What’s crazy is, the show was elite during 3 different iterations which is super rare for any show let alone sports show. They continuously changed the hosts and format yet were still one of the best shows on ESPN.
Always been a huge fan of Michelle Beadle. Great episode Dan, thank you for being such a good active listener and interviewer and thank you Michelle for being so vulnerable and true in this hour together.
Wow, what an amazing, generous, honest & intimate sharing of life experiences by these two special human beings that are so much more than sports media personalities. I will be saving this interview & rewatching it again & again. It is so real. Thank you both so much.
Definition of a fantastic interview: an interviewer asking insightful questions and genuinely listening to his guest combined with the guest not shying away from any questions while providing concise, thoughtful responses. This is it...
In 1997, Michelle was 26 years old and I was 15. We met in a chat room on AOL. She sent me some tantalizing photos. I knew she'd make it big one day because all she ever talked about was sports
Some people might poo poo on your story but I believe you because I remember back in the late 90s I was in a talk city chat room talking to a woman name dawn...goofy and fine at the same time...she had a 2 year old son. ..to make a long story short..that woman is Ezekiel elliott's mom
Michelle Breadle is such an authentic, open-book. Thank you for sharing what are normally really tough stories of family and loss. Really good interview
Still remember growing up listening to her do traffic for Michael Kay Show on 770 every afternoon in the mid 2005s to see her do SportsNation later on, she was great 😊
I've always been a fan of Michelle, I was legitimately sad when sportsnation went away & ultimately she left. I watch anything I can that she's on. Also miss her podcast, it loved the kayne rants lol also this was a great insight to Dan I watched him on ESPN also but never kept up. This was such a great episode.
Always been a fan.. and salute to Dan to always be able to tap in to the real and get the true feelings from situations that would be skeletons in the closet for most people
This was such a great session. The part about loss made me choke up. Botg Sportsnation and Highly Questionable were two shows that I would always record and watch right after I got home from school
Man my dad died last month and I’m handling it like MB at the moment. I work in emergency healthcare I’ve helped saved lives and been in many codes but seeing my dad in the hospital loosing his mind, was completely different and having to tell the healthcare team to stop CPR because he’s in double organ failure is so hurtful. I don’t know the correct way to handle it but man it’s a different kind of pain and having to go back to work and see people twice my fathers age with multiple health issues still living I’m happy for them but human nature makes you just realize how unfair and random life is. Music has been my how I’ve dealt with it so far. Good episode
I feel exactly the same, great time, I’m going to see it again tomorrow with my girl, definitely a different film, we’re not going to get something like this again for a loooong time if u really think about it, them on hot wings was hilarious!
I didn’t expect to be crying, but here we are. I’m the exact way about my wife’s death. I’m more pissed than sad or depressed. And yeah, dark humor gets me through. And it freaks some people out. Me and her family though? We laugh to heal.
Losing people sucks but I feel as an introvert it feels more terrible. I don't know how extroverts deal with grief but as an introvert you only let so many people in and losing them feels multiplicative. I'm not going to replenish the pool of loved people. Each and every death is so painful. Maybe it is worse for extroverts too because you may lose even more loved ones because you created relationships with more people. Death is just so bad. I wish everyone grace in dealing with it.
Scary yet also funny how much I relate to this person. Miss her on tv. I think this interview highlights a coin being two-sided, but you try to be a good person & go.
MB is a man's woman. She can hang w the bros and be authentic. She is as real as the day is long. I believe the grieving never ends when we lose the ones closest to us. It as if a part of the living dies too. It is possible to "move on" but you will never be complete again. It is okay to lean into it and remember and cry, but it has to be in moments, not a constant. We owe the departed our grief; it is how they will never be forgotten. Loss hurts more than having, and we never forget. That is eternal life... be memorable to the ones you love.
best sports reporter on espn.they forced her out loved&still love her.she spoke some good truth.shes knows alot of sports&alot of basketball&all.but damn espn.just likes you dan.didnt lets her speak her mind&how she felt about certain subjects thats ''woke'' espn dont like.
I started watching SportsNation for Colin Cowherd, but I kept watching for Michelle Beadle. That show worked because it allowed her to be silly and funny. Michelle is not at her best when she's a correspondent (e.g. - NBCSN) or a moderator (NBA Countdown). Instead, Michelle is at her best when she's given the space to ad lib. How about "The Dan LeBatard Show with Michelle Beadle" if Stugotz bolts for WFAN?
I was feeling her story the first 4:30 until she said her dad suggested she should talk to his friend, THE PRESIDENT OF THE SPURS. I instantly remembered Im Black and in America.
I don’t think race and being in America has anything to do with connections… it’s just luck. If you knew the president of the Spurs personally, regardless of skin color, you could definitely get an internship. lmao not everything is racism buddy it’s just a matter of connections and luck. Nobody hired her cause she’s white 😭
Man, I forgot how much I miss Beadle on TV! I don't watch much ESPN anymore, perhaps because they got rid of all the great on-air talent. Only PTI remains...
Beads was cool AF, and then she did some real FUCK SHIT to me and just didn't view her the same after that. She still good peeps but there is a reason why certain folks don't fuck wit her no more
Beadle you switch jobs like you switch clothes like come on girl don’t make me buy am radio and your show is only there for like. Month love you Beadle
THE LEBRON HATER LOL . FROM ESPN TO OOO WHATEVER SHE NNEDS TO GET VIEWS. AND LEBATARD IS HATER TOO . ALL THE HATERS GOT FIRED LOL THINMK ABOUT THAT. YOU HATE YOUR OUTTA THERE . THATS RIGHT ESPN AND DISNEY
lol, gee, I wonder how this incredibly beautiful, smart woman, whose father was best friends with the guy that ran a freaking NBA franchise, ever made it? I guess we’ll never know.
I loved Michelle on sports nation with Marcellus. I’d watch that all the way to the end of pti at 6 everyday. Miss those days
Sportsnation with Beadle and Cowherd is such an under-rated show, one of the best.......
Reports are that she's about to join FS1 to work with Carton, so she could have a Cowherd reunion as well
@@steveknick1978I don’t think they ever liked each other or don’t anymore. Just a business/coworker relationship
@@Christian-eq6pq ah, okay. I don’t know where Carton does his show…if it’s in NY then she wouldn’t be around Cowherd in LA anyway
Beadle Cowherd reunion would feed families for decades
They both sucked
Always loved her. I was super pissed when she left ESPN the first time
SportsNation was the best daily sports show of all time!

Will always have a soft spot for Beadle. Finding out so much about her made me respect her even more. Great conversation.
I love Beadle!!!
Shoutout to Michelle, man; she’s a real one and I dig her.
Always been a huge fan of Michelle Beadle. Great episode Dan, thank you for being such a good active listener and interviewer and thank you Michelle for being so vulnerable and true in this hour together.
This world needs her Max and Marcellus to get back together
Oh yea i forgot max was on there too he was more serious and Marcellus was more playful
I used to dislike max till they replaced his show with that scrap in the morning now
Oh man, I totally forgot about Marcellus! They were so fun together.
This was an excellent discourse!

I always loved Beadle on ESPN and this interview made me love her more. Wasn't even planning on watching this but once I started I couldn't stop.
Beadle is awesome. She is so easy to identify with for such a unique personality. Great guest. Can't wait for next season of Run it Back.

Used to like her, she got paid so many millions to keep getting canceled shows. Not bad.
Im here to match her voice with the clip I dont think its her
Lol
The one person she dislikes in the industry is LeBron, fyi. And that makes me like her more!
Oh, I assumed she was talking about Steven A, she's been pretty clear in the past that she's not a fan, unless they've mended fences.
Look at some of the videos she's been in
She's not the most liked
Does anyone like Sage?!
Michelle is aging terribly.
*googles zip code of The Elser* 🤔
Also, y did she get fired so many times, hmmmmmmmm
isn't this the girls gone bible set?
Man, talk about a broken person. Oof.
Maybe re-do the intro with the new slimmer Dan? :D
