option on the right.
Next look down the left side of screen and select the Alerts tab. Scroll all the way down and select touchdown callouts. Select settings and choose the callouts you want.
      Hope this helps!

@@planeanddirtsimple got the sync baro done! On Alerts tab, I don’t have or see a touchdown call out?. It has Baro transitions , arrival alert and then different air spaces and then the last one says “other” but I don’t have any options when I click it
