That looks really classy. You did a great job explaining this entire video. I even learned how to raise my struts as a result. Thank you. I was trying to figure out how my new snow tires will fit on aftermarket struts and found your video..
When you lift with those struts the higher up the strut goes the higher up the car goes so the extension is pushing the body up higher so you use limit straps to hold it down

Ok so i have a Lesabre too. Im going 26s and i was going to order the same universal car lift as well. So you’re saying go out and buy some limit straps or turnbuckles so the cv joints won’t bind like his?
welp....This was 3 years ago, car is still fine. I mean, common sense, the wheels are MUCH heavier so Im driving it easy, not pushing it or beating on the trans. As far as the speedo, yea thats about 10mph off.
i see where u went wrong with the front struts, you're not suppose to lift it from the bottom unless u drop the sub-frame. i see where they extended the lower strut mount and i had that problem too, it wears out your axles, thats why your steering wheel was shaking. to do it right, u have to cut the weld off of the spring plate, slide the plate UP no more than 2 inches and weld it back to the strut. THEN put your coil springs on and mount it back to the car. it rides so smooth on 24s that you can barely tell they are on the car.
Ari Reid That is what happened with this car, the front axles are binding up because they are pinched on too much of an angle, that’s why I ripped it all out and did it the way I did.
