I think Baltsa's performance was better in every way - her acting was more believable and in-character, her intonation was better, the use of multiple vocal registers was exhilarating, and I could understand every single word she was saying.
come on, it’s like saying you prefer Sprite to Clicquot. both these two ladies here have distinctive tone , dramatic power and unique personality. while Garanca is very mediocre and generic in both singing and performing. listen carefully, how these two women deliver crystal clear pronunciation and diction, try to feel their unique phrasing and how they put tone, strength, emotion, and color on such syllable and each note. Garanca is OK for beginner, but you need to grow as a listener and find the real thing along the way.
Each one is good in its own way!

I love Agnes and her chest voice!

Для меня однозначно интереснее и лучше Abnes Baltsa, даже несмотря на более слабую работу дирижёра

Elina Garanca does it better. I liked her voice better, and she really lit up the stage with her portrayal of Carmen.
