As the owner of an almost 2 year old Brittany ive been having this nagging feeling i need to get my boy a friend. This video sealed it for me. I loved every day with my boy as a pup. Im getting him a sister.
BEAUTIFUL DOGS, nothing more beautiful than a Brittany but their energy - just make sure you keep up with training. I had a male and female myself, the male was an AKC Champion and, Shira my female was AKC pointed. They were the best dogs I ever had and I miss them like a brother or sister, they were so loving.
Hello, Is Rooney fixed? If so, would you mind answering when he was? We just got a Brittany about 3 weeks ago and there’s just so much controversy on the topic 😅appreciate it.
Roo was about 6 months older. Honestly not much of a difference. I think maybe males have more energy, and can be more aggressive if they dont run as much as they need.
Any words of advice you would give to people who are thinking about adding another Brittany into their lives? We have one wonderful female Brittany (1 and a half years old) and we are looking to add a new male (both fixed). Any pros and cons from your experience?
I think its a great idea adding another one. From my experience they love having another companion. I recommend keeping them together as much as possible so their bond will grow stronger. We put our two together in a large cage when they sleep. The are inseparable now.
Keep an eye on their heart. If they GAG AND COUGH for no apparent reason have YOUR VET do an X-ray of their hearts. Mine was only turned 6 yrs. He was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and died from a massive heart attack the next day, this was the second time I lost my babies to heart problems. And they went every six months for their health check ups, I WAS DEVISTAED. GIVE THEM TURINE A HEART SUPPLEMENT WITH THEIR FOOD WHEN THEY ARE PUPPIES AND FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. MY HUSBANDS COUSIN IS A VET, AND SHE LOST HER SHELTIE BECAUSE OF THIS. SHE HAS 13 DOGS, 6 CATS, AMINATURE PONY, THAT WAS BLIND IN ONE EYE. TOOK HER BABY TO A VET IN PITTSBURGH. SO WATCH FOR THIS GAGGING THEN A SMALL COUGHING.
The liver and white Brittany is so beautiful ❤

That is a great idea!
I have a 6 year old tri color, just love my little girl. Britt's are the best.
Piper two years ago looked and acted like my puppy, Sparky, who now is nine. I hope both your Britts are doing great. Fun video to watch.

How old was Roo when you got Piper? Any big differences between the male and the female?
