Lecture 19 - Approaches to Visual Perception - 2

How the brain was able to take the information sensed by the eyes and turn it into an accurate, internal representation of the surrounding world? The possible mechanisms to address this issue isn't well explained in Gibson's approach.
In this lecture, we will address the gap in Gibson's approach by introducing Marr's information processing approach, where he talked about the analysis of retinal image in four distinct states, viz., Grey level description, Primal sketch, 2.5D sketch and 3D object centered description.
