This was a marvelous video on a truly great pool/billiards player. That last 8-ball rack is the best rack-run out I’ve ever seen in my life. Including all of Efren’s. But those first two and last two pots were in a class of their own in any given rack. But they were made in the same. That made this rack the best for me.
played on the county circuit back in the 90s with chris . knew then he was different . he got the right sponsorship . and took his chance . good luck chris .
@The John Cooper Show and Quang you all don’t know pool if you think Efren couldn’t do what he does and also that he’s more creative! 1. Efren doesn’t always have to be because he sets himself up way better and more control! 2. Chris beat Efren when he was 64 years old and well out his prime and vision not as well and you can see his play had gone down! Prime on prime Chris never stand a chance! 3. Efren has beat the best out there and not by small margins and not only once! He spanked Mika multiple times in 8 and 9 ball! Earl Strickland and the amazing 9 rack runout on Bustamante and not to mention how many big money games as well!
@@GonzoJ121686 nah Efren fan,you said efren is out of his prime, then looks at this Chris who is also out of his prime,bs comparison. He beaten Mika,so what ?Remmeber that legendary match between Chris and Mika?
It is the magic triangle and has holes in the frame of the rack to settle the balls on so that everything is lined up straight and compact, and then the referee will remove it from the table after the break. Sometimes the 9 ball will stay inside the rack after the break and other times it will not, depending on how hard the player hits the break shot and what type of break shot is used, such as a cut break for example.
Chris Melling is a great player, and I hate to be “that guy,” but there is only one Magician in pool, and I don’t even have to say his name because everyone knows who I’m talking about.
@@guitarmancole4176 he “beated “ him? So what. Nobody ever said Efren has never lost a game. Overall, efren is the GOAT, Greatest of ALL time. Period. Chris is a great player, but no comparison to Reyes.
When you play this at amateur level, it's always the same thing. You pocket almost all your balls, then miss the last one. Then player #2 plays and pocket almost of his balls; if it goes well for him, he manages to pocket the black one. Otherwise, you're left with like 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 black, and the outcome is basically random..
Insult to use the moniker the "Magician".. There is only one Magician in pool! It's like calling Lebron "Air Lebron" when there can only be one Air Jordan.. Please don't insult the GOAT and yourself Chris.. Use a different nickname..
If not, one of the best of all time. And how he swaps between disciplines is another level to everyone else.
One the best videos, best finsishes, best shots and best commentary of all time.

It's the greatest run out of all time and it even managed to get noticed by people outside of the pool community. It was that strong a performance.
This guitar instrumental in the back is hard with these runs 💯 🔥
I have watched a LOT of pool and he Is the magician!!! and he can pot any ball from any position into any pocket!!

The last game against Immonen will be remembered for long time as a true magical performance by Chris ... The magician...
Smooth as butter!
That last shot off 4 cushions was incredible!
The last clearance was simply the best 💯
I now understand, position is always more important than the pot. Thank you. Almost as good as... follow through.
The music works nice here
I would love to see efren vs Chris that would b a wicked match
Melling already beat him. The match is on UA-cam.
2 x magicians
@@miamiwax5504 True! Melling beat him when he was already 64 years old.
I love watching chris melling play but there's only one magician I know and that's efren.
Chris CERTAINLY deserves the name tho. He actually has more creative runouts than Efren.
They’re both magicians in their own right. Efren could never have done what Chris did in that last run out
Nah you are just a fanboy who watches highlight,Chris already beat efren and I doubt efren can do what Chris did in the match with mika

Jeez calm down everyone. He got the 'magician' nickname from his early English pool days over 20yrs ago.
Beat run out ever!
Whats the triangle on the table used for and why’s it taken off the table after the break
Why have it there after the break ?
The kid clapping during the second rack is so pure.
潘曉婷可能還下知道一件事:梅林是斯諾克出身,而中式球台和斯諾克球台可謂一模一樣,差別只在比例
15 second clock is brutal wow
That device on the table at the chinese games? just to keep the 9 ball there or?
It's called a magic rack. Just there to make the balls tight and touching on every break.

Eften retired and Chris still playing. Can't see the problem with the same nickname
The 2 pool ones anyone can do. The others I skipped.. the only god like break here was the last one
Maybe "the wizard" would be more suitable. After all his name sounds like Merlin a fictional wizard originated in his country, England.
The UK has a wizard, it's John Higgins, the Wizard of Wishaw. One of the all time greats of snooker.
Ok but we all know who the real magician is !!
Efren bata Reyes.

Yeah the last rack is pure filth from Melling.
he could have come up with a more original nick name..
He got given it like 25 years ago playing English pool lol
OMG
Efren reyes is magician
Hate the added music
Yea and the fact that it has to start over again for every break and run makes it even more annoying
Magician?? Cmon.. There is only one magician in billiards and it's efren "Bata" reyes
You are misinformed
Omg shut up 🙄
Have u watched melling? The best cueist spreading across all cue sports for sure.
Music ruins it
