Thank you Dimitra, I've been making them for 40years but in logs and cut and recook and so on, your recipe is so much easier and quicker and very delicious 😋 just make a big batch today. Kalo Mina and keep well , kind regards , you are a very good cook.❤️🧿🇬🇷
Just tried making them this week. They are delicious. I actually put both walnuts and Sesame seeds in the dough before mixing. I love these cookies with walnuts and the orange and cinnamon flavors are amazing together. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Thank you Dimitra, I just made this, my dough was quite soft , i had to add 1/4 cup flour to be able to handle it, but the cookies turned out very nice, thank you
Made these today, just quartered the recipe to see how they turn out, looking good in oven so far!!! Might try veg oil next time, add walnuts and a little sesame seeds!!! Good for fasting if you use veg oil!!!
In Morocco there are similar biscuits, but even simpler. Just flour, sugar, salt, and plain olive oil (the one people cook with)/ other cooking oils. Don't remember there being cinnamon in them. They are pale. I was amazed, having watched them being made, that so few and simple ingredients could make such delicious biscuits (US 'cookies').
Baked these, this afternoon. They came out very mild-flavored, and slightly crumbly. (I’d never had these before, so wasn’t sure if that’s what they were meant to be like). Myself, next time, I’ll double the amount of Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice, add extra vanilla, and maybe some Ceylon Cinnamon…, but then, again, it wouldn’t be this biscuits, anylonger, would it? Also, since as a novice baker, I couldn’t get them to twist without crumbling, I patted them flat, instead, and they came out as big fat soft cookies (kinda like crumbly biscuits). They DID taste better when dipped in Coffee :)) I’ll try them again. What I LOVED MOST about them: No commercial flavored HFCS, dough conditioners, etc… No artificial Aftertaste. For these, alone, the trying these out, was totally worth it! :))
Yummies!!! You always make good stuff that I love to try, so far I’ve made about 8 recipes from you and they all turned out very nice my bf loves it!!! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job!
Love this recipe. Made it twice already. 2nd time I only had 1 cup and a quarter of oil left but it still turned out. Anyone else use less oil?? I use vegetable oil. I might try it with one cup next time ;-)
Hi! I love how you cook I watched plenty of your recipe I want to learn more of Greek food that's why I subscribed on your channel I learn a lot from you.. Actually I worked in a Tanker ship with Greek and Filipino crew. I'm on vacation I will come back on March.. I'm very happy that I watched your cooking it's easy to follow... 😊😊😊
I have made these many times now and they are always a hit, so unusual here in Toowoomba. I am going to try make gluten free ones this week. I take it these are halal as well. I always use sesame seeds.
Mam your recipes look very good! How much does your 1 cup of flour weigh? Would really appreciate if the measurements were in grms for accuracy. Thanks.
I would love to make these but I don't have baking soda, I have only baking powder. Could you please advise? Else tomorrow I will buy baking soda. Thank you ❤️
Yum! I plan to make them as soon as we're back from vacation...yes, I'm watching you while on vacation! It's all that good! One question though, can the cinnamon be substituted by anything else? My husband can't stand cinnamon...Lord knows why!?!
Oh no!! I would normally say that you don't need that negativity in your life, but in this case since he's your husband we will make it work. lol! You can completely leave the cinnamon out. Just add an extra teaspoon of vanilla extract. The orange, vanilla, and cloves (does he like those? it's such a tiny bit so maybe he won't notice) are super flavorful. Let me know how they turn out :)
Is this a dry cookie? I was in Greece this summer I had cookies they were dry and had a taste of olive oil. I loved eating them. Now I want to make in the UK ❤
Hi, live your recipes, I made these orange and almond olive oil biscuit, however I followed led the exact ingredients but the mixture in the end was too runny and hard to manage , should I have put more flour ? Thanks
can't wait to make these. can we substitute flour for almost d or coconut flour? if so, would the other ingredients need to be altered? love your videos bring me warmth and happiness
Dimitra you are the best. I love your recipes and how you present them. One question. As I like raisins, could I add a cup of raisins? If so, what quantity do you suggest?
I prefer a light olive oil that is a bit more processed. The really good olive oil will make these heavy and slightly bitter. Maybe half really good olive oil and half light...

You won't belevevit. I forgot the olive oil and it still came out great. Forgot to halve the clove so that dreaded the tongue a bit. Used gluten free flour. Great recipe
Not divided into 45 cookies. Take that cup of sugar and make 45 piles…not much sugar per cookie after all. As well, less sugar will still yield delicious cookie.
Thanks for the recipe, they look really delicious, but please stop saying they're healthy. They're just as unhealthy as any cookie would be. They have a lot of fat and sugar. Vegan doesn't automatically mean healthy. Veganism is an ethical movement for the animals, and has nothing to do with health. Some people are plant-based, that's where the health factor kicks in, and still: these delicious cookies contain a lot of fat and sugar and therefore aren't healthier or less fattening than other cookies.

I really appreciate the precision in the recipe, it's difficult to get from mamas or yiayias!

My little boy doesn't really like sweets, no cake, no cookies, no candies. He is a picky eater but he loves your cookie recipe. Thanks you

Amazing cookie. Thanks for sharing your amazing tips 😃
I have made these five time now. Very popular with the family and friends. Great to take to a function as they are a surprising delight.
I agree! I love that they stay fresh for a long time too :)
I love these, I buy them at the bakeries in Greece in summer, thank you very much for the recipe! I eat them with yoghurt, by the way :)
I have made them with almond flour and half regular and they were fantastic. I think I will go for all almond flour next.
Love it!
Paras Eve I’ve used almond flour for Kourambiethes and they are fantastic!

Looks delicious!! Where did you buy your juicer from I didn’t see on your list thx!
I have made these many times now and they are always a hit, so unusual here in Toowoomba. I am going to try make gluten free ones this week. I take it these are halal as well. I always use sesame seeds.
Big hit with the gluten intolerant person, the Moslems, and the Greek daughter at the head injury recovery group that my wife runs.

I would love to make these but I don't have baking soda, I have only baking powder. Could you please advise? Else tomorrow I will buy baking soda. Thank you ❤️
oh my goodness. I must make these.
Yum! I plan to make them as soon as we're back from vacation...yes, I'm watching you while on vacation! It's all that good! One question though, can the cinnamon be substituted by anything else? My husband can't stand cinnamon...Lord knows why!?!
The cinnamon can be substituted for either nutmeg or allspice. Use a 1/4 of the amount.
Be careful though because those are very potent flavors. I wouldn't put more than 1/4 teaspoon total. Thanks Tanya :)
Dimitra's Dishes Thank you, will do! Extra vanilla is always welcome in our house, if not just for the aroma!😊
So close to 20 k subs now. Conbratulations.

Dimitra you are the best. I love your recipes and how you present them. One question. As I like raisins, could I add a cup of raisins? If so, what quantity do you suggest?

What kind of olive oil do you use? I like a strong Greek olive oil that is great in a salad, but not sure if it would be god in cookies. Thanks!
I prefer a light olive oil that is a bit more processed. The really good olive oil will make these heavy and slightly bitter. Maybe half really good olive oil and half light...

Hi how much flour and sugar do we need.
You won't belevevit. I forgot the olive oil and it still came out great. Forgot to halve the clove so that dreaded the tongue a bit. Used gluten free flour. Great recipe
Hello Dimitra, I have tried your recipe above, but following correctly I had oil spread from flour, so why did I have the daugh floating on oil.
Mixing the batter for too long causes the oil to separate...
Amazing xxxxx
How many cups of flour
1 cup is equal to 200ml ? Or 250 ml ?
240
How much flour and soda and bakin
Her website has the recipe and also in the description box above.
I wouldn't call these healthy cookies as 1 cup of sugar is a loot of sugar.
Not divided into 45 cookies. Take that cup of sugar and make 45 piles…not much sugar per cookie after all. As well, less sugar will still yield delicious cookie.
I love ur recipe butttttt I'm upset because u never give exact measurements.. like some flour some sugar.
