How does mRNA vaccine play into this? " After the second shot, IgG4 begins to show up. This gets worse with the breakthrough infections, then it gets worse again with the third shot. Now we have updated findings from breakthrough infections after the third shot. On average, the four who had a breakthrough infection after their booster are now at 42.45% IgG4. The cohort as a whole is at 19.27%, up from just 0.04%, so the ones who haven’t had a breakthrough infection yet will end up at a similar position: A response that is entirely IgG4 dominated." What does this mean in regards to igG4- related disease?
I am a non vax after they tested for covic 19 up my nose, my nose burned for 3 days then in 30 days I started showing igg4 but it was not until almost 7 years that they diagnosed it as igg5. They test the salava glads
Thank you Dr for this. I have IgG4 RD ...of my pancreas(&now diabetes and EPI), kidneys, bile ducts and they're just checking my lungs as I have severe asthma. I have been diagnosed for about 20 year's. I'm now 44. But this was really interesting to listen to. I've never found anyone else with IgG4 RD(in UK)
Hi 👋 Hi can we talk about igg4 disease. I am new to this disease 😢 I am 35 yrs old mother of 4 kids and very very scared. Did you had any more test for igg4? Any biopsy or I don't know.... anything.... I will have biopsy on July . I don't know what to do ,what to think just crying at the moment. How high is your igg4 pls.
@minicraftslearnplay3509 Hi, I'm sorry you're going through this . I did have a pancreas biopsy right back when I was about 22/23 y/o. At the time my bile ducts were blocked and it was affecting my liver and pancreas (I have IgG4 chronic pancreatitis) and gallbladder. I had my gallbladder out and was initially treated with prednisolone. I respond very severely mentally to pred(but I think it's first line of treatment)so got changed to something I forgot name of. I was then given NHS funding for Rituximab which really helped the IgG4 stuff but last year it triggered a severe asthma attack so I'm now on methotrexate. That's ok for the IgG4 stuff but I get lots of sore throats and chest infections. What organs is it affecting for u? My worst IgG4 level that I ever knew was 10, UK numbers, but with regular treatment it's generally kept in range about 1-1.3.
R u in UK? Ps...a little hope....there's much more treatment available now than when I first got diagnosed that hopefully will be able to help u! The diabetes is my most problematic problem and my asthma (but asthma not IgG4)
@deeb4731 I'm waiting for another visit to the hospital and a biopsy. Can you answer these questions for me, please? 🙏 1. how high was your igg4? 2. Do you follow a diet or eat everything normally? 3. Do you take any medications for life? 4. How long have you been living with this disease? 5. Do you take steroids? 6. How are you doing with this disease? Please please ,can you give me answer for this 6 question?
@minicraftslearnplay3509 1-i think my worst IgG4 level was 10 (it's now stays in normal range mostly with meds) 2-i have diabetes (insulin controlled) and epi. I'm supposed to take an enzyme creon with every meal but am very rubbish 3-yep meds for life but it becomes normal after a while 4-26 years 5-Not now for IgG4...only for asthma exacerbation. I had Rituximab infusions but made my asthma bad, so now on methotrexate 6- The meds help lots...my biggest issue is the diabetes (trying to control it) and my asthma which isn't IgG4. I get tired a lot 😴 and pick up chest infections easily becos of weakened immune system and asthma but I'm doing pretty well in the scheme
I have elevated IGG4 blood levels. Had my gall bladder out but, have bile duct predominance. Terrible stomach pain (had Nissen Fundlwplication 10 months ago) and severed left side back and side pain. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. I have multi organ granulomas, Asthma, COPD and many other issues. Is this something that I could have?
My wife has this ... ive had to quit work to look after her ... its hard because shes convinced no one believes her ... i can tell you now my wife dosent lie .... i need help from anyone who can give advise
Due to extensive pulmonary sclerosis and plural effusion, I was initially diagnosed as having Erdheim Chester disease. It required several more tests and two biopsy's to reach the conclusion that my pulmonary condition Is probably an IgG4-rd.I have symptoms indicating both ailments but do not have common genetic markers usually associated with ECD and it has been pretty much ruled out. That being said, I lack most common symptoms that are generally found in cases of IgG4-rd.
It depends which organs it affects and can be well controlled by meds. I've been diagnosed for 26 years...my pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and kidneys affected but was treated with Rituximab infusions (but it caused a severe asthma attack) so now on methotrexate
