Diddy played them all..he just used Danity Kane, just like DaBand to get money from MTV, money from their albums sales and when MTV contract was ending, he had to figure out a way to dismantle the group because he wasn't going to invest in them himself...He used them to just get the money from the show, their album sales and the tours/merchandising...He took some of that money and reinvested it into his group with Dawn Dirty Money, and since that didn't do so well, he kicked Dawn to the curb..pimp game 101
Dirty Money actually did well; record companies usually have artists signed a 2 album deal; after that they will get rid of u or keep going investing in the artist. Diddy usually has 2 record deals and gets rid of his artist, if they are too bad, only 1 album is released; dont forget he did Making His Band
@@GenX7119 Danity Kane was number 1 with both albums...so getting rid of them didn't make sense unless his contract with MTV was ending..He only dealt with them because of the show..
@@GenX7119 Dawn actually revealed that the reason dirty money broke up was because the album didn’t do well. How Diddy was disappointed and told them he was breaking up the group via email
Eh, you're guessing. They were a successful group, as far as I could tell. Successful groups make money. I would think that he had to have a good reason to give them the boot.
He says emotions will have you broke but he fired D Woods out of emotion. I'm glad she stook to her guns. Once you're gone, you're gone so she was out.
Exactly there was literally no reason in that meeting for the group to break up, he just created a reason. Heartbreaking to witness. Wishing all the girls compensation, success & healing & love ❤️🙏💯
They weren’t getting paid after selling millions of album and going on a sold out tour. But he gaslit them and made it about interpersonal drama when the issue was they were getting exploited by everyone including MTV
Yes, the most interesting part of this was seeing the process of artist development and how many people it takes. How many decisions, time, energy, money, emotions it all takes.
Aubrey said Dawn always had beef with D.Woods…D.woods didn’t trust Dawn - rightfully so because whoever made a Blog targeting D.woods knowing it came from one of the Group members laptops - I would be distant as well.
diddy was just all over the place with Danity Kane towards their end. I feel like he lost control. i loved danity Kane. Whoever uploaded these vids thank you!
D woods said “I’m glad he believed in you and chose to move forward with you” ..he was done with danity Kane and was getting ready for diddy dirty money. Chile
Because Dawn lost EVERYTHING in Hurricane Catrina so she had nothing to go back home to everyone else did a she was in a bad record deal puff paid to get her out.
What were some of yall watching? The only person he let go was Aubrey. D woods chose to leave. Aubrey was out of pocket. He don’t have to explain how he moves on his label with an artist. Once he said he was doing some stuff for HIS album, she should have shut the hell up.
Because he didn’t want her to tarnish her image and look at her now unrecognizable 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 he was keeping it real trying to encourage her to be a bit more natural she was never ugly
Diddy was wrong in this situation and not for what you think. Diddy made Aubrey into what she was by branding her the leader of the group, also the white girl with flavor. Because of that Aubrey started smelling herself and started speaking to Puff(her boss) crazy. Also Dwoods wasn’t fired, Diddy said let me backup so you don’t catch Aubreys reality.
Omg. I remember how amazing it was to see Que and Dawn develop their relationship. I loved their date and then seeing them perform sucka for love. The nostalgia.
1:50:33 Puff played foul being divisive within the group and capitalising on their disagreement which could have been resolved if he played his part in the situation properly. But he didn’t want to because he was losing his control over the group - they were a unified front against him and his manipulation. He knew he shouldn’t have done what he did with Dawn but wanted to cause division and jealousy because he wanted to the dismantle the group. So he knew as the manager of the group that he shouldn’t have singled out and favoured Dawn over the other girls and doing side projects with her behind the girls’ back, and not communicating to the rest of the group what he was doing. He singled out Dawn who he knew was the weaker link because she wanted this more than anything, and he played her by promising her a career behind the girl’s back, and she took the bait. He didn’t like D. Woods’ response of being like “Ok, I respect your decision.”, and he started flapping and back-tracking. 😅 Aubrey did well to speak up for herself and the group. 1:59:21 He told on himself…he definitely was trying to divide and conquer them and exploited the weaker link (Dawn more so) in the situation, and definitely had a problem with Aubrey first, then D. Woods. He tried to poison the minds of the three that went into his office against their other two bands members who said their goodbyes and left after their talk with Puff… 2:09:39 Puff’s whole mission to come on here was to save face - think damage control. He talks about being real but couldn’t handle the real coming from Aubrey. He was gunning for her because she was the one who caused the group to see through Puff’s bull and stand against it - he didn’t want that because then he couldn’t keep the control over them that he wanted. He wanted to break Aubrey’s spirit to stand up for herself and the girls and it didn’t work, nor to D. Woods, but the other girls he was able to. 2:12:35 Listen to him all stammering and stuttering to a female! He’s a joker and hasn’t kept it real a day in his life - he’s just wicked and speaks from that evil point of view: “It’s gonna be dark and lonely for you.”…he wanted to make it dark and lonely for Aubrey so that she would get in line. SMH! 2:17:05 A bit late for Puff to be saying the group needs a mediator and he needs to be it when he should have been that from the beginning that none of this had to happen the way it did. BUT AGAIN, he was using manipulative tactics to divide and conquer and have them all running back because he holds the key to the dreams they want. Also, I don’t believe any of the girls hated Dawn as she thought, but most of them knew she was too involved with their abuser to sty in contact with her, which is wise and is right to do in that situation. Puff’s koolaid effect on Dawn worked - Puff wanted her to believe the other girls hated her so that he could have her to himself to use as she was vulnerable to be used by him at the time. 2:22:39 I think where Aundrea was broken, she tried to convince herself that the one who manipulated her, Puff, was doing the right thing and it was inevitable - when it wasn’t. But one, she wants to be back in the group so much, and two, she’s on Puff’s show and label so it’s unlikely she’s gonna say something to rock the boat. This hasn’t aged well for him with all the rest of the stuff he’s been doing. I believe it’s God’s will that they’re not together as a group as they didn’t represent what is right and pleasing to God. However, I pray that God heals them and opens all the girl’s eyes (because some are fully aware, and some them maybe are and are in denial, or know and don’t know what to do about/how to proceed with it) to the truth that Puff abused them, and tore them apart, and that he broke up their friendship and sisterhood. So I also pray that God restores their friendship, and gives them all wisdom and proper legal representation to come against Puff and any companies and individuals connected to him which were part of the abuse and breaking of these girls…in JESUS’ NAME. 🔥🙏🏽🔥
2:31:54 Oh Lord! There’s more that can be said for how he’s trying to put it all on Aundrea and Dawn and pressuring them to do the running around for him when he’s the reason for the split of DK and should have done the running around to apologise and get the girls back together. Foul how he played Aundrea like that. Bringing her back in just to tell her that he didn’t want her in a group anyway and letting her go. And Dawn…what a shame she continued on in a contract with Puff after all of it. But that didn’t last anyway, so what was it all worth for her? Puff chewed her up and spat her out.
Thank you! Cause Aubrey’s fans don’t want to tell the truth. She’s a talented girl and she was beautiful at one point but she was the initial crack in the foundation of Danity Kane that gave Diddy room to cause division and do further damage.
I don’t care what no one says I feel like Dom betrayed the group. Aubrey was the only one strong enough to stand up for them because she was talking about the real problem management, and how they were being treated and I’m sure financially, but all the other girls were too caught up on who like each other and who did it you don’t have to always get along, but as far as having the right management, and being paid what they deserve and treated right that should’ve been given
Love me some DK - all of them. I still feel like Dawn was wrong for not communicating her back-door deals. Not cool. But ultimately, Diddy’s ego resulted in the negative results of that final meeting. He couldn’t manage his emotions, and they’re all clearly very uneasy around him.
Y’all don’t understand Dawn turned out to be the leader and artist that Diddy really wanted Aubrey to be. Aubrey changed and she was suppose to be the leader
Witnessing the disbandment and break up of Danity Kane was undeniably challenging. While certain people may have blamed Diddy, it's essential to note that several other factors significantly influenced their downfall. These issues included a lack of support from the management, trust issues, a possible lack of financial stability, and some problems with the girls not getting along. It's crucial to acknowledge the reality of Danity Kane, as Dawn rightfully pointed out in her conversation with Diddy.
Aubrey stood on business that's why he didn't like her she wasn't weak like Dawn he couldn't have his was with her but it's so sad what happened to Dawn
I actually understand where Diddy is coming from. I still can’t pinpoint what was the breaking point of the group. To be honest, I think Aubrey wanted to be a part of a group IF she remained the “main” girl and I think she positioned herself for that. We now know that Diddy bought Dawn out of a previous contract she was in, so I lowkey don’t blame him for working with her on the side. A return on the investment he made with her. After watching this, I feel like D. Woods wanted out of the group a LONG time prior to this. Aundrea always looks stressed and unhappy. I don’t know this is just such a sad mess to watch again.
Dawn was the only one who kept it real in that meeting. Everybody else was sugarcoating it like stop lying y’all don’t like each other cause that’s been obvious plus she wasn’t lying about the cliques
They were probably sugarcoating it because they didn't want to get fired. Dawn already knew she had something else lined up making it easier to be honest in this meeting. Dawn looks like she acting, she knew this was coming
I mean it wasn't obvious why they had to? I, myself, am all about keeping it real. But they did it to keep the business going to get all they could out of it because they all were tired and Unhappy and not getting paid! They didn't go through all that stuff they went through (trying to make the band, then making it and going thru all their personal things and the artist development) you know that's alot just to not try to keep going. He targeted Aundrea first because she's the more emotional one that will talk vs the rest of them.
LITERALLY watching all the old : MAKING THE BAND EPISODES from MTV !!!!!!!!!!!😍 Since Season 2 . And remember dancing to all the Beyonce, Ciara, Jojo, Pussycat Dolls songs and choreography !!!!!! This show was my childhood. I wanted to be these GIRLS 👏👏💯
Aubrey fans need to be honest with themselves. It was a bad situation for all the girls but she went about it the wrong way. Sleeping her way to the top, and making side deals that intentionally exclude the other 4 girls always leave room for division. Once that was done, Diddy came in and did what he always does which is mayhem. But Aubrey was the secret catalyst to the downfall of DK, and I think Dawn was the scapegoat.
And look at her now. We saw Aubrey going the direction she was headed from jump. She was the only one in the group wanting the fame and celebrity status.
She was homeless before she met Puff of course Dawn had loyalty to him on top of him paying to get her out her old contract 😂😂 yall don’t be knowing nothing just hating
@@everythingbutbasic1979Wonder why him buying her out of a contract was kept a secret . Plus why would she sign on to do a show while in a recording contract .
@@stacyr4768that happens a lot in the music business, you don’t know who you’re going to become and what opportunities will come your way. Nicki Minaj was signed to Fendi & Deb Antney and had to get bought out her old contracts, Megan Thee Stallion was signed to 5150 and Roc Nation had to buy out her old deal to sign her… bigger and better business opportunities and money plus the fact it’s more exposure can lead to an artist wanting to do more…
41:41 It’s sad. Cause you can tell Diddy GENUINELY loved Danity Kane but his stupid morals and greed got in the way. Like when he speaks to them you can tell how excited he gets. He really did them dirty but you can tell he was VERY proud of them.
One odd thing to note about Danity Kane was the fact that we NEVER saw Dawn and D. Woods interact much AT ALL. Through watching all of these seasons again, there has never been a key moment where you've seen the 2 of them connect. Also, Aubrey and Dawn were the only ones to directly put everything on the table at that meeting; they gave two different outlooks to the catalyst for what the group's demise was. Aubrey pretty much told him how there was a huge lack of communication between the group and management (especially after Johnny Wright left them). Dawn pretty much summed up the trust issues which was, again, caused by terrible management because how are they finding out things that you're planning to do with certain members from other sources than you and the team that you've appointed to manage them? All of this showed Diddy for the true narcissist that he is. A monster.
@@ThingsTo_Watch Um no. Aubrey & even Shannon(who’s the nicest one) said on Breakfast Club that Dawn was creating fake accounts to talk smack about D Woods & Aubrey. Then said one time D Woods called Dawn & Dawn didn’t hang up properly. Dawn started talking crazy about her & D Woods heard her. D Woods confronted her & there was almost a fight & Dawn claimed it was her boyfriend. Aubrey said D Woods didn’t care enough to have an issue with Dawn😂😂😂😂
We honestly never saw D interact with anyone in the group other than Aubrey. Never with Aundrea, Shannon or Dawn. It’s clear that she wasn’t there to be friends with them.
@@Devindoee watching it back years later, I never picked up on it but she was such a an outcast with everyone but Aubrey and then how quickly she left when "Diddy fired", it's like she was thinking "thank God, finally"
Not a fan of Puff but I remember watching this in real time and thinking wow Aubrey is going for the Pamela Anderson look and sure enough he called it out
Season 3 is what cause aubry to alter her look. She felt like thats what they wanted or maybe she was mocking them because they pushed her as this poster pop star.
When I sawl this at the beginning puffy and the dance teacher had a disagreement. Puffy acted like she was purpose to say she sorry. I don't think he said he was sorry. He did it in a weird way by saying you miss me. I understand why people are mad at puffy I see how his ego is and how he push is power on people. He wants everyone to now down to him and he never says he is sorry when he hurt people. He acts like he has a empathy. I understand it's a business at the end of the day he can still treat people with respect
lorianne getting emotional during the diddy reconciliation scene hits different .. she was obviously traumatized by something that went on behind the scenes.
My love for Dawn has never faded. I love that she’s killing it solo ❤️ re watching the show she really held it down. Best vocalist, phenomenal dancer and several members talked about how she centered and supported them but they weren’t able to do that for her so to see folks jealous of her is just- whew. D and Aubree threw so much shade at the finale but then Aubree wanna make long ass speeches pretending to be healed 😅 Like what? I will say though the episode where he fires them is brutal. I also recognize this is TV 😂 I Wonder how much was cut to make this particular narrative and what we didn’t get to see. Anyways. Danity Kane forever. Still got my fingers crossed for a reunion tour. I’m tryna wear a babydoll dress and slap my own hand to bad girl 😭
Do you realize Dawn had a solo deal while in Danity Kane. Dawn was making secret projects with Diddy, or sorry Diddy was making it with Dawn, cause poor girl did not have a choice. There was plenty other shady stuff connected to Dawn. D Woods hinted that when diddy fired her ^_^ Nevertheless Dawn was definitely backbone of the group, when it comes to overall artistry. Her pen, her voice, her dancing skill, she's definitely a gem.
@@kesutapThat’s because he bought her out of a contract so she had to repay her dues . The issue is , he didn’t communicate this with the group hence the trust issue .

I love drea’s attitude. She accomplished her dreams ..now she’s married and away from that industry. She’s living in peace..aundrea’s exit was so sad..now that was sad
I don’t understand how some are blaming anyone else but Diddy? Clearly management was awful. They weren’t being paid, they had trust issues, etc. Diddy destroyed the group simple as that
Those girls had more God in them than Diddy ever will, so I don’t know why he was going off and saying don’t bring God into ur petty drama on D Woods for saying it’s God’s will. She’s not wrong. I didn’t like this scene at all and Diddy was the one making himself look crazy on tv and fueling people’s questions, not the group.
Aubrey def let the fame get to her head. D Woods was no better, she was just as arrogant. I was a Dawn fan then, but i truly believe she knew this was going to happen when it did. She played as if she didn't. She wanted the number 1 spotlight. Diddy needed Dawn for his new group "Diddy, Dirty Money". The man ruined a lot of artist lives
Truly this was a dream..because the reality, what it takes to get here is a nightmare..but when it aired was a dream..dreamy to watch and I was so happy to see those girls live their dreams but you don’t know behind the scenes what they really go through and the sacrifices made to entertain on that level ..it’s sad. If smoke and mirrors was an industry it’d be the music industry
I would never have guessed Dawn would’ve been the downfall of the group. You would assume it would be Aubrey because of Diddy saying her oversexualized image was ruining them a majority of this series, but like someone else in the comments said maybe she should’ve communicated her behind the scenes deals with the other girls. At the same time, it’s mostly Diddy’s fault and he’ll never admit he was truly the downfall of the group because him making a bad abusive “pimp and ho” situation for the girls was the worst part, not the “petty drama” he claims. Ew, and Dawn’s Day 26 boyfriend is a sucker for getting involved and throwing shade at another woman (Aubrey for doing Hairspray). Nobody will ever know what they went through unless they were in Danity Kane.
Diddy literally fired everybody to keep Dawn 😂 now she’s got a 70 page law suit against him chile…Shannon mentioned her soul..yes chile keep your REAL marriage and your soul
I respect Aubrey so much because she was not scared to call it out. That said, I also never thought it was fair that people try to blame Dawn or blame the other girls because that was literally their lives on the line. Aubrey and Dawn being outspoken has also given a lot more context to the situation. Those girls were not getting paid, so watching it now and seeing, especially Dawn's reaction where she said "I don't have anything to go back to", it's very easy to be critical without being in a situation where you don't know what you can do to survive just suddenly, in the blink of an eye. People think because they were in a successful group, that they were making millions but we've seen with so many artists at this point that that was not the reality for a lot of them. I hope they're all doing well and they've all released music separately and together as groups, duos, etc. and what we know about Diddy now(on top of all the old rumors), they weathered a storm working under him.
Day26 managed to put out EP’s The Return in 2014 (which was also released on streaming this year) & A New Day in 2018 & has an album on the way & have toured
if you look in to the Bad Boy roster over the years, most of his artists never made it to 3 albums under Bad Boy & the ones that did only got 3 albums & then he shelved them so its definitely something not right in the water with Puff …..
please don't throw your rotten tomatoes at me but Aubrey is a playmate type - she is not modern or even fashion - Puffs female artists like Lil Kim was/is also very sexual but in a very fashion/stylish /iconic way so there are different ways to push sexy without looking like a playmate and thats what he is getting at. Her album Hardcore was art. Madonna's Erotica album was art. This girl with her huge blonde hair is not inspiring in any way, there is no edge to play with. He is "selling" these girls yes because thats what it comes down to, but if they all look like strippers without any fashion/art element thats not anything exciting/ groundbreaking. Puff with all his ego / toxic masculinity was still able to push someone like Lil Kim, a black female who was from the streets rapping about sex ,as an artist who was taken seriously and was loved and respected by the fashion/creative community.
It’s sad when the media, management, society they try to pin girls against each other. The girls together seemed fine earlier seasons, I wish P. Diddy didn’t fire the other girls, he should have heard them out. I appreciate the girls trying to work it out on their own. Even though Aubrey did change a bit with the fame, she still had the interest of the group. P. Diddy is so defensive, saying he isn’t the bad guy BUT HE IS! Now with allegations coming out, I wouldn’t be surprise if there was more behind the scenes of SA etc.

I don’t get how Diddy didn’t like how sexual Aubrey was getting/looking when the routines he had these girls doing were scandalous af.
Look how sexy the girls dressed while trying out for Making The Band!!!! Geez. What did he expect?? He’s the one who even said sex sells!!!
Because he didn’t want her to tarnish her image and look at her now unrecognizable 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 he was keeping it real trying to encourage her to be a bit more natural she was never ugly
Her new look was trash. I cant lie however I don’t like how he handled it
Diddy used them and didnt like how Aubrey didnt need him and stood up for herself
Diddy getting his karma now🧃
The sound guy was lying so hard! They’re whispering! Now we all know these girls don’t have whisper voices!! Just fix that shit senior!
I’ll always love Dwoods
Aubrey did well to speak up for herself and the group.
1:59:21 He told on himself…he definitely was trying to divide and conquer them and exploited the weaker link (Dawn more so) in the situation, and definitely had a problem with Aubrey first, then D. Woods.
He tried to poison the minds of the three that went into his office against their other two bands members who said their goodbyes and left after their talk with Puff…
2:09:39 Puff’s whole mission to come on here was to save face - think damage control.
To be fair, Diddy wasn't entirely wrong about Aubrey
So what, he still was going to get rid of the group anyways
Right she looks totally different and that's what he was trying to prevent
Thank you! Cause Aubrey’s fans don’t want to tell the truth. She’s a talented girl and she was beautiful at one point but she was the initial crack in the foundation of Danity Kane that gave Diddy room to cause division and do further damage.
I really felt Dawn and Aundrea's despair at 2:33:26. The song choice was appropriate.
Aubrey was my fave but she definitely changed up once the group kicked off
Definitely!!!!!
She did, but she also was growing up.
Dawn was singing like a canary
I don’t care what no one says I feel like Dom betrayed the group. Aubrey was the only one strong enough to stand up for them because she was talking about the real problem management, and how they were being treated and I’m sure financially, but all the other girls were too caught up on who like each other and who did it you don’t have to always get along, but as far as having the right management, and being paid what they deserve and treated right that should’ve been given
How do you feel Dawn betrayed the group but Aubrey didn't?
Love me some DK - all of them. I still feel like Dawn was wrong for not communicating her back-door deals. Not cool. But ultimately, Diddy’s ego resulted in the negative results of that final meeting. He couldn’t manage his emotions, and they’re all clearly very uneasy around him.
She didn't have any backdoor deals. 🙄 Did Aubrey communicate all of her backdoor deals?
@@SeeItsReggieTshe did with the broadway shit. Dawn legit wasn’t telling them shit lol
@@jahbvbypost Maybe she was told not to. Mind you, she didn't really even have any backdoor deals.
Man how correct did Aubrey see Diddy. She SAW him! And it killed him.
Na the main issues were money. They weren’t being paid. Diddy made all the money and they got scraps.
18:58 .. diddy predicted his own (2023) fate .
Wow
Dawn was the only one who kept it real in that meeting. Everybody else was sugarcoating it like stop lying y’all don’t like each other cause that’s been obvious plus she wasn’t lying about the cliques
Exactly you could see the divide soon as Aundrea wasn’t friends with Aubrey anymore

Danity Kane would have still been a group on another label!!! Diddy the death of talent!
Aubrey stayed on Diddy's neck. Dawn was sipping that red kool-aid hard. SMH

41:41 It’s sad. Cause you can tell Diddy GENUINELY loved Danity Kane but his stupid morals and greed got in the way. Like when he speaks to them you can tell how excited he gets. He really did them dirty but you can tell he was VERY proud of them.
He was proud of what HE created. He wasn’t that attached to them to care about them unfortunately

What was clear was that Dawn was telling diddy all that behind their backs...thats why they got here to begin with

Lies
A monster.
I definitely have notice the lack of interaction between Dawn and D. I think D. Woods was secretly a problem.
@@Yung-z4yAubrey’s mouth ain’t no prayer book ! That’s her perception
We honestly never saw D interact with anyone in the group other than Aubrey. Never with Aundrea, Shannon or Dawn. It’s clear that she wasn’t there to be friends with them.

Season 3 is what cause aubry to alter her look. She felt like thats what they wanted or maybe she was mocking them because they pushed her as this poster pop star.
diddy's new nickname should be "gas lighter"
That should be Aubrey's.

Yupppp absolutely 💯 it's crazy watching this circa NOW - holy actual 😩
Dawn rules
@@kesutapThat’s because he bought her out of a contract so she had to repay her dues . The issue is , he didn’t communicate this with the group hence the trust issue .

@@kesutapMan, it’s 100 years later and there was never a Dawn solo album on Bad Boy Records. Dirty Money was a couple years AFTER all the ladies decided to leave and take a break. Dawn wanted to keep working as she should.
So said they could have all come through and pulled together and made several more albums even if they had issues internally, they would’ve made their music. But MTV did not pick up the show for another season and diddy thought they weren’t going to get the free publicity anyone. Which was true. But they had so many fans and truly talented. She played as if she didn't. She wanted the number 1 spotlight. Diddy needed Dawn for his new group "Diddy, Dirty Money".

It WAS Aubrey.
Dawn wasn't the downfall, though.
If Diddy wanted help them he would have suggested a group get away with a therapist and group healing sessions
Them some bad chikas. That bad girl choreography was 🔥🔥
DK and Day26 should have put out at least a few more albums. I’m still not sure if it was diddy or the talent that screwed it up.
Day26 managed to put out EP’s The Return in 2014 (which was also released on streaming this year) & A New Day in 2018 & has an album on the way & have toured
I wonder what their original deals were, like how many albums were they obligated to make?
if you look in to the Bad Boy roster over the years, most of his artists never made it to 3 albums under Bad Boy & the ones that did only got 3 albums & then he shelved them so its definitely something not right in the water with Puff …..
DUH IT WAS DIDDY
1:40:00 for the break up - we know what we here for
Diddy needs to give those girls their money
please don't throw your rotten tomatoes at me but Aubrey is a playmate type - she is not modern or even fashion - Puffs female artists like Lil Kim was/is also very sexual but in a very fashion/stylish /iconic way so there are different ways to push sexy without looking like a playmate and thats what he is getting at.
