In 85 I got a chrome Hutch Pro Racer. Everything was Hutch except for the Redline Flight 401s and the Suntour Bear Claw pedals. The Hutch pedals were DANGEROUS. Had graphite Tuffs, an Elina seat with a layback post, a Zeronine plate, and black Comp IIIs with the gumwall. badass bike.
Very cool video. It was rock star status when an older kid pulled up at the jumps with a Quad Angle or a PK Ripper, or better yet a Hutch with 3 pc cranks. Epic times.
my first bike was a stingray...the old ones...my dad had it since he was a kid...we put some cw bars on it and changed the seat and post...done...I destroyed that thing by the time I was 12. I got a schwinn predator(the low end one) for my birthday....51 now and still ride(flatland, some street) but I've had so many bikes over the years...everything from a stu-thompson huffy to a kuwahara magician to a gt pro freestyle tour tema model....to a hoffman(had to get those love handles too) etc...etc... I didn't ever buy any bike from the bash guard era....fuck that..now I'm ridin an Autum bikes frame and a whole skew of after market parts...bmx has turned into skateboarding that way...no one make a good complete bike anymore.
Wow, the design elements were insane back in the day, but we took it all for granted at the time. BMX bikes all look the same today and just typing their names into your browser invites legal scrutiny (Cult, Stolen, Kink et al). Thank you for this technicolor flashback of epic beauty.
Sweet rides, thanx 4 the flashbacks into me teens. Luv the BLK, VDC freestyle, she’s gorgeous n has great jewelry to accentuate her class. I purchased a VDC Pro Pit, frame/fork set with their wicked assed Gorilla layed back seatpost & bars set on a ESP neck with sealed Shimano bearings headset n bottom bracket. Skyway mini tuff wheels with tri-comp tires. All BLK n Crome, half n half mix brake calipers n brake handles down to offset cable colors n brake adjustment nutz. Oakley B1B’s with 3 foam ringz for comfort n a custom Uni-Seat with padded cover. Last to complete all the overlapping bars n welds is a set o Proline Flight Cranks n Hutch Bear 🐻 trapz ta get gnarly on the track n quarter pipe or jammin around town Thanx again

Some seriously nice rides at this show.
The Profile horseshoe pedals with the pins are very cool.

Hell yeahs. I had two Kuwahara's. Good friend had a Hutch. Loved that bike.
Of all these bikes, the PK Ripper stands out as a timeless design. I wouldn't mind having one, that's doe sure, and would ride it, too.
A classic for real
Just picked up a PK Ripper 20" Vans edition. Sick bike.
Great video lots of awesome bikes
Thank you for sure

My pleasure! Thanks for watching
What's going on at 4:42? Rube Goldberg brakes that contact the tire instead of the rim?
Yea, hadn't seen anyone try that on BMX before, not sure how well it works, but interested

Wow, that Webco at 2:22. My first real bike. I miss that fella - got stolen right off my own damn porch.
two thumbs down for bike thieves
What are them cranks and pedals at the 4:30 mark..looked like feet and shins bones
I think they're VDC
Never thought a 15 mins video would have 7 or 8 ads and commercials......
Why do they ruin UA-cam like that
Man The ole WEBCO,,, cracked a few of those frame lol
and you lived to talk about it!

That's cool you kept it all these years!
any shows close to texas?
I've seen footage from some Texas events, but don't know any details. You could check the Events forum at bmxmuseum.com
Channel 43?! Instant sub on # alone..
Thanks again
I remember riding to school after taking the mags off my mongoose and putting on some alloy
Those Motomags were super heavy, switching to alloys must have felt great
Such a shame you didn’t include those 2 26 inch Bassett star cruisers
Yea man, tough to get them all, maybe next time
43😉👍🏼
That’s my old profile prostyler. I wish I didn’t sell that thing😢
Re-upped due to copyright claim

Modern bikes with the tiny front sprocket and the seat slammed to the frame look insanely stupid
The modern imitation PK Ripper is a joke compared to a real PK.
Both junk honestly
