If who you're talking about (announcer) is Lenne Hardt, then she already did voice work for Tekken before, she voiced Anna Williams in Tekken 5 (which means they reused her voice for Anna until Tekken 7), she also apparently voiced Sarah from Virtua Fighter in VF4, I did not recognize her voice, I was convinced it was some Japanese guy.

I just realised, if the main mechanic of the game is called Heat, and we DON'T get a Yakuza/Like a Dragon character, I'll be upset.

Jokes aside, since Nagoshi no longer works at SEGA, I'm not sure if the thing with Kiryu still applies.
They added Negan to 7. They can add Majima if Kiryu is still off limits (also, I'm pretty sure ProjectXZone countered Kiryu's values which makes the argument dumb as fuck)

I was genuinely surprised with the announcer after I saw the first trailer lol. It surprised me, took a while to grow on me. I like her though. A lot of people complained that the t7 announcer was boring, so they went hard this time lol

I didn't buy Melty Blood for Neco Arc, but I'll sure as hell buy Tekken for Neco Arc.
The weird thing about this new characterisation from Jin is that it's exactly what I want from him, but it also feels jarring as hell the way it comes out of left field? It'd be more in line with the way Jin acts in T4. Unfortunately the way he's portrayed post-T5 has been somewhat of a mess. Overall, what I'm seeing is a positive change, but I guess I have to forget T6 Jin exists.
That's a good way of putting it; This is like a Jin from an alternate universe where T4's great story wasn't flushed down the toilet two games later, and earned a finale to his arc. Instead, we have a suicidal mass genocider we're supposed to be rooting for, I really wished 7 retconned that stupid-ass world war 3 plot.
No the best thing is i think they give around 2 cents about lore now sorta. I play Tekken and am just slightly a sweatlord. And i give 0 fucks about the lore and character. Tekken has always been that but some of the play testers say that Bamco is now pushing characters instead of functions. Which is what they did before. I never saw the difference between the Mishimas and Mishima esque characters. Jim was mishima lite with pokes, diablo jim was compact Mishima, kazuma was defensive mishima, and the heihachi was ungga bungga Mishima

Tekken was already pretty anime before but holy fuck it's just full on, at least with Jin and Kazuya. I don't really know how you're going to make the other characters look appealing after these two. Jin is literally installing mid combo and Kazuya has a fucking nuclear axe kick for a super.
I'm here for it honestly. I'm a simple man. I like cool looking shit in fighting games.

I can't even lie been playing all the major fighting games since a kid. Nothing is pulling me from sf6. But we are all in a good place as a community with the releases coming up. Sajam you still da man. Now can I get a hair flip lol 😆

If you make a charecter do claw strikes then they are automatically my favorite charecter. I can’t believe they are giving Jin real ass anime wolf claw strikes….or in this case would it be bird claw strikes or something.
Tekken Jimfinite?
Its funny, a lot of the Tekken OGs that I've seen (at least in America) are super excited by all this new shit. They've been playing basically the same game with new coats of paint since Tekken 4. They are understandably tired of just doing the same combos for 20 years with maybe a new combo ender or wallsplat thrown in.
The only thing I'm still worried about is the movement. Tekken 7 was a step in the wrong direction in terms of freedom of movement, and the fact they aren't showing it off makes me worried. A single sidestep per trailer is not going to cut it.
I disagree on the movement part. T7 probably has the best movement in the entire series and flows together so naturally,and I also would say T5 is more accurate to compare it to than 4,since 4 was slow,stiff and jank and 5 is more like T7.
Unfortunately we're definitely not going to get a trailer of characters proving the effectiveness of side steps. It just would not do enough to market the game to the wider audience. We're going to have to wait for people to play the game, and maybe a beta before we learn how effective the movement is. Unless they do just a full Tekken 8 mechanics deep dive sometime in the future, but still idk if they would show enough to prove it is better than T7. They would probably just show side stepping and side walking to avoid some attacks
Movement might not be nowhere near as strong as it was in the old games, but I still think it's pretty good in Tekken 7
@@21Handguns What?! the movement in T7 was a significant downgrade compared to TTT2. So many moves track its very difficult to step consistently in this game.

jin doing eliza flips out of nowhere just looks weird, I feel like what we've seen so far is at odds with what tekken has been so far and I'm not sure I like that.
