When Dr. Greg Veeman brings up the Apostles Paul conversion, after years of considering evidences for Christianity, the conversions of the early skeptics always hits me the most.
How do we explain someone who is supporting Christian's being killed to being someone who is being persecuted as a Christian?
How do we explain Jesus' brother James. In the gospels, Jesus' brothers think he is nuts with his messianic claims. Yet, his brother James goes on to be martyred for his faith and the mardydom of James is recorded in the Antiquties of Josephus, the most trusted first century Jewish historian.
Or how about the change in the apostles?
Why does Peter deny Jesus in the New Testament, but then go on to be martyred for Christ?
The martydom of Peter is historically verfied in Clement's letter to the Corinthians in the first centry.
Clement being a first century bishop in Rome.
The best explaination for all of these radical changes is the resurrection of Jesus from the Dead. His resurrection provided undeniable evidence for his claims.
So, even his own family who thought he was off his rocker went on to proclaim him as Lord.
As his brother wrote in James:
James, a Servant of God and of The Lord Jesus Christ.
Or in James 2 : My brothers, sho no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of Glory

@MykolasGilbert You need to have the CONTEXT for this request. Basically, the rich young "ruler" was trusting his MONEY for salvation. Jesus wanted him to "realize " that, so made the request of just that young man. Jesus knows everyone personally. He addresses everyone according to their particular need. Always keep in mind the details of a passage from ANYWHERE in the Bible must be understood in the CONTEXT where it's found.

Seek God and his truth will be revealed especially with all the information and ability to discern between truth and false at the tip of our hands
My doctor said he did not believe in GOD,I went to him and he said I had arthritis on my hip bone,it was very hard to walk,the x ray showed calcification,then at church the preacher prayed for me,I went back to him and the second x ray showed completely clear of arthritis,that is when he said he cannot explain it and that arthritis patients only get worse,he said it was GOD,that was over 30 years ago and I AM STILL COMPLETELY CLEAR OF ANY ARTHRITIS,THANK YOU JESUS.
I had the same thing happen to me but God did not do anything. My own body which has natural healing healed it. There have been done lots of tests around the world with praying for people who were in hospital with a dissase and for placebo groups who they did not pray for. Praying did not make any difference to the people in hospital they prayed for. Many tests like this have been done around the world all ineffectieve. Dont spread lies
I have arthritis in knees and degenerative disc disease in my spine that forced me to have a spinal fusion 5 years ago. I am a born again believer and believe in healing but I haven’t been healed yet. I’m still expecting to be healed. Please pray for the healing of my husband, oldest daughter, my friend Suzy and I who suffer with a lot of pain. We all believe in miracles 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I was raised an atheist at a time when it was not nearly as common as it is now here in the USA. I too had a miraculous encounter with God that caused me to seek the truth and I accepted Jesus as my Savior. It has been about 54 years since then and I have been with Him ever since.

The conversion of Paul the Apostle is just one peice of evidence supporting Christianity that doesn't support Judaism. There is a person I know, he was a friend until I was asked to join him in business. I quit my job of 7 years, joined him and the second day of my new job without having any training, no clue on what I was doing just yet he arrived on site and just had the darkest eyes. His entire demeanor was that of a different being. He swore and screamed and just went off at me , I was so confused thinking I was being pranked to be honest. He knew I was a Christian and he has always blaspheme around me even with knowing this. His blasphemy was through the roof, he is a worldly wealthy person, exactly as this man described himself, arrogant, prideful, always right. Always buying things, going on trips. Needless to say I quit and to this day pray he to will have this change by the Grace of God and find true happiness and freedom from sin.
Be not unequally yoked together. That applies to both marriage and business.

I used to be atheist. It's all demonic. The hatred, especially to Christians, is just the manifestation of demonic influence in their lives. They are angry, hateful and seek to be stumbling blocks because that's what Satan wants. They try to confuse or convert Christians and they don't even know why they do it
I will pray for you and your daughter. I know your pain. My daughter has turned from God and thinks she is now an athirst. She had a bad marriage and allowed hatred and resentment to enter her heart. From there the devil took hold of her heart and her mind. Pray for her too.

God tried to reach me out. I was blind in the darkness. Took 13 years to change my mind from atheist to believe there is a god. And one day I asked this God about who is Jesus . And HE answered to me 😮. He told me Jesus is expression of His love . Literally. Next day someone sent me a Bible on my language . A few weeks something ( HS) pushed me into a church service and I got people who helped me to know more about Him. I could not resist to fall in love with Him.
I wanted Him and I wanted to give what I have . I took His invitation and make it Him as my Lord. Repented that many many sins what I did and took His forgiveness and beg Him for change me .
It was 20 years ago. I am 64 now and still under construction and I am so thankful for His mercy and grace. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ. ❤

I can understand how you feel like this( as I once did) but the whole world at the moment is laying in the power of the wicked one and is misleading many, so there is evil everywhere, but one day every knee will bow at the name of Jesus and those of us who know Him now have a peace inside that surpasses all understanding- until you know the Lord Jesus and trust God you can’t understand why bad things are allowed to continue, but I trust in the One who came to die for me on that cross. I love it! This is my testimony and is 100% true. I was on a bad marriage and so depressed, had slipped back into addiction and decided to end it all. I traveled to my favor restaurant for one last meal. I had made a plan amd was going to drive out of town to end it all. While sitting at the table an old man walked in and sat down in front of me. He then said " i was driving on the interstate when i got this feeling to pull into the restaurant". Then he said " I dont know why but I need to pray with you, because you are about to do something and make a horrible mistake". I broke down and told him about everything. We were both in shock and just kind of sat there. He ended up leaving but oh man let me tell you my life has never been the same.

I was raised catholic and had a lot of issues with it so I stopped being catholic and didn’t have a religion for decades. I struggled with everything under the sun as well, Trauma, mental health issues and physical health issues and had basically given up on myself. Then someone introduced me to Christian music and I slowly started to open my ears and heart to God. I still consider myself a baby in Christ but being saved was the best day of my life. It truly was a new life. I always tell anyone willing to hear or not lol that God saved my life and I’m a walking testimony of his love and mercy. I am a gentile in my late 60s. Grew up in a good Bible believing church. Had an agnostic period during Navy enlistment. Regained faith. Generally read Bible. Over time studied Bible more and more. At age 55 realized I respected God but did not really fully love God. Changed to having a childlike faith in God. Presently having desire for Judaic and secular Jews to accept Jesus (Yeshua) as the Messiah. One for Israel is a good source learning about converting Jews. Secular Jews are more likely converted if they read New Testament (Hebrew version available). They realize that NT is almost completely written by Jews except for Luke. Most times Judaic Jews refuse to be converted. You pray for their conversion. They do not believe that Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies that He is truly the Messiah (or that He will return one day and fulfill the seemingly idyllic prophecies). They cannot believe that Jesus, God, and Their Spirit is One God. Keep on praying for these Jews.
I can love Jesus as a Jew. From the moment he was born to the very minute of his death , Jesus was Jewish.
I believe he still is. There is no contradiction to bring a Jew and loving Jesus.

Jesus is son of the Father in heaven and is the way the truth and the life. When we look back through scripture; even from Genesis to Malachi, then from John the Baptist to Jesus himself in Revelation it is clear that God is revealing himself ever more over time. Where we make an explanation in minutes; God is making one over thousands of years. Jesus is the most clear representation of the heart of the Father that the world has ever seen.

Jesus never said he was God Philippians 2:6 He was created by God Colossians 1:15 says he is the image of the invisible God The first born of of creation. God had no creation but Jesus was the first born of everything. Firstborn of all the angels ,The universe, earth. He was sent down to earth to express Gods love and to tell about Gods Kingdom. Jesus rules over the earth along with the 144,000 holy ones bought or redeemed by God from the earth for the 1,000 years and then Jesus hand the kingdom back to God. He will still be the ruler of earth but it belongs to God. Everything belongs to God

You need to remember, the New Testament removed the Jews and Gentiles. Gala 3:12, Colos 3:28 "We are all one in Christ Jesus." Jews are no more special to God than the Japanese. Rom 2:28 and several more passages across the New Testament. The Word of God was NEVER meant to be holed up in a little area of the world. You are either a Christian now or you are not. There are only 2 categories. Sheep and goats.

I have a friend who decided to get a Bible and a marker to highlight every thing wrong in the Bible. She became a Christian convert and I met her in my Bible Study Fellowship class.

As a doctor you should dial in on a doctor’s explanation of the crucifixion, from the time He was arrested until he rose. There are Emergency docs who have gone over that time period in painful, frightful and heartbreaking detail. The reason you didn’t see that patient was because it was an angel!

My life was a horrid mess! with a mostly absent husband, first infant was premature and
only lived 2 days, two young daughters at the time I looked out and .... planning my suicide
..... said.to the night sky = "If there's a God He oughta do something 'cause I'm all DONE."
~ rolled over in bed and THERE Jesus WAS on the cross dying for my ugly sins.... I said
"NO I"M NOT WORTH IT ! DON"T DO THAT !" And sobbed and sobbed at His loving
sacrifice for me ! Seconds = or minutes = or hours later He poured such huge peace and
love into my heart ~. and it's still there. ~. I now know it's the Holy Spirit ! He forgave
me completely and Now I can hardly wait to see my Savior again =. and. FOREVER !!!

for many years .... can still hardly wait to 'give this life up' and be physically IN
the presence of my Savior !!! Until then = we travel / give out the precious Gospel

The simplest question on earth ever is: Why would the followers of Christ and disciples suffer torture, persecution, execution if Christ wasn't real and it was all a lie?
The better question is, what is the naturalist explanation for more than 2 people hallucinating the same vision? Because that is where the historians are stuck. Trying to figure out how did so many eyewitnesses all experience the same exact event with a Resurrected Jesus.

That is so beautiful and so exciting how God got a hold of this precious man & his family. When he said, a patient came in and asked him does he haveJesus Christ as his savior and then couldn’t find his chart. That got him for sure because he was visited by an angel. Wow!

i would suggest u do some research on your own dont listen to ppl form ur own opinions and most of all why not try talk with God if u dont believe that is kind of a shortcut. The ones i post is not for Jesus then u have to go look at greek documents that both have eyewitness accounts and pre and after resurrection etc.

So the 4 Gospels are 4 documents written by 4 different authors written between 20 years and 65 years after Jesus was Resurrected. Moreover the writings are either direct eyewitnesses or people who interviewed eyewitnesses. Then there are the writings of Paul, which are considered even more reliable than the 4 Gospels.
There is no one, literally no one in antiquity who has that many writings from different authors so close to their lifetime, and any eyewitness testimony. Although, I could be wrong as I don't claim to have read every figure of antiquity.
The first historical writings for Buddha are 300-600 years after his death.
For Alexander the Great, the earliest record is a single text 200+ years after Alexander's death, the author was not a eyewitnesses nor did he interview eyewitnesses.
Coming back to Jesus, aside from the 4 Gospels, and the letters of Paul, non-biblical works that are considered sources for the historicity of Jesus include two mentions in Antiquities of the Jews ('Testimonium Flavianum', Jesus' own brother James) by Jewish historian and Galilean military leader Josephus (dated circa 93-94 CE) and a mention in Annals by Roman historian Tacitus (circa 116 CE). No such independent writings that early for Buddha or Alexander.
