People who dislike them probably don't have the first clue about how much talent it truly takes to do a cappella and get the full sound they have, especially for an all men's group. They're INCREDIBLE.
what blows my mind is he sings so high without it sounding falsetto - it's a pure, clear note.
This is a piece of artistic genius.

It seems to be an unwritten rule that if you call yourself an a cappella group and you can't do Lion Sleeps, you're not a real a cappella group. But you REALLY have to have incredible musical chops to work "Hakuna Matata" and "Brown Eyed Girl" right into the middle of it, and bring it home without it sounding forced or gimmicky. These guys, simply put, are JUST THAT GOOD.

Oh, come on, Trevor White. Brown Eyed-Girl is only the best boyfriend/girlfriend song to hit the planet. And yes, these guys are really just that good.

They are so well balanced and blend incredibly well.
In an age where so many singers use filters and effects, it's so refreshing to hear a TRULY talented group of singers! I know the video is old, but I think the music is just as awesome today as it was then!

Tenor. For males, it's tenor, especially since, vocally, it's extremely rare to reach the kind of notes sopranos can.
serban031 The voicing doesn't really matter in this case, the commenter was saying he sung that high, For example, if a tenor trombone plays a note thats in the soprano range, you could say it played as a soprano

Guys actually have a wider vocal range than females. In my choir, out of 10 guys, 3 can sing soprano well, and sing bass. That guy is definitely at the top and above the treble staff. I consider it soprano.

The falsetto is flawless, the bits of humor- "don't worry, be happy"- priceless.
We have played Canada many times, and I'm sure we'll be back!

these guys are so amazing. i have never heard any guys sing that high. that is pure talent. i love how they sing with no music.

I'm a 1st soprano in choir. Some of these guys can hit notes that take a decent effort for me to hit. Amazing. I want to see them live. :)

Man, that guy has one good falsetto voice. If I sang like that for the duration of this song, my voice wouldn't be right for a week.

Aside from being funny on stage and having fun doing it, SNC is one of, if not THE best acapella group I've ever heard. Amazing voices, excellent coordination, and they are flawlessly on key the entire song.
Man, I'm having flashbacks to high school, when my choir had a competition to see who could hit those notes without sounding horrid. I USED to be able to.

I was talking about a capella in my ap us history class and my teacher was like "YOU HAVE TO GO LOOK THEM UP" and I did, and listening to these videos is how I will spend the rest of my day.
