thanks for being so open about the process and demystifying it! it's hard to find good process videos for large-scale needle felting, I really appreciate it
I watched your series of video tutorials on sculpture making, which were very helpful to me. Thank you very much for your selfless sharing and very detailed explanation! (I am from Taiwan and use a translator for English)
You’re sculptures turned out amazing! You’ve also provided such a thorough lay down on needle felting. I really enjoyed how you approached this medium with enthusiasm. I feel motivated to tackle a new material with that sense of discovery and experimentation.
I get my wool from Sarafina Fiber art and Livingfelt. (U.S.) Core wools are used to make the insides of your projects. Tops, the silky ones are to put over your core . Makes it so pretty. You scared the crap out of me with those automatic needles! Lol
SUPERCOOL! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm going to start a large sculpture and was wondering about needle vs wet felting. After seeing that it didn't take you an unbearable number of hours to cover the foam core, I'll go needle
Hello ! Happy New Year 2021 ! I just discovered you today because I was looking for original creations in felt and I am just amazed by your scuplture ! They are so beautiful !!!! You are a real artist ! thank you for sharing your adventure with felt. Nat
Fantastic! So informative for larger sculpture. And I agree with Kessa... that scared me too! Eeeeeeeowwwww. Love your audio style - to the point and easy to follow.
Thanks for the video! I'm an artist and beginner in felting, will start working on larger sculptures in felt now and this video gave me important advice and motivation too!
I was wondering if you could use foam in the center and your video answers all of my questions thank you sooo much looks great makes me think making christmas tree topper might not be so hard after all
How did you get the roving to lay down so smooth? I've tried different types of roving corridale included. I've tried many different tools... Multi-tools needle felting pens etc.... But it always is fuzzy.... Please let me know.....
Steve Ferrera I understand COMPLETELY. I thought you were pretty brave to whiz that appliqué felter just in the air. You work is lovely. I needlefelt on a small scale, which means holding it in my hand, which means accidental blood draws. Felting into foam on a larger scale would reduce that.
Thank you so much for this. I’ve been thinking about buying so many of the tools you featured & while they are all awesome I can see where they would or wouldn’t work for me.
thank you for making these videos, this is exactly what i've been searching for!!!
Thanks for watching :)

These turned out awesome! A lot of time went into them and it shows, are they for an exhibit?
Thanks! I didn't get to show them much- they sold a super fast.
I got arthritis just thinking about felting something this big

How far do you think you get with 1lb of roving? I’m not sure how much I should order, seems like a little goes a long way with this technique?
it all depends on how thick your layers are- could make them very thin- but I prefer a bit thicker
Holy sheeet
dope
I see that there’s one really bent needle in the super-duper holder.
I was too lazy to change it :)

I use needles from from Felt Alive.

@@divalea thanks! I went through quite a few bandaids :)
Thank you for not having the creepy puppet
lol
I've sat there felting the same area for an hour trying to get it to smooth out.. needless to say it was hard as a rock and fuzzy
