Father faces prison after bullets were found in his bag in Turks and Caicos

- Oklahoma father Ryan Watson was celebrating his 40th birthday with his family in Turks and Caicos, but now he’s facing a possible prison sentence after deer hunting bullets were found in his bag. The local government recently tightened its laws in 2022 around firearms and ammunition. NBC’s Sam Brock reports for TODAY.

If you travel with firearms, you always keep them and the ammo in their own bags. Don't ever mix them in with your luggage.
This probably sounds absolutely wild to anyone outside the US, but a lot of us just panicked at the thought.

If you go abroad, respect their laws! Why would you have ammo in your suitcase? The old "that is not mine" excuse doesn't work...

I believe this man. Why just carry bullets without a gun. Just bullets is crazy for a 12 year prison term. If he had a gun i can understand that. I hope he gets help from the US. He doesn't look like someone who would do this on purpose. This is so sad this happened. Better be extra careful when you travel to these other countries.
International countries toughen up their laws because of what the nonsense that happens here in the US.

Why would he just take bullets. The bullets could be in a place he didn't see them. What kind of bullets are these. Are they bullets used for deer hunting. More needs to be checked out. These short videos is what they want us to see.

Anybody who hunts or goes to the range knows how easy it is to tuck a couple rounds of loose ammo in a pouch and forget about it. Shot happens. Places needs to have common sense about these things and use discretion instead of beimg lazy and just slamming people regardless of circumstances.
For him to get through the airport while traveling to get to Turks and Caicos shows the privilege certain groups have by default in america. Dont do the crime if you cant do the time.
