My most memorable gift was the year my daughter's gave me a TV. I know how hard they both worked and saved for it and it was done with such love after a very difficult time in our lives.

When my daughter was about 7 years old, she became friends with another little girl that was her age. This little girl was less fortunate than us, she rarely did anything “fun” because her family couldn’t afford it, so we took her to do things with our family a lot of the time. Flash forward to we the girls were 14. Her mother was having a very difficult time and asked us to take her daughter in with us, and of course we did. That year we gave her everything that we gave our daughter, she was so happy Christmas morning opening all her gifts! Seeing her joy that morning, and her graduate was definitely a blessing to our family. She is now 22 and doing great in life.
My most memorable gift was the stereo set my husband bought me because he knew how much I enjoyed listening to music. He was so proud because he had made me so happy.

My favorite gift of all time is an accordian my parents bought me at Christmas when I was 14. They gave me presents that morning, they said it was a small amount and watched to see if I noticed, I don’t guess I did!! ☺️☺️ Then later that day dad, who was a pastor, brought it in to me... I was sooooo excited!! He explained to me how thankful he was for my good attitude! Such a beautiful memory! And yes, I still have and can still play it! 🤗❤️🤗 Awesome video!!

Thinking of my most memorable gift the first thing I though of was 2004 when my youngest son who has a rare disease and is medically fragile got to come home for Christmas after “coding” 3 times just 10 days before Christmas . I remember thinking while in the ICU that we were never going to celebrate Christmas again. Thankfully, I and the doctors were wrong and God had other plans. Life hasn’t been easy for him but he’s still here with us. 🙌🏻❤️ Going further back to an actual present, my engagement ring in 1991.

What a wonderful mom you had ❤️ I think one of the most special gifts I’ve ever given was when I was about 10, my 4 siblings and I gave my dad a weeping cherry tree in a wheelbarrow (of course my mom had a little bit to do with making it happen lol). My dad planted that little sapling back in 1977 and today it is a huge gorgeous tree and my dad ALWAYS loved that tree. We just lost Dad on August 15th and looking at that tree just makes me smile.
The most memorable would have been a day were I wasn’t feel well and my husband went and woodburn I love you on a little piece of wood and gave it to me ❤️
Handmade gifts are so special cause you know that person put their love/time into it. That doll you have is precious and what a wonderful memory. You moms special touch is all over it and it is a like hug from her to you. I have a few memorable gifts. One of my favorite was a woven doll made by local artisans from where my grandmother lived. It is made of some special material that gives off this nice earthy scent. I still have it and every time I smell it, it reminds me of her. We always traveled to visit her during summer break and she passed away when I was 12. So that doll and this other item are the only two gifts I still have from her. I am 41 now, but that scent takes me back in time.
I don’t really have a favorite gift that I have given, but I can say that, when I see the true joy and excitement on my grandchildren’s faces at what they have received from us on Christmas....to know that I gave someone so much joy....that is truly a wonderful 🎁 gift.
The most memorable gift(s) was a quilt made from my late husband's clothing by a very special friend. She also made a lap quilt for me and my youngest son as well as pillows for all of my grandchildren from his clothing. I cherish those quilts and I use them all the time, especially when I need to feel close to my late husband. My friend also told me that after I gave her the clothing, she sat hugging a lot of it, saying a prayer. Still tears me up 5 years later. Love your favorites and some are on my list to get, especially a spray tent. Love all and anything Cricut, especially my machines and my Easy Press. I have yet to find the scrappers from DT though. She was born on Christmas Eve and at the time, I was excited but over the years as we've both grown, she has truly become a gift and a joy in my life and I'm so thankful for that gift so many years ago.

I walked in the door after running some errands to see a beautiful, 8-foot dining room table and four chairs. My husband worked for weeks and kept the secret.

I've received and given many gifts over the years. There is one that stands out because it was given to me by my son. When he was little, about 5, he bought me the sweetest pink gold ring out of one of those gum machines. I wore it for a long time before putting it up so it would not break. He is 30 now but I still have that ring and will always treasure that little ring. Love your channel!

Not professionally sewed at all, these were just random pieces of material different shapes and sizes sewn together and she attached a sheet on bottom side!! I LOVE it because it was so HER! Miss her with all of my heart! I get my craftiness from her!

I had seen that box for years in her room, and she always had the prettiest things. She had been a model in Chicago when she was younger. I had always admired that she was always very put together and glamorous with her clothing, hair and makeup. While the jewelry wasn’t all expensive, it was absolutely priceless to me because it came from her.

As a teacher I appreciated everything families gifted to me. It really was not expected. My most treasured gifts were the ones that children made themselves. So precious.
My most memorable gift was one my husband and I made for his mom. We mad a wooden tree to handle in her room at the nursing home. We put ornaments with names of her kids and grands. We had battery operated lights and garland wit a box on the front which held Christmas cards and the battery packs foster lights! She adored her tree. It made us so thankful and blessed to give her that smile. We list her in February. This year we built a metal tree wth ornaments, gold garland and a beautiful star. With a spotlight to lite her tree on her resting place in the cemetartmt! We know she is thrilled.

She incorporated fabric from my Grampas old flannel shirts & tshirts bc whenever I'd go over to spend the night I ALWAYS had to have a Grampy shirt as a nighty😁 They've both passed on now🥺But that quilt stays on my bed & it has for the past 30yrs!!! I've had to fix it here & there over the years but it's so special to me! Just the memory of this gift, I bought my husband the Kreg jig set up for Christmas (a gift we could both use) and as we were opening gifts with our family on Christmas day one of the gifts I opened from my husband was...a Kreg jig set up! I had to think on the question for a bit but then I remembered the year I moved back home to care for my parents,( my dad was very ill and not very mobile and my mom had fractured her back lifting him), my four grown children knew I was under a lot of stress so they all pitched in for an hour massage plus a mani/ pedi at a local salon; it was shear heaven! My most memorable gift is the blanket my mom made me when I was in 3rd grade. I still have blanket and always will. Great shape still after 35+ years.

I've received and given many gifts over the years. There is one that stands out because it was given to me by my son. When he was little, about 5, he bought me the sweetest pink gold ring out of one of those gum machines. I wore it for a long time before putting it up so it would not break. He is 30 now but I still have that ring and will always treasure that little ring. Love your channel!

As a teacher I appreciated everything families gifted to me. It really was not expected. My most treasured gifts were the ones that children made themselves. So precious.
My most memorable gift was one my husband and I made for his mom. We mad a wooden tree to handle in her room at the nursing home. We put ornaments with names of her kids and grands. We had battery operated lights and garland wit a box on the front which held Christmas cards and the battery packs foster lights! She adored her tree. It made us so thankful and blessed to give her that smile. We list her in February. This year we built a metal tree wth ornaments, gold garland and a beautiful star. With a spotlight to lite her tree on her resting place in the cemetartmt! We know she is thrilled.

My favorite & most special gift I've ever gotten is a quilt my Grammy made me. She cut & sewed every stitch by hand! She incorporated fabric from my Grampas old flannel shirts & tshirts bc whenever I'd go over to spend the night I ALWAYS had to have a Grampy shirt as a nighty😁 They've both passed on now🥺But that quilt stays on my bed & it has for the past 30yrs!!! I've had to fix it here & there over the years but it's so special to me! It is a country side scene of where he grew up and I framed it in an antique clock case that we found together at a tag sale. One Christmas as a young girl, My parents gave me a quilt that I love so much!! I loved it to threads! My mom replaced the back with a soft polyester fabric that made it even better!! As a matter of fact, that quilt was used and loved by my oldest son until it fell apart a few years ago! It was a much-loved blanket!!

My most memorable gift is my mom's handwritten recipe book. She wrote notes around each recipe as well of when we enjoyed the dish and who helped her prepare it. There are photos of family and little drawings as well. I have made one for my daughter that we add recipes and memories together.
Just the memory of this gift, I bought my husband the Kreg jig set up for Christmas (a gift we could both use) and as we were opening gifts with our family on Christmas day one of the gifts I opened from my husband was...a Kreg jig set up! One of my most memorable gifts i have ever given were given to my nieces and nephews. I made each of them a stuffed robot and wrote a whole story to go along with them. They loved them and it was so fun to see them play with them.
I had to think on the question for a bit but then I remembered the year I moved back home to care for my parents,( my dad was very ill and not very mobile and my mom had fractured her back lifting him), my four grown children knew I was under a lot of stress so they all pitched in for an hour massage plus a mani/ pedi at a local salon; it was shear heaven!
