- #burst #drive #tarmacworks #pipe Hi my lovely friends, todays video is part of the renovations we are doing at home, I thought you may be interested in seeing where we started at the front of the house, what happened during, including a drama, and where we are now.
I hope you enjoy it, and if so, please give me a thumbs up, and leave a comment, I love to read them. Thank you for watching.
Love as always

Oh dear Lynn, what a nightmare for you both, it was a big job anyway but it soon turned into a gigantic job, good job you got it sorted. It really was fascinating to watch those guys laying the tarmac it’s an intense job much more to it than I thought but didn’t they work well together. It’s looking lovely now, and what a big space you have, it looks a beautiful house. Must give a shout out to Harvey, what a worker, don’t go over doing it Harvey , you deserve a pint or three after all that hard work. Bless him, what would we do without them hey Lynn.😊
Yes it was a nightmare at the time, but we got there in the end. I enjoyed watching the guys lay the drive, they were like a well oiled machine. Very dirty work though, and the rain ☔️ torrential at timed. Thank you, we like living here, but now, at our age we are trying to become maintenance free at the front as far as possible. Yes he’s very good, and I’m very lucky to have him ❤️🥰❤️
What a job Lynn!! Thank goodness the busted pipe was finally found before too long. That water was just gushing out of there like crazy. So glad it didn't create a sink hole, what a mess that would have been. God bless you hubby what a back breaking job. I know you both will be so glad to have it all done. Seems when you start a major project, things rarely go smoothy. I guess it always best to expect the unexpected. It was interesting watching the men work and seeing the process of how it's all done. When the spring comes around again, I need to do power washing around my house also. I love power washing though. It is satisfying watching the transformation getting all the dirt and grime washed away in an instant. All the best to you and hubby for the rest of the project. Hope the rest goes a lot more smoothly. See you soon lovely lady.💕💕💕
Oh I know, it could have been so dangerous if it was left undetected, did you see the massive cavern it had made, and the thing is, if the concrete hadn’t corroded under the flags that we took up, we never would have uncovered the manhole, so we wouldn’t have heard the water, and we’d have just put tarmac down, so in a way we have been very lucky. Oh we’re used to small jobs turning into majors, it’s nothing new for us hahaha 😂 I really was fascinated with how it all just worked, like a well, oiled machine, every one working together, knowing exactly what to do, amazing, it’s not often you see such workmanship, and dedication these days. Oh I’m the same, I absolutely love power washing, I get frustrated with Harvey because he’s that quick he misses bits, I can’t watch lol . Thank you sweetheart lady ❤️❤️❤️
I did see it. So fascinating. They must have worked as a team for some time because there didn't seem to be any chaos or confusion as to who does what. And they were so efficient. From what I saw not a lot of back and forth talking just moving on doing what they knew to do and doing so very well. You lucked out there for sure. haha, you need to be Harvey's supervisor. God bless him, he seems to be very hands on and that's not a bad thing for sure. Well sweet lady I'm so glad it's all done and for the most part, you can now sit back and relax a bit before the next big project. @@Nanna-M ♥❣❣❤
Oh Lynn followed this leak from start to finish and cannot believe how much hard work it took to locate it. Harvey worked so hard but it had to be found so that you could progress with your plans. The tarmac men worked so well together and gave me a great insight into how a drive is laid and how much goes into it. You now have the perfect finish to enjoy and can't wait to see the finished project. You should be very proud of yourselves how you have handled the nightmare . still filmed and kept so cheerful. Well done❤
Did you Mary, well you know how it all unfolded, but we’re on the right side of it now, just a few jobs to finish, weather permitting, it’s so cold 🥶 isn’t it interesting watching skilled people work, I’m fascinated with how the whole process works it’s so satisfying to me. When you get to our age, you’ve learned that getting stressed doesn’t change anything, it just makes it all worse, so I take a deep breath and crack on lol ❤️❤️❤️
Holy freaking Moly!!! Horrendous is very fitting Lynn.. how on earth can you remain so calm? I’d have had a million meltdowns lol 🤣🤣🤣
But in amongst all this mess I couldn’t help admire that BEAUTIFUL cobble throughout the house 😍😍😍
Out of this world ❤️xxxx
Oh Kelly, you do make me laugh, no point getting myself worked up about it, it’s a wasted energy my darling lady, we just had to get on with it and fix it. My husband loves cobbles, and I must admit they do finish it off nicely. This weathers stopping us from finishing off, it’s far too cold for me, I wouldn’t make a good Eskimo lol 😂 you have a lovely weekend, and don’t work too hard ❤️❤️❤️
It looks bloody beautiful, blood sweat and tears, and sheer grit,,,,,😊
Ah thank you Rita, we’re nearly there now thank goodness ❤️❤️
Wow Lynn!!! What a transformation to your driveway but what a problem Harvey found. It was horrendous. But you dealt with it all so calmly which was wonderful. The timing was good really. Imagine if the tarmac had been laid and had to be dug up again. Thank goodness that didn’t happen. But what a mess. Still it looks amazing now and your house is lovely too. Harvey is a good guy. It was a lot of work. I’ve only just found this video. I didn’t realise you’d posted it. It was very interesting. I’m so pleased that you’re happy with your drive now anyway. Xx 🙂🙂
Hi Carole, yes that’s how we’re looking at it, lucky that we found it before. It’s so much nicer now, we’re just finishing off a few jobs in between bad weather, and then that’s it till after Christmas. Oh really, UA-cam should have notified you, I think they miss sometimes, but not to worry, you found it anyway. Thank you very much, we like it ❤️
Oh my ! what a saga . lots of mess and hard work for Harvey but worth it in the end and how clean and tidy were the tarmacers x
Oh they were Nellie, I couldn’t stop watching them, and Harvey’s worked so hard bless him ❤️
Job well done….in the end. My late husband was a plumber and when we moved into our house, he said he could hear water running. The start of a long saga. Fortunately it wasn’t as difficult as yours. Take care of your lovely capable man. X
Oh noooo, everybody has difficult moments to cope with, don’t they, glad your hubbies as capable as mine, were very lucky ❤️❤️❤️
That was a big job. Great you found source of leak. It's soul destroying trying to get something done and running into problems. The guys did a great job, looks heaps better now. Onwards and upwards. It won't be long till all completely finished. You always get there in the end and it will all be worth it. See you soon x❤Ellen
It certainly was lol, but it’s all done now, and at least we have a brand new, plastic main feed instead of lead. It won’t take us long to finish, we’re just held back by the frost, it’s freezing here. Thank you Ellen ❤️❤️
Oh what an awful thing to have happened Lynn….you and your husband dealt with it marvellously…..at least now you know things are sound underneath the house. It looks lovely now…what a beautiful house you have. 🌸
Well thank you Jacquline, yes we’re on top of it now, a few more jobs weather permitting and then it’ll be finished, thank god. ❤️
That was a very interesting video, thank you for sharing.I am so sorry you had so much inconvenience, but it’s finely fixed, and the yard looks so nice,I am looking forward to seeing it completed.
Hi Janet, oh it’s ok we’re sorted out now, just one or two jobs to complete and then it’s all done, and thank you for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it ❤️
Hi lynn, thank god you got on top of the leak, well done harvey on all the hard work hes putting in,its knackering navvying work in the garden, love to both of you xx❤❤
Absolutely Shirley, he’s a good en, always has been a hard worker, but he does get knackered quicker now that he’s older. It’s looking good though, so it’s all good. ❤️❤️❤️
@@Nanna-M brilliant news lynn 👏
Crikey Lynn, you have the patience of a Saint, what a job you had, but it looks fab-u-lous now! Hope you are keeping well and getting better each day xxxx
Hello Mrs Bond, I do have a lot of patience, got it from my mum lol. Yes I’m feeling so much better thank you, hope you’re ok to sweetheart ❤️
Omg Lynn what a blooming disaster and how well you coped. Oh bless Harvey what hard work and you too I should imagine. The front of the house is going to look amazing when it’s all finished. What an amazing video though. Never thought the, guys, worked,so hard and so conscientiously as they did removing all the tar from your cobbles. It was good to see Thanks for such an insight into your drama. Take care Lynn. It must be the tough Yorkshire upbringing that gets us through these disasters lol
It was Pam, but we’ve overcome it now, and we’re nearly finished putting everything back tidy. It was so good to watch them work, very satisfying. I’m hoping it’s a long time before we have anymore dramas lol 🤞 well I’m Lancashire, but only next door, so yes northern grit 👍❤️🎄🤶🏻
That looks a big job. Love the look of your house and nice to see Harvey in the video.
Yes it was Patricia, all done now though thank goodness, he’s not one for being filmed lol, but now and again he’ll pop on ❤️🎄🤶🏻
OMG Lyne that was definitely a drama, and you were so calm.
You wont forget that in a hurry.
Your house is Beautiful, the drive looks amazing, and yes it was really interesting to watch. All perfect. Xxx❤❤❤
Hi Annette, I’m generally a very laid back person, but my hubby can get a bit stressed at times when things go wrong. N I won’t forget it lol but we’re all back to tidy now, just a few finishing touches. Thank you, I’ll be filming any jobs we do, and thank you for watching ❤️❤️❤️
Oh what a shame and a big job. You would think houses would come with details of where pipes are. We live in an older house and haven’t got a clue where ours are until one decides to burst. Yours does look good now. We’re still in the digging process. Wishing you well 😊
Hi Irene, it’s a very old property, hence the lead, even the water board didn’t have any details. But we got there, and it’s all looking much better, just a few jobs to complete it. Oh I feel for you, it’s a messy job isn’t it. Best wishes to you too ❤️❤️
Lynn how awful for you but we all need a Harvey bless him.
Beautiful home and garden.
Big hugs Diana xxx
Hi Diana, aren’t I lucky that he can do all these things. He’s never been shy of hard work. Thank you, and a massive hug back to you ❤️
Oh Lynn that was a nightmare for you and Harvey but what a lovely job it finished up being. It was better in the end that you found the burst pipe in the first place before the tarmac was completly finished. I found it really satisfying seeing it all getting rollered smooth at the end after all the hard work. 🤗💕🎄
Hi Cher, ah thank you, and yes we were lucky that we heard the water running otherwise we would have had a much bigger job, so it’s all sorted out now thank goodness. Oooo it’s so satisfying, I couldn’t stop watching them…have a lovely weekend lovely lady ❤️
OMG Lynn, What a mare! 😮 Tell that hubby of yours that he's a star...how lovely to gave a man than can 🤭 It's looking lovely now though and look forward to seeing it once it's finished. Catching up so on to your next video ❤x
Yes it was Tweety, No he’ll get a big head lol, he knows I appreciate him, he’s so good at that kind of stuff, the weather has put us back, but we’re going to tackle a bit more this next week ❤️ happy catching up lovely 🥰
Oh my what a nightmare for you and Harvey……I have to say it now looks really lovely so all that hard work you put in has paid off👍🥰
It was Bethany, but we’ve sorted it now, just a few things to finish off now, then a nice rest over Christmas ❤️❤️❤️
What a nightmare 😮 looks like you caught that just in time before it damaged the house foundations! Looks great now though 👍
Yes it was, but alls ok now thank you, bits and bobs to finish weather permitting ❤️❤️❤️
Oh my goodness Lynn what a nightmare…..I would have panicked if I heard that rushing water. What does Harvey do as his job he is a God send such a handyman
Hi Margaret, he’s a joiner by trade, semi retired, but he’s learned lots of building skills over the years, so in that respect we’re very lucky, and we don’t panic where most people would, imagine having to pay for a team to come in, and would they do as good a job….i don’t think so, but the tarmac team were fantastic I have to say. ❤️❤️❤️
Oh wow lynn what an absolute nightmare for you and Harvey. I’m so glad it’s all done now. I bet the stress of the leak was terrible for you both xxx
Yes it was, but we’re on the other side of it now thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Omg what a nightmare I’d have been pulling my hair out . Your very lucky your hubby seems to be a very handy man . I’m sure it will look lovely when it’s all finished looking forward to seeing the end result. Xx
Oh Wendy I am so lucky, he can do most things, he was a joiner by trade, but learned lots of skills over the years. It won’t be long now, we’ll that’s if the frost will pop its little head off ❤️❤️❤️
Hi lynne oh what a carry on for you and poor Harvey. I would have been so upset but you dealt with it all so well. Your house is beautiful. It was lovely to see Harvey too. I’m so pleased it’s all sorted for you now. Love all your videos 🥰💕
Yes it was a bit of a trial, but we sorted it, and we’ve got over it now. It’s not far off finished but the weather keeps holding us back, it’ll get done as soon as we’re able, thank you ❤️
OMG what a crazy mess and what a good job you found the leak before all the work was done.!
Harvey needs a gold medal for the back breaking job. Looking lovely now though 😀
Hi Dolly, I know, and yes he does, we’re nearly all done, but this crazy freezing weathers stopped play for now brrrr, thank you ❤️
Driveway looks lovely now. So neat. We had a tar macadam driveway once - the guys did a great job and in the uk years we were in that house it was the same from start to finish - never had a single blade of grass show up either. 😊
Hi Veronica, it’s definitely made it much cleaner looking, and easier to walk on. We’re just on with decorating, replacing a radiator, and tiling the floor in the entrance, it’s never ending lol 😂
That must have been soul destroying…..how awful for you both. You can now look at it with a fresh pair of eyes & know that at the very least, you know what’s been done with that pipe work has been done proper!
What you need now is a bloomin’ good holiday 😊
Your house looks fabulous Lynn & a huge credit to you & Harvey 👍 Good on you for having the right attitude, “well it just has to be done so we’ll get on with it” . Thanks for sharing. Take care of yourselves see you on the next one 😉 🧑🎄🌻
Yes you’re so right Lynda, we can. We know exactly what’s where, and it’s all new. Holiday booked for early next year, so I’ll look forward to that. Thank you, we love our home very much, it still needs lots of work, but we’ll get there, and I’ll take everyone along for the ride, camera at the ready lol have a lovely weekend ❤️❤️❤️
@@Nanna-M ❤️🌻 be right with you. 😉
Afternoon Lynn ,what a nightmare for you Harvey did work hard drive looks great now ,well done.❤
Hi Gillian, he did, and we’re nearly done, just stopped by the cold weather at the moment ❤️❤️❤️
Aww my goodness Lynn , what a nightmare for you both. You have a lovely big area at the front of your house , looking forward to the next video xx
Hi Julie, thank you, the nightmares over and were nearly finished now, the frost is holding us back a bit, far too cold to be out working in it ❤️❤️❤️
It is looking so much better Lynn, nice and tidy..xxx
It is Lilly, thank you ❤️
What a nightmare and such hard work fir your husband. It will look fabulous when its finished though you have a lovely home.❤
Yes it was Julie, but alls well that ends well as they say lol, and I’m very lucky, he’s such a hard worker ❤️❤️❤️
Oh WOW what a palaver you have been through, its looking lovely at the moment though and i hope the good vibes shine through to the end. Be positive Lynn and Harvey you will get there soon.
Hi Gina, yes it was, I haven’t heard that word for ages, palaver….im going to start using it again lol. We’re over it now, it’s all good, just some finishing touches and then we’ll be all nice and tidy ❤️❤️❤️
@@Nanna-M So pleased its nearly finished and you can both relax and enjoy what you have achieved.
I found it staggering that the water board is not responsible for all of the work. At the end of the day it’s their pipe, however I have received insurance paperwork in relation to pipe work in case there was a leak which would not be water boards responsibility. You never think it will happen to you. Crazy but what a great drive it will be once completed. Lovely house Lynn with great frontage. Take care xx
The end of a nightmare for you both! Looking good now, so enjoy!
So did we Tina, unbelievable, but anyway we did it ourselves, so it’s all good now. You were wise to get insurance, especially if you’re not able to do the work yourself. And yes, it’ll be all nice and tidy once complete. Have a fab weekend ❤️
We will, and thank you Valerie
Oh Lynn, what a job. Thank goodness your Harvey is so hands on. Your house is lovely and now the driveway matches. And more importantly the leak is fixed! Have a lovely weekend xx
Thank you Debs, yes we’re lucky in that respect. You have a great weekend too ❤️❤️❤️
Oh wow what a drama that was but it looks amazing now its done I enjoyed watching that so therapeutical glad it's all now sorted for you Lynn ❤
Yes it was Linzi, but all sorted now, just a few jobs to do to finish off ❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad you managed through as I'm sure it was a headache. Well done 👏 and take care
Yes it was Jane, but we’re over it now thank goodness, and thank you ❤️
Wow...wow....wow. what a nightmare!! I dont even know where the stoptap is😂. Looks like you took it in your stride Lynn, but obviously it must have been a really big ordeal for you and especially poor Harvey. It is looking really good though with the tarmac drive. My neighbours paid a fortune for a resin drive....so far so good. It will look lovely when all is done. You will need a holiday after all this. It looks lovely and rural where you live. 'ONWARDS AND UPWARDS' as they say. Xx
It was Jean, oh my Jean, you need to find that one out pretty soon lol, and I try my best not to get stressed about things I can’t do anything about. It’s clean and tidy, and a big improvement on before, so I’m ok with that. Just need to do finishing touches if the frost will go away lol. I live in a tiny village, not much here but we like it. We have a hol, booked early in the new year, so a nice rest is on the cards 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I would have been pulling my hair out Lynn what a trooper you are doing all those videos and you had that lot on your mind, I’m so pleased it’s got done and looks lovely so you can both put your feet up ❤️❤️
Did you not know, this is a wig Poppy lol 🤣😂🤣 we have things we need to finish, but there’s no rush, and we need this frost to pop off ❤️❤️❤️
What a nightmare for you both, you have a lovely home. The drive looks amazing , so fresh and tidy. We have 😮monoblock which was lovely when it was done but over the years it has lost the original colour with us power washing it. I know you said your wall comes up nice in the summer but not sure if you or your husband have heard of Wet and Forget, you just dilute it spray it on and leave it. It works up to 12 months. You don’t see the difference straight away but it starts to work gradually, it is amazing, we use it on our wall and flagstones.
Aw thank you Jean, no I’ve never heard of it, but I’m going to have a look, anything that saves work gets a thumbs up from me, so thank you for toeing me about it ❤️❤️
Telling that was supposed to say lol 😂 xx
Hi Lynn what a nightmare u and Harvey have had never imagined it was such a big job but it had to be fixed the driveway looks fantastic now thank u for sharing 😊
No Eileen, it’s was definitely a much bigger deal than we thought when we started, but it’s done now, all sorted, and with a few more jobs, weather permitting, it’ll soon be finished 🙏🏻 no more surprises lol ❤️❤️❤️
It looks very smart now Lynn, after all the drama. We had our drive re tarmaced some years ago, would have preferred resin finish but it was out of our price range unfortunately. My husband and myself have always done a lot off the renovations in our different properties over the years but now in our late seventies we are getting less able to do big jobs sadly. We do still do projects in the garden though, he is making a new garden arbour with a seat at the moment keeps him from under my feet. Ha ha.
Same here Hazel, far too expensive, we still have other areas, inside and out, to renovate so we have to watch the pennies. My husbands 72, and he’s noticed that his strengths not what it was, he’s had a new hip, but his knees are shot at, we’re dropping to bits lol 😂 he likes to have a project going though, and as you say, out from under our feet is a bonus hahaha ❤️❤️
Oh gosh what a disaster! It looks lovely now! A lot of hard work! Xx
Yes, it’s payed off Helen, thank you for watching ❤️
Oooh Lynn what a beautiful home you have xx thankfully your hubby knows what he’s doing and albeit a horrible inconvenience it was sorted and it now looks stunning xx I had every confidence it would be all ok in the end 😊
Thanks for sharing the journey xx
I know Shelly, I dread to think what it would have cost if we had to get people in to do what he did. We’re nearly done thank goodness, just the weather from stopping us now, too cold by far here ❤️❤️❤️
Hiya Lynn, what a nightmare you've had, Harvey has worked very hard, and those lads have done a grand job......your drive is looking fab now, can't wait to see it completed, then you'll have peace of mind knowing the pipework has been replaced and the drive is looking its best tfs Jax ❤x
Exactly Jax, we know it’s all good now, and not a lot left to do to finish, so it’s all good. Have a great weekend lovely ❤️
And you too xx
Looking good now Lynn, what a disaster for you and your husband, such a blessing that your husband found the leak when he did x
Hi June, yes it was, just imagine if we’d finished the drive before we found it OMG no I’m not thinking about it hahaha ❤️❤️❤️
Oh blimey what a herenduos time of it you and your Harvey have had, looks lovely now x
Thank you Cynthia, we’re getting there now thankfully ❤️
Oh Lynn what a drama, but it's all done now. Looking forward to the final push when weather allows. take care x
Ah thank you Milly ❤️❤️❤️
What a nightmare lynn. It’s a good job that you found the burst. Poor Harvey what hard work for him.
I know Tina, but alls well now, just finishing touches ❤️
Hi Lyn I hope you and Harvey are both well. That was just such an awful job 😳 but I'm so glad you literally got to the bottom of it eventually .your Harvey is such a trooper isn't he . bye for now look forward to your next vlog 🥰 xx
Yes, we’re fine thank you, hope you are too. Yes, he’s a good en, very hard worker, and it’s all sorted now thank you. See you on the next one ❤️
Bless you both! ❤❤
Thank you ❤️❤️
What a mess for you, so glad it’s nearly done now and it looks lovely. Harvey worked really hard and his hard work paid off. A product called wet and forget would keep the green off your wall, it really does work. Sending you best wishes , Sandra xx
Hi Sandra, yes we’re nearly there now thank you. Somebody else mention that product, I’ve never heard of it before, but I’ll be having a look for it so thank you ❤️❤️ have a lovely weekend ❤️❤️
WOW Lynn that was a huge job. Glad you found where the leak was coming from. Harvey has worked so hard with it all. Its looking lovely look forward to the gates and fencing to get done. You have a beautiful home ❤
He certainly has Nancy. The weather has stopped play, it’s too cold, but I’m filming it all as we go along, and thank you, we like it here ❤️❤️❤️
Oh!! Wow, Lynn, talk about a disaster, what a shame, Harvey did so much hard work too, but it’s finally done. It looks so good now, and you did a great job of filming it all too. Thanks for sharing it with us, and I hope there are no more “surprises “ in the future work. Bye for now, love Sandra x
Aw thank you Sandra, oh I hope so too, we don’t want anymore lol but you get what you’re given don’t you, so who knows…. Have a lovely weekend lovely lady ❤️
You too Lynn. ❤
Looks lovely Lyn and you have a beautiful house ❤😊
Thank you Julie, we like it and hopefully we will be able to get it finished one day ❤️❤️❤️
Oh my, what a thing to happen, Harvey has worked really hard, well done him.
It all looks so much better, you'll get there , it was good to see the job getting done.
Thanks for all that, from me in Scotland 😁😁
Aw he really has, and it’s nearly all sorted out now with just a few more jobs to do to finish it all off, and it’s a massive improvement from before. Well thank you for watching from Bonny Scotland ❤️❤️❤️
What a nightmare Lynn! Thank heavens the leak was located and you are now sorted after all that disruption. Your house is beautiful and your finishing touches to the drive, fencing and gate will complete the picture. You can have a peaceful Christmas without the stress. Good job. 👌🏼🎄🥂💕
I know Ann, yes we’re all sorted now thank you, and as you say, it’ll look lovely when we’ve done the finishing touches. I’m so looking forward to Christmas, especially with our little Ida….thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Oh wow Lynn it was stressful just watching that but good to see it ended well loks fab 🥰💖
Hi Coral, thank you, we’re nearly there now ❤️❤️
@@Nanna-M 🙏🥰💖
Awe Lynn that must have been awful, i remember in a past video you mentioned a leak but my god that was horrendous 😢. Just as well you heard that water in first place or consequences could have been dire with the foundations! Poor Harvey is a real trooper and after all that hard word you both deserve your holiday. You have a beautiful home and will look amazing once its all finished. I enjoyed your running commentary and was fascinating watching everything from beginning to end. Thanks for sharing your journey lovely, onward and upwards ❤❤❤
Oh Sandra, I know, if we hadn’t have heard it god knows what would have happened eventually. Harvey really is a hard worker, and thankfully knows most things about building etc, and it will look lovely when it’s all done, if ever that day comes lol. I’ll take you along on all of our projects, so thank you for watching 👀 and I hope you have a lovely weekend ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lyn it must have been fate that you decided to re new your drive otherwise the leak wouldn,t have been found. Bless Harvey & yourself. At least now the jobs a gud un. Hope your not on a water meter !!!! ❤xx
Hi Shirley, we are but the leak was before the meter thank goodness, and yes it must have been fate ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn wot a disaster but all came good in the end now enjoy ❤x
Hi Morag, yes we’re all good now thank you ❤️❤️
Love to you both must of cost a fortune good gob you are strong people xxx
Hi Carole, yes it did, but we saved lots with Harvey being able to turn his hand to quite a bit, thank god ❤️❤️❤️
Oh dear Lynn-I really feel for you and Harvey. Excellent commentary…
massive drama for you both! 😊x
Lovely job done 👏🏻👏🏻
Oh we’re ok Joanne, it’s not the first time we’ve had to deal with a nice steady away job, turning into something bigger, we just get on with it, but I’m fortunate to have a hubby that can do most things, and thank you, it’s looking much better now ❤️
Good morning Lynn. Wow that was a beer different video. I really enjoyed it. It must have been an absolute nightmare for you but you handled it brilliantly. Looking forward to seeing the finished result. It’s looking great now. Take care. Viv xx
Haha, hi Vivienne, it is isn’t it. I like to bring a variety, then you don’t get bored lol. Don’t want anymore bursts though 🫣 take care ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn that truly was a nightmare for you both. Harvey reminds me of my husband, he get's out and really works. It does get harder Ian is 76, had a big back operation but still insists on us keeping our big property. I love how it is all turning out Lynn and l did enjoy watching it all. You really were unlucky with that pipe, but truly it's lucky it was found. Thanks Lynn keep well. ❤❤
Hi Marilyn, we are very lucky to have husbands that can do this kind of stuff, not everyone can. Harvey’s a bit younger 72, I keep saying he’s 74, I don’t know why bless him haha. Exactly, it all depends on your perspective doesn’t it, I’d rather focus on the lucky 🍀 have a lovely weekend ❤️
oh i did feel for you and husband, but lucky you found it as could have been a disaster, looks lovely when it was finished
Oh we’re ok Juliene, thank goodness we found it, and it’s all been sorted out now, just a few jobs to do to finish off once the frost has gone brrrr it’s sooooo cold ❤️❤️❤️
Good morning Lynn( new sub) thanks to lovely Tina 😊.Wow as most people have said in the comments what a nightmare 😮😮😮😮.Well you’ve totally right attitude just get on with it .!! Really looking forward to seeing your next video, thank goodness for Harvey. Take care ( from London)
Oh welcome Kim, thank you for subscribing that’s awesome. Aw our lovely Tina, she’s a gem. Yes it was, but we’re fine now, and as you say, just have to get on with it. I hope the weather isn’t too cold there in the Capital…❤️
Your house is lovely 😍
Thank you Dawn ❤️
My goodness what a terrible thing to happen to you both. In the video you both seem to take it in your stride but i bet there were times when it was mayhem....Harvey is a right grafter isn't he? lol but then our generation have never been afraid of hard work so well done to both of you. It looks great and it is so nice to see the reward for all that graft...Thanks for showing us Lynn x
Hi Julie, yes we’re definitely a generation of hard workers, don’t know anything else. It was a bit testing at times, but nothing we couldn’t manage, and I’m glad I remembered to film it, and thank you for watching ❤️❤️
Oh Lynn, you poor bar...., I'm so upset for you and yr hubby, I would wish this on my worst enemy, it would floor them, how do you keep going, I feel like we need a go fund me page, God bless you, being abrit, youl soldier on❤
Aw thank you Rita, we’re fine, honestly, alls well that ends well, and it’s looking good now, and I’m filming the new fence panels going in at the moment, far too frosty yesterday and today though brrrr it’s freezing. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Lynn. Aww what a nightmare you both have had, poor harvey. Lynn did you renovate the inside of your house too, if you did have you any before pictures as to what it was like xx❤️❤️❤️
Hi June, yes we’ve done the downstairs, lounge/kitchen as seen on my videos, but all that was done before I started UA-cam. I think I might have some photos, so I’ll,have a look. We still have lots to do, but I’ll,be taking you all with me on every project..❤️❤️❤️
Great video Lynn. Poor you & your husband all that work, it’s a good job you found it though. It’s going to look amazing when you’ve finished it with the new fence and painted gates. Did you say you were having a new dining room? Would love to see the work on that too, keep your videos coming and thank you for sharing ❤
Hi Maria, thank you, and yes it’s definitely lucky that we found it. I’m filming replacing the fence, and the dining room is an extension that we’ll be doing next spring/summer, and I will be filming for everyone… thank you for watching ❤️❤️❤️

Oh Lynn bet your glad it’s finished 🎉 and it looks lovely it’s nice to see a transformation! ❤
Hi Pauline, yes I like to watch renovation videos, that’s one of the reasons I like to watch Maxine Georgina, they do quite a lot. I’m filming replacing the fencing at the moment, but frost has stopped play for now ❤️❤️❤️
Oh wow! It looks amazing now. Its just as well you found the leak before it was all finished! What a horrible time you had and you still managed to film it for us. You both have worked so hard xx
Thank you Susan, no it wasn’t good, but we’re all good now, and it’ll be nice once it’s all finished ❤️❤️❤️
Omg Lynn, what a nightmare you've had. But at least now the worst is over and you can look forward to everything looking beautiful next spring and summer ❤
Exactly Jean, it’ll all be nice and ready for some nice hanging baskets, and I’ll look forward to doing those. ❤️❤️❤️
Jeez Lynne that’s some story, I watched from beginning to end and felt for you both poor Harvey also but so pleased your almost there and a lovely feeling now the worst is over 🙏 you did a tremendous job filming and editing this video and good to look back on hopefully. Thanks all of you 👏
Hi Carol, aw did you, thank you. I know, poor Harvey, he was shattered, working in the pouring rain, especially digging etc, it’s not fun, he’s always been a hard worker. And yes, we’re on the right side of it thank goodness, these things happen don’t they, nothing we can do, so we just have to get on with it. It’s looking so nice now, I’m filming the new fence going in at the moment, but this frost has stopped us for now, far too cold lol 🥶I hope your coping with this weather ❤️❤️
It looks lovely have you lived there long
We’ve had the house for a long time, but rented it out for years and moved back just about when Covid started, been renovating ever since ❤️🌹❤️
@@Nanna-M it is lovely
Oh dear xx
It’s all sorted now thanks ❤️❤️❤️
❤
❤️🌹❤️
Why couldn’t they put a camera down , that what they did at my son’s house to find a leaking pipe. Fortunately we didn’t have to pay because the pipe was damaged by the cable company when they were running cable.
They couldn’t even attend for 2 days so we didn’t want to leave it so long, and when they did, they said it wasn’t their responsibility, anyway it’s all been sorted now, so I won’t dwell on it, new year, new beginnings ❤️❤️❤️ I’m glad your son managed to get help ❤️❤️❤️
❤🙏❤
Thank you Nan ❤️❤️❤️
What a catastrophe You must have been totally hacked off. Not to mention the expense. Lynn go to Tesco clothing department for soma retail therapy. That’s the only solution to get you over the stress 😂😂
Oh hahaha Pauline, I don’t need an encouragement to do that, my number one favourite activity lol ❤️ I’ll be going tomorrow for some food, pray for me 🥰🥰🥰
