One of these days there will be a knock on your door. When you open you will find a nice looking gentleman who, with a heavy Swedish accent and a no nonsense manner will simply say "Give me all of your Volvo tee shirts and caps you Cat driving, Hitachi owning, Yanmar loving, John Deere dating Benedict Arnold. No more cruises to Korea for you."
Our 2017 320 can barely grab a full scoop without bogging down. Cat came out and said there is nothing wrong with it, they did turn it up some but, that didn’t help. I love the volvo’s and deere’s, though the new cat’s are getting pretty nice.
I find it humorous watching y'll using that construction lowboy to haul a Cat 320. When I lived in Seattle I use to haul them from the Port of Seattle back to the yard in Malta with a tandem axle dump truck puling a 25 ton beaver-tail trailer.
Had a trailor like this back in the 60's in the uk , was called a hydro couple , had its own hydraulic feet on the trailor , a nightmare to re align on soft ground !!!! but this one looks like a modern version of a similar piece
I’d be interested to see how all those sensors last burning and clearing on those. We got a 330 and 336 next gen those summer. They have sensors all through the boom and stick for the grade control and scales. The scales are super handy for loading trucks
I got a CAT 309 this past summer that has the "STICK Travel MODE". Hit the button and drive it like a skid steer. Does this have that feature? And if so, do you like it?
How do you like that homin' smoke? Whereever you walk in a circle around a fire, the smoke homes in on you. How do you like the thumb with its double bareled linkage? Seems like it would have more bite over a greater arc.
I wanna see it when it's got 10k hrs. Hope they hold up. I like 320 f best. It seemed stronger. Our new 1 don't even have air ride seat. Just seems cheaper made, still nice tractor, love the screen when I figure itvout. That's a bad ass truck an trlr!!!!
Whoa a CaT?!?! lol...That is a nice truck and lowboy for one thing..and also..looks like Chris has some excavator operator competition!!..lol We know who is the best though. I believe I have built some solar farms down and around that area of NC.
hi mate tell the truck driver I love his hoodie and how did you get on with the pond with all that mud .missed your video yester day did you have a day off lol
I don’t know why, but with the stick stretched out and the bucket the way it was at the fire, it looked like a T-Rex looming over it’s prey. I swear it was smiling like it had conquered something. 😏👌
Treebutcher you do know what those are for right? Who’s there so that we know that they’re backing up. If someone turns their beepers off on their machines they obviously don’t care about us!
Alex Williamson's blind adventures dude, I get it that some people need different sensory alarms. But to assume that Chris doesn’t care about you is pretty reckless. I don’t think he would let blind folks roam about on his job site to get smashed by his 250 because he doesn’t care. It’s more for the video quality.
The movement looks a lot more mechanical than the usual fluid operation of your other machines, particularly the volvo. A case of "new machine who dis?" or is it actually a lot less smooth than your other machines?
Mephiston The new cat excavator controls are electric over hydraulic. It’s suppose to help with operator “fatigue” but the 330 next gen we have at work is very jerky and takes a lot to get use too
That seems to line up with my observations. Seems like itd be a lot less intuitive, too. Like, you couldnt finesse it, kind of like a sports (paddle shift) gearbox in a car compared to a proper manual gearbox
US Volvo Marketing Executive to a gathered meeting of world-wide Volvo leaders: He's our man........Chris is OUR MAN!! He didn't say anything good about the CAT other than it had a lot of buttons. C'mon, Folks, let's not worry. Chris is OUR MAN!!!!! And, six months later, Chris buys a Volvo EC220EL. Ta-Da.......😎😉👍👊
Some serious money there. The features on the next gen machines are out of this world. Like a feature to prevent your boom from going to high or too low. Check out Dirt Ninja's video on the next gen 336 and it in all the next gen Cats.
Another tip 99% of low boy drivers haven't a clue about, that curve in the boom is made for transportation. Roll the bucket out just enough until the teeth are in the curve of the boom and the boom will ride lower.
Come a long way from my day when we either loaded over the back or loaded from the side and twisted this way, then that way, then start over to get that two inches you need to be square on the deck... worst to happen to me was to break a lowboy in half on one side.
@@RiverValleyAcres Got a lot of respect for pipeline workers. I never worked on this one in alaska but when I only had my little excavator and dump truck, I used to load my excavator in the back of my dump truck. It just fit but it did till I got me a tilt trailer
@@RiverValleyAcres Best part of fifty years now with some brief down to states to visit family. Course we are a state too now but I voted territory as a kid twenty
But why a GC version ? The normal version is much more comfortable, and seems much nicer overall, or is this just for digging and the higher price doesnt pay off ?

Steve Hansen I just died laughing at this 😂
You forgot the Takeuchi, Kioti and Fiat-Allis
Too funny!!
@Simon Tarrant I saw that too - either it's a reference to the yellow and that's a bee hive cell? Or whoever designed it was simply NUTS!
Hahahahahaha
This will really get Mr. Anderson going!!
These new front loading lowboy trailers have made loading big heavy equipment so much easier and safer with slick conditions.
That beast has a beautiful thumb.
**volvo has left the chat**
Alex Ossowski mic drop
One sharp looking rig!
That is a NEW trailer,EH? Pretty, pretty pretty!!! Nice load, you ole smoothy
That’s a really nice looking machine. Really like the new Cat equipment
That’ll look real nice after you tint the windows and add your Letsdig18 logo on the side!!
I can see Volvo officials sitting in their office sweating nervously while watching this video
I just took delivery of a new 320 this week. I using it on my farm. I’m going to build a few lake. I absolutely love it. It’s amazing
What a teaser! Chris is just pulling our legs... LOL! He loves his Volvos too much.
This is the best lowboy I've seen in terms of build quality and ease of use.
It's even got a progressive link thumb. I think Jeff might be rubbing off on you Chris!
Sheez, one day with a long arm Cat and look what followed you home. I can't wait to see if it is quiet inside, unlike the 160.
Ricki they’re super quiet in the cab and a ton of cab room.

A shiny new lowboy too.

Cat videos, Jeff is gunn'a have tears in his eyes. Looks real purdy too.

I like this machine better than the Volvo. better looking.
Thanks for showing this. I never knew how these trailers worked until now
It was pretty impressive how the Cat came up the steep lowboy ramp and settled onto the deck ever so nice and gently.
Precision work, picking up a cement block and backing it up. Nicely done boys.
LOL! The smoke just keeps following the camera! Back and forth - Back and forth...only thing missing's the coughing!
Mike .R. I mean I hate it for folks but glad I’m not the only one that smoke follows… I’ll walk all around a fire and it always follows
Old saying around here (southeastern NC) is if the smoke is following you your the man with the money 🤑
Beautiful outfit!
I’m in Alabama. I think I heard that back-up alarm from my house! Love that new machine!
Mobile area here!
i looked at a brand new $79,000 case cx210 full size excavator
@@michaelmactavish1728 $79,000 brand new??? did you forget to type the 2 infront of the 79,000.
Looks like your Christmas presents came one month late LOL! Love the CAT!
Who’s machine??
Pretty much anything that caterpillar makes is outstanding
Too slow for Chris’s liking - hes just keeping volvo on there toes 😉
The GC models have about 30% less horsepower from the engines than the regular models do, normal output Cat machines are NOT slow by any means...
@@GusCowMiller i agree by no means are CATs slow but compared to Volvos CATs are slow
Thank you for filming the next CAT generation! And how is it? Your experience?
Very nice looking equipment!
Looks like some nice equipment
I dont know what it is exactly, but when I see a person is truly skilled at what they do ... well it makes me feel warm fuzzy inside .
Now that is a fancy rig, very nice.
Don’t burn the paint.
Bran-new trailer too, very nice.
That's a whole lot of new iron and plastic 😂. Nice video. Always good to see a sharp looking lowboy
What a Beautiful Escavator, Caterpillar keeps knocking it out of the park.
Devon Gregg yep looks good
I like the new logo look also

Love how your phone buzzed and how you said klang klang
Man, Rampant makes a bad ass trailer....and right down the street too... Damn, you just can't hide money....that's nice stuff right there
Looks like somebody got a new trailer too!
Awesome!! Losing my first one today that arrived from Alaska..
I got a CAT 309 this past summer that has the "STICK Travel MODE". Hit the button and drive it like a skid steer. Does this have that feature? And if so, do you like it?
Nice truck love to see when you haul out the equipment on the lowboy truck
Nice progressive link thumb
We had one identical to that one at the wrecker service I used to work for. I ran it and hauled it abunch. We used it to help clean up wrecks
How do you like that homin' smoke? Whereever you walk in a circle around a fire, the smoke homes in on you.

First order of business: pull the fuse for that damn beeping
For real
Yeah, wouldn't that just drive you crazy,.especially today when they go beep, beep, beep for forward AND reverse!
And.... No more beep beep!😂😂😂
Backup alarms saves lives duh turn your volume down.
it never fails...that smoke always follows you around!

Dayum. Smoked up all the filters.
So what was the story with this machine Chris? Was it another rental or a friend’s or what?
I never got to pull a fancy trailer like that. Ours where manual . And that machine looked super clean n new.🤔😎😎

Wish you were a little farther back from the trailer so we could see how it was loaded and hooked up.
Do you have to pull permits every time on oversized loads there?
there and every state in the U.S. requires an OS/OW permit over 8'6" Most equipment haulers have blanket permits to cover them though.
John Deer says nothing runs like a deer. I say nothing purs like a Cat. God bless
It`s not a cat purring there, it`s a Perkins
That was a sweet trailer 😘
Agree, it's almost nicer than the excavator
I agree.
All bright and shiny!

Is there a skidsteer running in the background? LOL

Only fire!!
im gonna try and pull some strings but i want to get you down to run our 120 foot demo high reach on our 650D or volvo 460 HR
Is that thing a 4 cylinder? Sounds like it...seems kind of a big machine for a 4 banger.
damn you got a new trailer too
That thing is quick, would love to run!
That was my thought too. The Cat seemed fast in every direction.
She’s a looker that’s for sure
Nice trailer!!!

Whose New Machine?
About time you buy an American made machine.
But why a GC version ? The normal version is much more comfortable, and seems much nicer overall, or is this just for digging and the higher price doesnt pay off ?
Nice....greetings from indonesia👍👍👍
Boom up and down makes a strange hiss sound. Do you know what’s the cause
Restrictor valves on the cylinders maybe to prevent cavitation causing flopping cylinders.
Looks so fun
