This song is one of two TW songs available on the video game Rock Band IV. This is the first song TW wrote together. It is from the EP Escape the Mind, their first foray into songwriting. Yes, it is sadly very underappreciated and TW no longer play it live.
IMO this is the benchmark song that set the precedent for TW “sound” that we all know today. This is a surprisingly complex “simple” song where even at a young age they already figured out how to balance their vocals, harmonies and instruments for the best interest of the song in a true collaboration between themselves.
I really like the song, but I would disagree and say that for me anyway, the benchmark is XXI Century Blood. I absolutely love the song. It was where you really saw them in the groove they are now. The harmonies, the heavy sound. It hit me like a freight train when I first heard it. The music video was really cool too.

OMG This is in my top 10 favorite songs by The Warning. I'd love for them to add Free Falling to their tour set list. The backup vocals and harmonies were great whenever they performed this as young kids live. I did get Dany to promise to do a breakdown and review of Free Falling for her Aug Master class. It should be a ton of fun and maybe we can persuade her to seriously consider adding it to the set list as it is such a historical song for DPA and it is just fantastic live. 🤘😎
You won't hear this on the set list, but they do perform songs from XXI Century Blood. I think they quit using the Fish jar. Dany hates when you call it the fish jar 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Amazing to consider how young the were when they wrote Free Falling. They attribute this song as a major evolution as a band because the wrote it together. I think they were 14, 12 and 9.
I love this song and this band. I think that maybe some of these songs should be re-released with ‘adult voices’. I notice that both Dany and Pau sang a little off key at times on ‘Escape the Mind’ EP, which is to be expected for the age and maybe prior to vocal coaching/training. It is not a negative, just an observation. Their vocals/harmonies on all three of their LP’s are jawdroppingly awesome!

Under-rated and sadly forgotten (it has been passed over for the newer product - fair enough),but this is much much better live,as is their whole repertoire,especially Paus pounding drums. I've often said,it would be interesting to see the girls re-record this whole EP to add their more mature vocals,plus with their musical experience.
They now have released 16 clips out of the 21 songs they performed at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX in August 29, 2023. That concert is a watershed for their live performances as it was the first time they headlined before a crowd of over 3000. They sold out the venue twice (once on Friday the 26th and again on Monday the 29th). Although there are portions of video that were clipped from each show spliced together, the audio was captured mainly from the soundboard on the August 29th show, so everything sounds crystal clear. You pick up on a lot of subtleties and can actually hear all three of their voices in the harmonies. Over the course of the entire show they performed each of the tracks from the Error album. This was the first time they had performed Revenant and 23 live, both songs that Pau performs. There are some surprises as well, including some special guest performers, friends and past mentors who are big names in the Mexican Rock music scene. Pau performs Narcisista as the front woman with her drum instructor, Beto Ramos, sitting in at her kit, for example. So, reacting to some of the clips over the next few days would be a fantastic way to get fired up for your first experience of The Warning in concert in NJ.
