Something I forgot to mention,
With Luna Translator some games support "Embedded" (mainly visual novels). Next to "Show" in the select text panel turn "Embedded" on, this makes it so text appears in game as the translated text. This can be very helpful in having a smoother experience.

For some reason Luna Translator's hooks have a lot of text that are duplicated japanese characters. I think Textractor does that as well. Do you know the reason and how to fix this?

from experience not every game works with the locale emulator, luckily its not a 100% needed. I would recommend continuing with setting up the software anyways!

@@percy1105 the steps should be the same for all games! (Excluding browser games, which are impossible to use) there shouldn’t be anything different you need to do
In your opinion, which software is better for translating visual novel games? I tested both and don't feel any difference

In general, Luna translator is much less buggy, newer, and has embedded feature which if your game supports it, I’d really recommend using
Textractor I tend to prefer for RPGmaker games, purely because of the scroll feature, and it just feels natural to me
So, I’d say Luna translator? But some people would prefer Textractor. It’s mainly personal preference…
How to add a language that is not in the options, I need Indonesian
Everything worked, but after a while I get error of rate limit exceeded: refuse to make more translation requests

Is it possible to change from English to another language, because I have downloaded the visual novel game English but want to change to another language, how can I do that???
hello! it is possible!!!
for textractor go to the settings tab (1:51) there you can select the language youre translating to and from. input translate from: English and translate to: [your desired laguage]
for luna translator go to settings --> language settings --> set source language to english and set target language to your desired language

I’m not all that familiar with chrome, sorry.. I simply made the theme based off of the game Colorless Kaina using an extension specifically for Firefox. If you want I can upload the theme into Mozilla? But it won’t be compatible with chrome I believe
Can this work in big games like GTA, God of War, etc?
@@InvigorateLive hmm.. I doubt it? I don’t actually play large games so it’s tricky.. this works best with RPGmaker games and Visual novels. I would imagine most text wouldn’t pick up in games like that. If you already have the game downloaded, I’m interested to see how it would react, but I doubt it would be playable.

@@MegaTheman25 I’m assuming you’re using an emulator? I’m not sure! I’ve never tried using them on emulated games before. I honestly don’t have much of a clue.. It wouldn’t hurt to try though and see if it works. If you do try, do tell me what happened because I’m curious myself
even though it works, luna translator gave me a trojan 😭
