This breathed life onto smouldering embers, burned down from family commitments and work in a cubicle. Just discovered my trailer yacht still floats, and local adventures are calling. See you on the water. Thanks to Don and MGR team for the inspiration. Where there is smoke there can easily be fire. Best wishes & good luck to all, Gavin.
I am a life long sailor, and spent 2 years sailing around the world. Whilst this race intrigues me, and good on them, I hope there is some significant safety inspections done, and all participants have good insurance to recover them in the event of an issue. The boats seem strong, and the course is not taking them into the worst blows in the southern Ocean, but so many things can go wrong in such a small boat, sailing single-handed when just a broken finger could become a life threatening incident.
Dear Don, today I discovered this (small) great project. I will spend the whole weekend on board my old 32 ft reading all the documentation on the website. I don't know how, I don't know when, but I'm sure that sooner or later we will meet. For any need in Italy you can count on me
hahah NO and only one..woop woop...it is NOT meant to be the fastest but it does need to be strong, simple, reliable, to race solo around the world ! and easy to build :) perfect!

How much does it cost from start to finish to build one of these boats? +-

Very cool boats. One design - the best and fairest way to race.
