Bachmann Large Scale Dash 9 DCC Soundtraxx Install

This video is on my install of the Soundtraxx Tsunami DCC board. I made some modifications on the boards function hook ups so I could control the smoke unit via the NCE throttle.
I moved the wire controlling the “safety” lights and added them to the F6 connector on the DCC board so the ditch lights and the safety lights come on with the Function F27 key on the NCE controller.
So I moved the smoke unit wire to the F4 connector on the DCC board so I can control the with the Function F24 key on the throttle.

Yes, the Soundtraxx Blunami has function selections for crew talk. I believe it’s function 21 or 22. If you use the Blinami app you’ll see the selections there.

Thank you. Very useful i just got one and will do battery and blunami I think so I think the wiring will be similar. I will be interested in the current draw under load when you run, but love the loco and your channel, so thank you for this video and your helpful insights!

I’ll get that amp draw info when I run the engine on the layout. I have an amp meter on back order with Yankee Dabbler. But we use Aristo power supplies and they have amp meters built into them.
