    Nice, great to hear compiled updates like these!
    But since we're on the subject, weren't there tests and trials on drugs that helped stopping the cytokine storm?
    Here where I live I heard about them in the news for some weeks, months ago, and then nothing.

      You're remembering correctly, and those trials are still ongoing.

    Insightful. Let's hope the vaccine gets a annual update like other vaccines and meanwhile we can globally improve our healthy habits. Never too late to keep saying to wash your hands and use a mask until we get this virus under control.

    We have also learned that there is a linear relationship of covid severity and vitamin D blood levels. High Vitamin D correlates to mild symptoms and low vitamin D to severe symptoms. Zinc and Vitamin C also help. It is cheap insurance. We also have learned that Ivermectin works as a treatment. Also, regarding the Lancet article that claimed that hydroxychloroquine was toxic and did not help, we have learned that the article was bogus; The Lancet pulled the article.

    Imagine wearing a mask

    How can you say "We didn't know a mask protects the wearer"? It's a physical barrier, not a one way valve. Even toddlers understand that a wall is still a wall on the other side.

    • @ACSReactions
      @ACSReactions  3 роки тому +7

      haha, we agree that it seems obvious in retrospect, but a year ago researchers had very little data to work with. Pretty early on in the pandemic there was data showing that an infected person wearing a cloth mask would be less likely to spread the virus to other people, but it took a few months to get data showing that a non-infected person wearing a cloth mask would be less likely to contract COVID-19. Think of it like point source pollution: put a scrubber on a smokestack and you can keep the air clean, but once the smoke is out there, it’s much harder to keep that pollution out of your lungs. Now there are plenty of studies showing that cloth masks are protective--even more protective that we imagined!--to both the wearer and the people around them.
