The Newborn was a weird exception. In short, Ripley clone with Alien DNA (Ripley 08) mated with a genetically modified queen that had human reproductive organs (thanks Yutani), and the resulting lovechild was the Newborn, a lifeform with a 50/50(ish) DNA spread between Human and Alien. If you're more interested in this, I think Alien Theory has a video on the Newborn on this channel.
Would love to see you do a vid on the process of cocooning. I feel that it's seen a lot in the Alien franchise but never really explored that much (at least not in the movies). Thanks again for another wonderful watch :)
In AVP 2010, on the Jungle mission during the Marine campaign the xenomorphs will swim in the giant pools off water in the swamp area. It is honestly so terrifying seeing the slither in the water, but makes for quick easy kills
That's so cool, we just watched AvP last night and my brother and I were talking about whether or not the queen could survive under water at the end, and that led into a conversation about a breed of underwater xenomorphs, face huggers latching onto fish as they swim by. Now thanks to you I know it has been done!
Very nice as always. May I humbly request a video about the alien hives themselves? What are they made of? How long does it take? What are the roles of every type of alien?
Félix Meffre One thing I'd like to see, while this may not be Alien related, is the soundtracks that he uses for these videos because they're awesome as hell
Can you do a video about how exactly Weyland-Yutani genetically modifies an alien xenomorph? Do the manipulate the egg, the facehugger , the drone or the queen and how do they get around the whole acid blood feature that every life cycle has. Also, how long is the life span of the various variants of the xenomorph from drone to queen mother
dragonweyr44 It should be obvious. the only way WY can manipulate the Aliens fna, is by picking the hosts race involved in its creation, and stored biological materials from other aliens, as well as nanities hiding in leprosy cells.
+NOSTROMO- 180286 But the facehuggers have acid blood as well, In fact, it's been shown that, according to the alien vs. predators movie, the only thing that acid blood doesn't dissolve, is alien shell/carapace itself
See, this kind of thing expands the Alien lore and enhances the universe. Since xenomorphs take on characteristics of their host, it makes sense that there would be an aquatic variant (or multiple variants).
In one of the canceled scripts to Alien 3 (with prison escape and alien experiments) its was mentioned how one one the aliens was able to swim and attack running inmates from water, besides it had ability to hide underwater for long period of time and jump out.
I have these comics, one of the first series I ever collected. I always figured they were from some kind of prawn or shrimp-like creature, though presumably it would have to have been larger than any terrestrial species.
I bought that issue of the comic when it came out and still have it. It's awesome for someone to talk about one of my favorite comics that I still have in my collection
Man...I've been planning on making some Warhammer 40K Tyranids and this just gave me the best idea for a paint scheme and overall theme. Kudos and thanks!
I've really been enjoying these videos ever since stumbling upon your channel recently. The quality and style is great. I'd love to see a video where you talk about any of your own personal theories/predictions for the unknown parts of the alien storyline and universe in general. Keep it up!
Thank you Mikester...I'd definitely be interested in doing stuff like that and I have a few ideas I've been playing with. Maybe also some "what if" theories as well...who knows what the future will hold.
Also something has been puzzling me... What EXACTLY was the weapon of mass destruction the Engineers were making to erase humans? Was it the black goo? Was it the actual aliens (Xenomorphs or otherwise)? Or were these just accidental by-products of the actual weapon that backfired? I know that in Prometheus they had large quantities of the canisters filled with the black substance but did they just seek to poison humanity? Or were they intending on spawning the aliens? If they wanted aliens, what would they do to destroy them after they had dealt with humans? Sorry for the array of questions! Thanks though
New to the channel but totally hooked! Might be late to the party but I would really like to see a short on the vehicle and plane from Aliens. Always thought those Marine transports were wicked. Your channel rovks!
One of my favorite toys as a kid was the aquatic alien. I always thought the alien morphology somehow figured out the surrounding environment and adapted to it.
If it was a Blue whale that was facehugged? Then I would beleive it would of been gentically made since a Facehugger doesn't have the size or strength to impregnate it. UNLESS the said Whale was capturedand had its mouth forced opened but then I realised would it still be able to impregnate it without latching itself on the whale?
It could've latched itself onto the whale's blowhole and impregnated it that way and yes I know what you are thinking "blocking the blowhole would kill the whale" normally yes but facehuggers have been shown to breath for their victims so the facehugger would likely be pumping air into the whale, now if that's not the case then maybe the new airborne Xenomorph spores from Covenant infect the way
pretty cool. I remember reading a novel when I was in my teens about two alien hives competing against each other, different coloured exoskeletons. I think it was alien nightmare asylum. Some videos about the novels would certainly be cool.
It's possible the swimmer alien evolved from normal aliens that emerged from normal human hosts. The water environment they inhabited probably caused them to evolve into more aquatic based aliens.
Rads I forget if they strictly adapt based on dna or also environmental factors. I always thought it was DNA. Environment based transformation is very much like Resident Evil 5. Where they transform into a human/creature hybrid that is best suited for the immediate environment they were infected.
Something I've always wondered is: What are the dorsal tubes on an alien's back, & what function do they serve? Are they essentially the alien's nose? Are they general sensory structures, much like a shark's lateral line? Thoughts?
I'd like to see a vid about how the space explorers get around the universe - from how the ships travel those distances to cryosleep to how they navigate. Any tech geek type stuff like that
This has made me wonder, is there un upper limit of the size of a host? And would that effect the size of the xenomorph birthed from such a host? On a similar note, can a large enough creature host multiple chest bursters?
I recently bought the box set of all 4 Alien movies on Bluray, here's what I thought: Alien: masterpiece and almost like watching a newly filmed movie, most scenes were pin sharp and so much more to the movie than when I watched it on DVD.. Aliens: didn't make much difference, looked like a uprated DVD at most , several scenes were digitally noisy and many were out of focus Alien 3: didn't make much difference, looked like a uprated DVD at most , several scenes were digitally noisy and many were out of focus, Alien CGI was piss poor but then we knew that even when watched on DVD, audio was terrible but again we knew that from the DVD. Alien resurrection: didn't make much difference, looked like a uprated DVD at most , several scenes were digitally noisy and many were out of focus. If only Ridley Scott had filmed all 4 movies eh?
ArcturanMegadonkey most of you're points are just the same when in reality aliens was probs more a masterpiece than alien but I mean can't blame 3 for cgi its 25 years old
I'd love to see these sea monsters in a alien game perhaps a part where you have to journey though water sections with small islands that you can fight back on
I believe they were probably generically modified xenomorphs from the lab. Why I think so because in Alien: Resurrection was in when the swimmer xenomorphs made its first appearance in the movie and it was at a testing facility where they tested and bred xenomorphs.
You should do a video on what happens to Ripley 8 after Alien Resurrection. One of the newer Novels talks about the aftermath with Weyland Yutani, but not her. Or do a video on that.
Hell yes, that would make an awesome movie! i'd curious to know if what a swimmer alien queen would look like? surely there would have been one for so many to be around and attacking those marines?
Could you do a video on what type of environment the Xenomorph can survive in? Meaning we see they can survive in the vacuum of space, water, and to be honest pretty much anything I have ever seen. If so is there any publication that has shown how long they can survive in the vacuum of space, or even how long they can hibernate in any environment.
For some reason I always thought it had spawned from a facehugger attaching to a dolphin at some point not shown in the film. I guess just because their movements underwater remind me a bit of how dolphins move
Large tail with good maneuvering, small set of what appears to be 6 legs, two large upper arms, has echo location abilities, and has a surprising jump/thrust ability to launch itself from water. Sounds like some type of alien crayfish similar to the Tasmanian Giant Freshwater Crayfish, which being omnivores would eat the kelp also. Just a thought.
There's one type of video I'd like to see: that being one about the Cloned Xenomorphs. As with the movie that they were featured in, they're not as well loved. I feel someone should shed some light on these unique breed of Xenomorphs.
I still have the Alien Resurrection Swimmer Alien or Aqua Alien in mint condition... I remember thinking obviously that they weren't in the movie but I did remember it from the comics. The toy looking quite different from the comic version, almost like a Facehugger attached itself to a shark.
You know, I've always wondered about those little hand held proximity radars that can see enemy through walls and count in meters instead of feet or yards :) :)
Wow those things look particularly menacing... Maybe because I'd feel more helpless underwater... Have you considered making a video about the different depictions of the Space Jockey? Prometheus is canon but I'm sure there have been many alternate stories describing them and their backstory
+thefeelbot I have definitely considered covering the jockeys and it's one of the biggest requests, but as you mentioned there are different depictions so the difficult part for me is how to present it, as in, do I try to connect them, or make separate videos and explain that they're different, etc. I want to make sure I do the best job possible on the topic and I think in the long run it will need to be several different videos since there's a lot to cover.
Since Alien 3's Runner, it makes more sense to me that the Xenomorph takes on the shape and attributes of the host. The only believable gene splicing case is the Mantis.
I think it was just a facehugger that attached to a sea creature, the xenomorphs adapt to the biology of their host, if they were an underwater species it stands to reason it would become primarily an underwater species
Have you thought about doing a episode on the out off the shadows book ? Set between alien and aliens with ripley being rescued long before she was found by the deep space salvage team
The idea that there could be Xenomorphic creatures under the waves just makes me more nervous about water areas >< however it would make for an interesting scenario in a game like Isolation. There was never really a "hydroponics" type area in the game despite the almost commonality of the idea in futuristic space stories.
I think this xenomorph was part lobster or some other crustacean. Their tail looks very similar to that of a lobster and it would explain their multiple legs.
I kinda see the xenos as tyranids; they adapt, given enough time, if the environment they're in requires it. That said (since I'm binge-watching atm) I believe the Queen is the pinnacle, and its size, strength and intellect/cunning and ability to lead, are the biggest adaptive advantages it has, so there is no real need for a Queen to dramatically change its form.
Unless the face huggers are adept seimmers or capable of molting into a varient capable of swimming these Xenomorphs are most likely genetically altered. That, or the creature the face huggers latched on were also land dwellers, which would explain why this alien is equip to maneuver outside the water. Since normal Xenomorphs can swim it's also a possibility that one landed here, captured some aquatic hosts, then morphed into a queen. The newer aquqtic aliens would then begin dragging more aquatic hosts to the queen.
that high screech could mean echolocation.
Good point! I hadn't thought of that.
Alien Theory thanks🙄
Alien Theory WHAT GENDER IS ALL XENOMOTPHS? DOES THE QUEEN XENOMORPH MATE OR SELF REPRODUCE.
Normaly self, but in Aliens... 3 or 4 with the Newborn, it got impregnated by a praetorian, I guess.
Man, you saved my day. My alarm didn't work and your notification woke me up. Thanks a lot! Gonna watch this video on lunch
lol! Glad I could help.
Yedige Moldagaliyev what were the chance of that happening. How? 😃
Yedige Moldagaliyev you're gonna have a good lunch by watching the video.
A facehugger jumped on Dr.zoidberg.
Creating a Lobster alien
Not if he eats it first lol
Would love to see you do a vid on the process of cocooning. I feel that it's seen a lot in the Alien franchise but never really explored that much (at least not in the movies). Thanks again for another wonderful watch :)
I agree with this gentleman
Yes, I second this.
Great idea. Cocooning and 'enabling' as Ripley's calls it in the second film.
Cydon777 do it alien theory, please :)
Good idea.
YOU DESERVE MORE SUBSCRIBERS I still can't believe you only *just* started this channel, it's the beeeeest and I love every video!
Thanks so much! I already have more subscribers than I could have possibly dreamed, anything more is just gravy at this point.
In AVP 2010, on the Jungle mission during the Marine campaign the xenomorphs will swim in the giant pools off water in the swamp area. It is honestly so terrifying seeing the slither in the water, but makes for quick easy kills

I think a variant like this could make a terrifying sequence in a movie/game.
Could you do a vid on the Tarkatan Alien from Mortal Kombat X?
Shout out to Alien Theory for getting me into all the alien comics much love lad great content keep it up!
+TheActiveTempest that's great to hear, I'm glad you're getting into the comics and thank you for your support!
Youve made my day
Very nice as always. May I humbly request a video about the alien hives themselves? What are they made of? How long does it take? What are the roles of every type of alien?
Yes, I would like to see them again. please !
Interesting. But where do we learn this? Is it from the expanded universe?
Félix Meffre One thing I'd like to see, while this may not be Alien related, is the soundtracks that he uses for these videos because they're awesome as hell
I would like to see how Xeno's are able to survive the vacuum of space and well as able to breath in space.
Well according to alien isolation, they do pretty well
@@djbutipower true, and in the original 1979 film, the Xeno survives at least for a decent amount of time in space.
Very interesting xeno type but I wonder what a queen version would look like
Its still look like Queen. But her body resembles a lungfish & mermaid.
Your channel rocks! ✊️
Can you do a video about how exactly Weyland-Yutani genetically modifies an alien xenomorph? Do the manipulate the egg, the facehugger , the drone or the queen and how do they get around the whole acid blood feature that every life cycle has. dragonweyr44 It should be obvious. the only way WY can manipulate the Aliens fna, is by picking the hosts race involved in its creation, and stored biological materials from other aliens, as well as nanities hiding in leprosy cells.
Yeah, but acquiring the DNA itself seems, pretty much, impossible to me because of the whole acid blood thing.
dragonweyr44 unless they acqurie the Xenomorph DNA when the facehugger is attach to the host?
+NOSTROMO- 180286 But the facehuggers have acid blood as well, In fact, it's been shown that, according to the alien vs. predators movie, the only thing that acid blood doesn't dissolve, is alien shell/carapace itself
that was one of the best scenes in alien reserection when you see them swimming after the crew . great video sir thumbs up.
See, this kind of thing expands the Alien lore and enhances the universe. Since xenomorphs take on characteristics of their host, it makes sense that there would be an aquatic variant (or multiple variants).
I love this channel I might not be all that old but I love the alien franchise and glad to see a channel talking about it
Well....those are terrifying as hell. Great video once again!
In one of the canceled scripts to Alien 3 (with prison escape and alien experiments) its was mentioned how one one the aliens was able to swim and attack running inmates from water, besides it had ability to hide underwater for long period of time and jump out.
The host of the aliens might be shrimp/prawn creatures
I have these comics, one of the first series I ever collected. I always figured they were from some kind of prawn or shrimp-like creature, though presumably it would have to have been larger than any terrestrial species.
Cao Len I say the Swimmers more of a genetic experiment released and gone wrong
@@danevans6340 , it could be. This what it looks like, when Facehugger impregnated fish.
I love this channel. Frequent updates, good content. Very much appreciated.
I bought that issue of the comic when it came out and still have it. It's awesome for someone to talk about one of my favorite comics that I still have in my collection
Imagine a xeno facehugger mixing with a great white shark...the resulting shark/Xenomorph would be very unsettling i suspect.
I totally want to see more about this version of the xenomorphs they're badasses
Definitely bring this xenomorph to a movie.
These Xenos are so cool!
Yes it so cool when they tear your face off. :D
Man...I've been planning on making some Warhammer 40K Tyranids and this just gave me the best idea for a paint scheme and overall theme. Kudos and thanks!

Or perhaps the face hugger attached itself to the whale or dolphins blowhole atop its head?
harveybirdman74 Aye, that makes sence.
harveybirdman74 that's only for breathing meaning the creature would likely die meaning the chest burster may not get the nutrients it needs
It could've latched itself onto the whale's blowhole and impregnated it that way and yes I know what you are thinking "blocking the blowhole would kill the whale" normally yes but facehuggers have been shown to breath for their victims so the facehugger would likely be pumping air into the whale, now if that's not the case then maybe the new airborne Xenomorph spores from Covenant infect the way
Chestburster is take any shaped of its host. This is why, Runner Xenomorph didn't have any long backpack.
pretty cool. I remember reading a novel when I was in my teens about two alien hives competing against each other, different coloured exoskeletons. I think it was alien nightmare asylum. Some videos about the novels would certainly be cool.
Aliens Genocide. Its one of the best original comic series made.
What if a face hugger latched itself onto a xenomorph?
PCveteran117 a King Xenomorph
PCveteran117 king me
That would lead to a hpromoneX
It wouldn't, also the xenomorphs inner jaw would most likely be able to kill it
PCveteran117 wouldn't it just be a pure xenomorph, like on the hive world?
Swimmer aliens are really cool

A NECA Swimmer Alien would be sweet.

You should delve into the aspects of earth in 2180, Weyland-Yutani's established colonies, and the other alliances.
Something I've always wondered is: What are the dorsal tubes on an alien's back, & what function do they serve? Are they essentially the alien's nose? Are they general sensory structures, much like a shark's lateral line? Thoughts?
Love the vid, and happy Valentine's Day Derek!
Thanks Brady, happy valentines to you too!
Anytime and thanks for replying.
If this kind was seriously put in an actual Alien franchise movie, it would be so badass.
I think it's the result of an aquatic creature being facehugged.
Jared Eddy I believe it's the result of genetic experimentation
based on its tail and limbs, maybe a gigantic lobster? Or a mirelurk....lel
Fucking mirelurks, shotgun to the face!
Keep up the great work
hmmm I'm kinda interested to see more of this
I remember this comic! I had in back in the days..need to dig it up
I'd like to see a vid about how the space explorers get around the universe - from how the ships travel those distances to cryosleep to how they navigate. Any tech geek type stuff like that
Alien Theroy: Can you do an explained video on, the Scorpion Alien ?
I'd like to at some point. I had the figure as a kid and it was my second favorite (next to the Gorilla Alien)
+Alien Theory same! Gorrilla was my favorite along with the scorpian and bull!
This has made me wonder, is there un upper limit of the size of a host? And would that effect the size of the xenomorph birthed from such a host? On a similar note, can a large enough creature host multiple chest bursters?
my favorite channel at least one of them

In alien 3 that's not cgi it's a puppet the only cgi used for the alien was its death scene and its birth scene in the assembly cut
ArcturanMegadonkey lol claiming cgi was bad when there wasn't any
Another great video.
Your videos are amazing
I'd like to see more water xenos
This was a great story. I had a few issues but the stories weren't complete. Still would make for a better movie than Alien Resurrection.
I'd love to see these sea monsters in a alien game perhaps a part where you have to journey though water sections with small islands that you can fight back on
Great video
Expected the aquatic alien but nice never heard about these guys that would maybe be a topic for another episode
i have always wounder about the aliens vs predator vs the Terminator story look at, and would love it see it in a game or movie
Id like to hear more of your predictions for alien covenant.
I believe they were probably generically modified xenomorphs from the lab. Why I think so because in Alien: Resurrection was in when the swimmer xenomorphs made its first appearance in the movie and it was at a testing facility where they tested and bred xenomorphs.
Love you vids man, was wondering if you could do one explaining how the transaxle was blown and the transmitter was wasted on the APC in Aliens.
You should do a video on what happens to Ripley 8 after Alien Resurrection. One of the newer Novels talks about the aftermath with Weyland Yutani, but not her. Or do a video on that.
I think it would be difficult but I would love to see a video on the Ravager alien
Awesome ! Great job ...
this is awesome. anychance youd do the full story readout like for dr church?
Aqua xenomorphs are so cool😃😃😃😎😎!!!

do a speculation video on a Xenomorph Empress

You know, I've always wondered about those little hand held proximity radars that can see enemy through walls and count in meters instead of feet or yards :) :)
Please do a video on all the android types. E.g Weyland, Seegson. PLEAAASSSE?
Hey can we do more colonial marine corps weaponry? The Smart gun would be nice. Keep up the good work.
I'm already afraid of the aliens on land, I really don't wanna crap my pants whenever I go for a swim!
They're gonna need a bigger boat.
I remember this comic. I used to have it
It was interesting
Wow those things look particularly menacing... Maybe because I'd feel more helpless underwater...
