Just remember that the patriarchy benefits greatly from women ignoring/doubting their inner wisdom and intuition. You're not insane at all, actually quite wise & ahead of the game. I wish I had learned this in my early 20's 💜

intuition or gut feeling is nothing but a product of cognitive conditioning. It'll be easier to believe a person to have inner wisdom followed by reasoning and experience than someone who has "gut feeling" of a thing due to arbitrary means.
I have had female friends who couldn't stop making assumptions of people simply because they trusted their insticsts too much and that left them with unsatisfactory resolve. That in my opinion is a dangerous thing to have.
What I understood eventually is that it's a good practise to condition one's instincts so that we can trust them but reasoning and intellect should guide understanding of situation and people.

So it’s clear, the patriarchy affects men in this very same way. There are very few men who benefit from the patriarchy. The rest are hindered by it.

You bring me so much clarity and peace. Don't ever think you are insane or that nobody gives a fuck, I know I do, I care, also these podcasts not only do they help you put ur thoughts together and understand yourself better, they also help ppl listening do the same thing. I don’t think you really understand how impactful you are to others, this came at the craziest time in my life when I am currently realizing how much I was ignoring my intuition. You have helped me more than my own therapist and closest friends. You say everything I try to write down and self reflect about. I feel like we would be good friends. I hope one day I could tell you thank you.

Literally having all of the built up stagnant energy that was fueling negative self talk just pulled right out of you. I'm a Middle Eastern girl who grew up in a religious household. Therefore, as a woman, the women in my family have always shown me that in Islam, women are thought of highly. They have power men can never have, they give birth, and they have an intuition that gives them knowledge and power. Essentially, in the modern world, much of this inherent power and consciousness is seen as nonsense or insanity. I can't confirm or disagree with what I have been told because it was built in me since I was a child to trust my womanly gut and embrace the power I've been given by God. Even though today I'm not a Muslim, I still believe that as women we hold so much power that we don't realize. I also believe in a way we're always dismissed and belittled because men realized before us how much power we hold.

fearing your intuition is simply just fearing your power. your light. trust me when I say following your intuition solely will Always make your life easier and you will feel such an innate sense of trust and unshakeable stability. and the more you follow those little intuitive nudges, the more it will grow and it will in turn make you have more self respect because you will no longer tolerate situations that do not serve your highest good. and you will learn that the part of you that fears the concept of only doing things that are good for you is a part of yourself that is unhealed, hurting and wants to keep you in the loop of fear. you will also learn to love this part of yourself and nurture and be grateful for it because it forces you to keep being self aware and choose better for yourself. all parts of our psyche serve a purpose, its all a teacher and the lesson is to never belittle yourself and honor yourself. you reading this book and having all these epiphanies is a clear sign to me that your intuition is calling you to a new level of being. when you trust your intuition, its like you remove obstacles and the obstacles that do present themselves are easier to deal with because you have this inner trust that you will know how to navigate it. your life is about to soar into a new level of ease and happiness and inner power Madeline ily

The most successful basketball coach (John Wooden, UCLA) in NCAA history also taught college English class and thought of himself more as a teacher than a coach. He also developed his “Pyramid of Success” and taught it to his players. It was a framework for life and not just for the sport because learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings. :)

i’ve never thought how intuition is passed down, that it’s not a feeling i’ve just learned. i think hearing that gave me a sense of pride, but i’m already very prideful on my intuition. and you’re right it’s to the bone. it’s down to the steps i make and the way i turn my head. and despite my deep pride of my intuition and my knowing and seeing of energy that can lead to hurt, just like you i still don’t follow it and give excuses against my intuition to not be lonely to have friends. but at the end of the day i will always feel weird with that friend my intuition tells me not to be with. and it’s better to walk on your own a bit then to walk into discomfort or pain. and all i can do is trust that the right people will see me and i’ll see them and it’ll just fit

Before my last relationship ended in catastrophe, I knew what was happening. I knew he had been cheating, and I confronted him over and over, and each time he made me feel crazy. And then I found out that everything I thought was true, was true. To have someone who makes you doubt yourself, your intuition, your ancestors, is a form of emotional abuse. And after that I realized that some men can see our power, and want to diminish it, and make us doubt ourselves. Real men, the men you want in your life, will encourage your intuition and contribute to your personal discoveries. I will never doubt my gut again. You’re lovely, and I appreciated thinking on this today ❤️

I hesitate so strongly with trusting my gut and the bit about not having a lock on your door felt like something my higher power needed me to hear. You are not crazy. Love you. I don't stop in often but when I read the title I decided to because I've been contemplating what it takes to do well in the games I play and intuition certainly plays a large role, especially having played some of these games for many years now. Of course unfortunately I was seeking something actionable and found it comedic when you made it clear you were only sort of reflecting but you should know I still found this helpful. Thank you for what you do. Even as a man I feel you btw. I resonate with the feelings of discomfort you express. I think they're related to something else I've been contemplating; something very sinister: the sense of futility. I believe belief in futility has dragged humanity and the world into the state it's in today and by that I mean it has informed most of all bad choices. I believe belief in futility causes depression - I believe it caused my own. Belief in futility causes futility because acting in accordance with a belief in futility makes futility inevitable. If you don't believe in a richer, better future you will generate a poorer, worse one. All things matter. Something is never nothing. I believe belief in futility is ignorance. Please don't believe in futility if you sense it. It is wrong.

You're extremely intelligent just an fyi. I WISH people had conversations like this irl. I'm 15 years old and live in a small conservative town in America. I feel like I have no choice but to isolate myself because people over here (especially people my age) are actually rabid. I even went as far as to pull myself out of school and start homeschooling. My parents didn't mind because our local high school gets school shooting threats on a pretty regular basis. So with that being said, I appreciate you making these videos. I can tell you keep it real and I respect that. Because I'm alone all the time, I read A LOT. So I thank you for the book recommendation and also thank for giving me the pleasure of listening to a rational person speak. Take care and god bless.

I love that book - it saved my life back in 2014. I still need to keep going back to it. I am so thrilled - and not one bit surprised - you are so into it too. It actually gives you the step-y-step instructions or techniques about how to safeguard yourself as a woman instead of a load of psychobabble. I related to it because the story of Vasalisa is LITERALLY my real one (apart from the skull!)

Madz, I cannot explain to you how much I relate to everything you just said. Or at least I did at some point. Because I no longer doubt my intuition. When something or someone doesn't feel right, I make sure to act on it if necessary. I always share my thoughts with my people if I feel that someone they've met didn't pass my vibe check. And I almost always know right away. I've been able to do this ever since I started prioritising my self-esteem and confidence. I did it to a point that borderlines on narcissism, but I do believe that in some cases, it is necessary to get to that point. It is also true that this isolates you quite a bit. A lot of people don't like it or they don't understand it. But why would you want to be around those people anyway. When you get to a point where you love, appreciate, and understand yourself enough, that little detail stops bothering you. Because you're content with your own company and that of the people who truly love and support you. That's not saying that you should cut everyone out of your life, but maybe keep them at arm's length. And be very cautious of what you say or do around them. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. It is so nice to listen to someone that I relate to so much. So again, thank you. You have no idea how much we appreciate it🩷

it's actually insane that we started reading this book around the same time. I had to take a break from it because I needed more time to digest the content, but i'll take this video as a sign to pick it up again. it truly is such a valuable mentor. when you finish it, I recommend you start The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron, it's basically a guide on how to cultivate the gift of creation which lies within us all and it takes you on a wild and exciting spiritual path. it became my bible when it comes to self development. and please stop doubting yourself, your stories and lessons happen exactly the way they should and they always come at the perfect time for us to receive them. at least that's how it's been for me ever since i discovered your channel last year. i'm super grateful you decided to yap into a mic and post it on the internet

do you think that these two books kind of highlight the importance of our ovaries too much? as if it’s a completely defining point, and bringing us back full circle to just being vessels for child birth. The concept is just making me uneasy and I feel like it’s hinted at in both books mentioned

@@Kailyn-j1z I mean in a way yeah, I get ur point, they definitely highlight women's ability to give birth but only to emphasize our innate creative power. like we are born with this gift, this thing that only us women can do. of course all ppl can create in general but both authors emphasize that women are just naturally more creative, artistic, intuitive, more emotion-based(for a lack of a better term), like we just feel things deeper. if we allow ourselves (and practice) we can tap into this inner knowing in our bodies(feeling) rather than in our minds(thinking).

Edit: Intuition is absolutely a gift and it is such a gift to be in tune with! 🎉❤ I love this because I’ve also ignored my intuition as well but at some point I realize it isn’t worth it because I went on so many unneeded detours versus just being where you are truly meant to be.
