  • Garry Moore, Henry Morgan, and Bill Cullen continue rummaging through the junk sent to Bill by the home audience. John Vittitow and daughter Vicki of Louisville, Arkansas, have shown up because Vicki sent Bill the key to their hall closet, where their Christmas gifts are stored. NYC Postmaster Robert Schaffer collects postage due in stage money. Postal workers sing Christmas carols.

    This is somehow so moving. People were content to just have silly, innocent fun.

    I am surprised they were able to send live animals like kittens and mice thru the mail. Also kinda sad, that's cruel (IMO) to send kittens or puppies or any kind of pet in the mail bc someone thinks they're "junk." (And NO, I am not a snowflake, just a concerned cat and dog lover.)
