I feel like Aris' streaming mindset is so much more forward-thinking - you can see the mental pressure all these other streamers put themselves under by trying to chase success. His channel is about him doing what he wants to do and what he enjoys. It's all well and good going after success at any cost but it's also a quick route to burning yourself out
Aris is a strait shooter keeps it real takes notice of the chat he knows his community and most importantly doesnt compromise for success ironic that made him successful
@@j_skillet5399 mabye there is but i think mabye if they had the means and motivation to get on a platform they would make a difference im thinking of doing myself soon
@@j_skillet5399 there’s plenty of streamers out like him. I’ve been mainly looking at small streamers (10-60 viewers) and the experience is so much better
I've been watching Aris since 2012, around the time tag 2 launched. I also have been a mod on his channel since 2015. Aris' channel grew because of his authentic personality. He always played the games he enjoyed and never chased trends or forced himself to play 'the hot new thing'. He never tried hard, never had any stream overlays and he still uses the same 10 year old camera despite being a top 100 streamer on the site.
Funny, when that map of Twitch communities came out one of the streamers also compared it to school lunch tables and got butthurt that she's not sitting at Aris's table.
He was doing this long before people were doing collab streams to share viewers. Technically the annoying Among Us collab streamers were the one's breaking the mold.
It's why I watch him- all the trend-chasers and engagement-drivers are fucking vapid- it's so obvious that most of them don't give a fuck about what they're playing. It's the Twitch version of UA-cam clickbait.
Try watching a stream of your favourite UA-camr playing Among Us and you can tell that they're trying so hard to be entertaining because they're in it to make content and money, which is not really a bad thing per se, but one of the reasons why Aris' streams are so fun to watch is because you can feel him genuinely being a fun guy, and that there's not too many moments in his streams where he runs out of things to talk about and is just silent for a few minutes, unlike most streamers out there. You can also feel his genuine hatred when he says "shut the fuck up bitch"
I totally agreed with what he said about the streamers just talking to their friends on a discord call and that being the stream. So much about twitch is about their semi-celebrity interpersonal cliquey social circles and it's very strange that people find it entertaining
The day I see Aris do some kind of collab stream or he's playing a game with other people and talking to them via discord or some shit will be such a shocker. And not even in a bad way. It'd be interesting to see, though.
His thoughts on this topic are really interesting, and you can tell he's being sincere about doing things because they're fun and not because they'd be beneficial to his "career". Aris has created a very unique space in the internet and he seems to appreciate it as much as his fans do :)
Doing whatever is popular can definitely lead to short term success but the burnout effect is like 10x so people break down easily. It’s much easier on your body and mind to just do what you enjoy.
Funniest thing is... while a mainstream platform won’t broadcast a guy like aris. Your favorite streamers definitely know about him and respect him. It’s a small world, this streaming community, and when Aris is involved, the smaller the better.
If he did do a co stream, him and the mods would be reacting rambo from all the shooting. Newbies dont get second chances and are shot on first sight. Would be good for streamer drama.
The closest Aris ever got to a collab was when he had people over his house to play Tekken and they were actually all in the same room and on camera. Online Twitch collabs take attention away from the audience and I think that's why he's Avoiding The Collabs
To me, aris has the mentality of an action hero from a movie. If he has to ask someone for fun, it's not cool. he has to make his own fun. Fuck partners. Lone wolf for lyfe
Aris is dope. No need to collab. Keep it to your audience and you in control for the entertainment. 4:35 True. Those other streamers try to make it like "Real World" MTV style show. 8:15 insane in the membrane. BoneThugs
The problem with colabs is that you can’t just say nah of you aren’t feeling it. There is now a sense of responsibility or obligation. That’s what sucks about it. Can’t be free to do what you want.
Isn't isolating it's own kind of meta though? If everyone would just play the same shit together all the time, that just get's stale so it's better to have those isolated channels to go back to.
Your network is your net worth. Aris being a solo show on a completely automated platform that infinitely scales his product for free is as edge case as it gets. And even he has a business associate (n0pants).
The Twitch meta of the moment is usually smart as hell to draw in people, but damn does it feel like a scripted sitcom it's 7th season in after the first few days.
Small community streams are just different and can be more entertaining for it. I don't think it's uncool or anything to collab but it's a matter of what the streamer wants. Like he said, it's about how he feels about it.
I love aris’ content and these UA-cam videos as is, but you remember when he used to have people over to play games and stream it? Seems like a long time ago
When I watch a stream i watch it for that streamer. If I wanted to see someone else I'd watch that stream. It sucks to have a streamer you like constantly collab with a streamer you think is annoying.
For me, Aris is the gold standard of streamers.
