Hi Gloria! Thanks for your great video. Super informative. I want to enter Canada in a few weeks to visit my family. I don’t intend to carry so much cash with me(maybe $500). My family made it clear in my invitation letter that they will be responsible for covering my expenses while staying with them. Aside from the invitation letter, what other proof should I have to convince the officer that I can pay for my expenses in Canada?
Are you the one paying otherwise tell them you have a debit or credit card and your bank account credit card to use and if you need extra money you have a channel back home.

They will ask how you are related and how long you are staying and how much you have and when you are leaving. Maybe they will ask for health insurance.

I applied for visa year 2022 February to attend an international conference that took place June 2022 at Montreal Canada. Unfortunately, the visa was not given till May 2023. Since the period for the conference was already over but I still want to travel this time around, for a visit. What do I tell them at the airport? Kindly assist.

Hi Gloria,
I got a visitor visa recently and my biological brother is there. The purpose of my visit letter I gave while applied a visa is that "my marriage anniversary is in April, so I want to visit in April and we need to celebrate it together". But now it's hard to get there in April. It may be possible in May or Jun.
So what I can say to the immigration officer at the airport if he/she asks me the purpose of the visit?
Because my POV letter has a different date/month than the actual one I want to visit now like in May or Jun instead of April. please suggest to me the best and most practical answer.

There’s no difference having hotel reservation simply means you have made reservation under your name for a stay at the hotel either you paid in full or half but such room reservation will be under your name, same thing as you have paid for a hotel so it’s same thing

Hello Gloria ,I’m very glad I stumbled on your channel as you’ve answered most of my questions but I have more so please indulge me.
Firstly about the return tickets, can I book separately as tickets are very expensive now and i have money for just going but I’ll book a return with another airline that gives full refund under 24 hours. So I was thinking of booking my going with one airline next week and the day I’m leaving my country to Canada for the visit I quickly book with the second airline the return and once I land and I’m cleared, I cancel the flight. I just want to know if they will have problems with the different airlines and maybe time’s difference in booking.
Secondly in my application I wrote I don’t have no family and friends but I do have someone coming to pick me up at the airport so do I say I don’t have anyone picking me up as I claimed I don’t know anyone in Canada or it doesn’t matter.
Thirdly about the money/ proof of funds. Will they go through a persons account bank app to verify the money is it’s there? In a situation where I currently don’t have up to the millions I claimed to have in my account during application of the visa. Also I also used my fathers account bank statement with mine as I had little money and claimed he will also be sponsoring me on the trip
I just need to know if they will verify the money in my account cause I wouldn’t have cash at hand to declare and I wouldn’t want to print my bank statement as the balance won’t tally with what was submitted when applying but I’ll be in the country with my debit cards and hopefully they don’t tell me the make withdrawals at the airport too

Firstly you can book one way now and later book your return ticket but you need a return ticket to show the officer at the airport. Secondly, anyone can.come.and pick you from.the airport the officer will ask their.namea and contact.number and how you are related. What you indicated on your application don't matter.
Also, you need to have the proof of funds you signified in your application so you kisght use both statements and your money in debit or credit card. 😉

If I’m going in with recent bank statement must the closing account have the exact amount I claimed to have? Or they just need statements to see the inflow and out flow of cash
They want to see that you have the money you claimed on your application

6 months alone you can stay in Canada. If the officer stamp your passport that date is when you should leave Canada.

So what if you put $CAD 5000 on the form but have less on you would it raise red flags and what must you do?

I applied visitor visa for my parents and in the IRCC form I have mentioned length of stay is 2 months, Now we have changed our plan its going to be 6 months stay and also I have return ticket booked after 177 days of arrival.
During immigration should i say length of stay is 6 months or 2 months? please suggest
It doesn't matter how long they Stay as long as it doesn't pass 6 months. Just say this is the date they will leave Canada and you have a copy of the ticket.
