the hotel got INSANELY revamped, and MORE VISITORS has come.
yall notice how every guiding light song/sound effect uses more string instruments like guitars but curious light always uses softer and quieter percussion instruments like marimbas and xylophones..
i wonder what they'll do with the third light (mischievous light?? idk)
the crucifix ring shown on the floor has writings that mentions "three architects", so guiding, curious and theres one more
Maybe there won't be a 3rd light, guiding light will help our player in the main floors (floor 1, 2 and maybe others)
And curious light is following and watching our player in the subfloors (the rooms, the backdoors)

In door 60, there is (or used to be, idk, last time i saw it wasnt there anymore??) a painting with a bright yellow star. after the hunt update (iirc), the same painting was updated to have a tiny blue star with a moon on the middle, and a tiny red star with the modifier symbol on the middle
The crucifix's sigil mentions "Three architects", so my theory is:
guiding light, uhh, guides the player (duh)
curious light apparently can dimension hop between subfloors (rooms, backdoor) and always is trying to get information on the deaths of the player
And what if (altough non canon), this third light controls the entities and maybe is the one causing these attacks? if it has the power to change their behaviour, then it probably controls them aswell

curious light makes sense to be in subfloors due to you needing the curiosity to even find the subfloors (going outside to find the backdoor and going through the walls to find rooms)
theres not much room for a third light unless its one thats trying to harm you or something

My head cannon for this game is
The hotel: Built in 1700s, abandoned
The rooms: Magical rooms from a different dimension entering the hotel within the 60s
The backdoor: Used as a bunker for a war (maybe)
Floor 2: A mineshaft used for mining materials made in the 1600s
Edit: I'm getting replies of the hotel around ww2 so probably 1900s
I think it would be built a lot later than the 1700s, seeing as elevators and a lot of other tech inside of the hotel wasn't invented until the late 1800s. I like your theories about the rooms and the backdoor though

my head cannon for doors and it's subrooms and the milestones is this:
The outside of the Hotel: Cracked up island formed by a magical source
The Hotel (lobby): Abandoned still powering hotel
The Hotel: entire hotel built all the way back around Ww2.
Jeff Shop: Built by 2 creatures recently.
The Rooms: An opened up dimension by a magical source.
The Infirmary: Abandoned Ww2 Hospital
The greenhouse: Dead plants due to abandoned hotel.
Electrical room: used to connect the power to different levels of the hotel
The Mines: used to find resources or used to make storage and extend the hotel.
The Backdoor: To power up the generators or used as a bunker. But the backdoor will mostly be for powered things.
Backdoor was confirmed to be some sort of storage/basement
Curious Light: Unforntunately, once you come in you will never get out
why woud curious light lie about that…. Wait nvm the path to the hotel is in shambles ok

Yo guys did you know that Dread is a "white" and "blue" sponge face with hole eyes and mouths. which only appears on door 13. if you wait for 12AM at room 0, go to room 13, if this is it he'll spawn making your vision go black and white and the lights will go blackout and you hear dread's whispers means that he is chasing you. If you go to the next room, he will disappear. If you stay for too long with dread, he will flashes and kills you. If you have a crucifix, dread can be crucified leading dread glitched and screaming.
(FUN FACT)
Fact 1: Dread used to be in hotel+update in the removed sneak peak/sneak peak 2.
Fact 2: In the wiki, they say that dread is a concept entity that he was supposed to be in the hotel update.
Fact 3 (FINALLE): Dread was a unreleased doors entity but he was on the wiki page.

Why are people saying “floor 2” when your going down, isn’t that floor 0/lobby i mean saying the mines makes sense cuz it underground but floor 2?
The Backdoor and The Hotel are on the same floor, but the lobby is in between floor 0/1 (the backdoor & the hotel) & floor 2 (the mines). This would make sense, because we see the elevator going down, not up, because of figure. So technically, The Backdoor is not a separate floor, hence why it's called "The Backdoor."
