I think it’s sweet and comforting to keep sentimental items in your handbag. They keep you grounded, remind you of the people you love, and they somehow last forever.
Fun video! I have a keychain from Italy that I’ve had for years. I don’t keep anything very unusual in my bag, but just started keeping a zip up pouch with essentials, it makes it SO much easier to switch handbags when everything isn’t loose and jangling around. Thank you Jennifer! 👛 👜💕
It's always fun to see what others carry each day! A few things I carry include, contact solution, contacts case, bandaids, ginger chews, a magnetic purse hook and a coin purse. I carry the contacts in case I have an issue with the ones I am wearing or if I cannot get home, yes this has happened we used to get horrible mudslides blocking the only way home! A bandaid, because I have kids lol, ginger chews for upset stomach or travel sickness and I love having a coin purse, it's so great to keep all that together. The purse hook is for tables and going places where you might not want your purse too far from you or on the floor!
I personally released myself from carrying a large bag a year ago. Now I use a cross body clutch, which doubles as a wallet and holds my cards, phone, keys, sunglasses and a lipstick/gloss/balm. It also has a zip up compartment for change. I'm rarely out long enough to need much more than that. However.... I still love looking at handbags and "what's in my bag" videos haha! Love your channel ❤
Such lovely items you carry with you Jennifer! I also keep a vinyl envelope for receipts. I always know where they are in the event they’re needed. I also keep a small decorative tape measure on a reel. I’m a sewist and it comes in very handy at times!
I always have a USB. I’ve never regretted having it and I’m always glad I have it when I need it. But then my purse is also my diaper bag, cute and chic but full of baby things. Thank you for the video, great inspiration.
I always keep paper soap and travel tissues in my bag, especially when I’m traveling, attending public events, etc. I’ve ran into too many instances where basic supplies like this aren’t available when needed! Also, I always have hand sanitizer, a pen, compact/mirror, chapstick/gloss/or a lipstick, a hair tie, my wallet or a card holder, keys, and phone, and sometimes my sunglasses. When I have a bag like the size you are showing or larger, I like to include a mini first-aid kit (including bandaids and tylenol), mini sewing kit, small travel size sunscreen, mini umbrella depending on the season, sometimes a few more cosmetics like travel size mascara, etc. I also don’t like to leave the house without water, so my bag sometimes has a bottle of that too. Sometimes it will have a packet of almonds, too. And sometimes I’ll tie a functional+decorative scarf around the handle that I can use for an extra layer if I get cold. I absolutely LOVE feeling prepared with anything I could possibly need.
I just recently cleaned out my handbag and after years of just throwing things in. I got 2 little bags for organising my things. I have a discrete bag for sanitary toiletries and tissues. And I got a cute bag for my makeup. This has really neatened up my bag and made it so much more functional. So that's 2 mini bags in the one bigger bag.
Hi Jennifer! You've made me realize that I really need to step up my game with the contents of my handbag I love the class and elegancy that you bring to everything in your life. You are such an inspiration! I would also love to see what you carry in a bigger handbag. I've read Women Who Run with the Wolves. Fantastic book. Thank you for another great video!
Jennifer - my parents gifted me a Louis Vuitton pochette accessories as a college gift too! It was my first foray into luxury and is one of my most treasured possessions. It’s still going strong as well! ❤️ In my handbag: bandaids, nail file, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, and lip balm.
I have always carried a fold-up umbrella in my handbag. Everyday. For decades. Because you can bet the one day you don't, it will rain 😆 Hi from Australia xx
Such a fun video. I also carry a pretty pill box in my purse and have a small collection to choose from. I keep a business card case found on Etsy in a similar style to your pill case. I prefer to give someone a physical calling card rather than digital information because you can write a little note on the back of the card. One unusual thing I have always carried with me from childhood is a jackknife; it has come in handy so often to cut off a tag, pry something open or open a bag of snacks!😄
I love seeing what other people have in their bags - it's such an adventure because mine is so pragmatic and minimal! I always have: keys, phone, glasses, purse (wallet), pen, emery board in a case Since 2020 I have added a pouch with: sanitiser, wipes, moisturiser all in travel sizes. There is usually a mask floating about in there somewhere, not because I ever wear it, but because I need it if walking into a doctor's office.
I keep a piece of string in my purse that my Parents used to tie up boxes when they moved from my childhood home in Mexico to the US. It feels like a piece of home...
I always keep a white motion sickness bag folded discreetly and within reach. Not only does this help with what it’s designated for, it can also serve as a makeshift rubbish bag if needed.
Dear Jennifer, thank you for sharing! I've got a new handbag for St. Nicolas (Nikolaus in German) today and I am looking forward to fill it with my things which will make the new handbag personally mine 😍 I used to always carry a book with me... Time to renew this 😉 Many Greetings across the miles from Berlin, Germany 🏰
Thanks, Jennifer! I'm forwarding this video to my sister. Her handbags are ALWAYS too small (and she knows it)! I'm trying to persuade her to let me buy her a Teddy Blake handbag for her birthday, one that is suitable to her needs! And your suggestions on what to put in your handbag will be helpful to her, at least that is the hope! I am SO GLAD you have a youtube channel - please don't ever shut down your channel!!
Jennifer, have you heard of the book "The Quiet Little Woman..A Christmas Story?" It has 3 short Christmas stories in it. It's Louisa May Alcott's "lost" treasure.
I refill the hand sanitizer I keep in my purse with basic solution, and then add a couple of drops of the essential oils of my choosing. Currently, it's cedar / sage and bergamot.
Jennifer, you are such a class act! 👸🏻 Watching this video made me laugh at myself 😂I feel like such an adolescent tomboy! I wasn’t always like this and was employed in very classy establishments, in my day! THEN I might’ve come close to being A’s meticulous as you! I realize becoming seriously ill is a weary excuse but when I returned to driving, I carried a black Tumi travel bag, everything tossed in tumble-jumble 🤭 Now working part-time, I found an old Talbots’ crossbody which is too small for anything but wallet, glasses and travel Kleenex!! Is there anyone else out there who can relate ?!?! Trying to remain calm and classy 😆
Jennifer, Fun topic. My essentials: iPhone (take notes, calendar, read books.) Chinoiserie design retractable tape measure from the French store POSH in Chicago, Clinique moisturizing lipstick Mini Jo Malone perfume from a set Lydia bought me last Christmas. Handkerchief Julie 🌷
A book. ❤️ When seeing thumbnail to this video, I instantly wondered how many books you could fit into that lovely handbag. Every handbag needs at least one book.
I think my bag is furnished more as a toolkit. I’m always being asked for something! I’ve taken to carrying an Ace bandage as I have twisted an ankle too many times, especially when traveling.
This was such a fun and refreshing video. I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you, Jennifer. I love that you carry a book with you, as I always have as well. I carry a slender planner that snaps shut. It is in the lightest pink color which is very pretty. I have a pretty pen to go with it. It is very handy and fits nicely in my purse with room to spare. Your purse was so pretty and elegant. Also, I loved your pen and mechanical pencil which were both unique and pretty. Thank you for sharing.
I always carry a deck of cards in my purse. You don't mind the slowest restaurant service when you are in the middle of a game of Whist. They also came in handy when we were stuck in holiday traffic for 45 minutes.
I have to keep an epipen in my handbag. I keep a rosary in a rosary pouch in my handbag as well. I separate contents in my handbag with pouches so I am not digging in my bag. The pouches are a beautiful blush pink faux leather. I also have my stoma needs in a pouch as well, that pouch is rose gold.
I carry what you have plus a mini nail file kit, first aid kit, sewing kit, Colgate Wisp mini toothbrushes and Kleenex. You look beautiful in todays video Jennifer 💗🌷😊
I was reading somewhere that said you are more likely to remember written notes. Thank you for sharing. 😊 For my handbag I always have a matching wallet, matching key chain, sunglasses case, lipstick case from Brighton, nail file, small dental floss, nail file, and pen. I may have to re-think the small notebook idea and look for one I’d like.
Thank you for sharing what's in your handbag! I think it's so chic to be thoughtful with what you put in (or leave in). I always carry my water bottle with me, and I like keeping a small Leatherman in my bag. I used to always bring a book with me, but gotten out of the habit... I need to put it back in so I can read whenever there is a moment.
Could you do videos on how you store your jewelry and how you get/keep the perfume out of your clothes? I stopped wearing perfume because I couldn't get the smell off my clothes!
Interesting video! I am not without my albuterol even though I rarely use it. I had an instance once where I did need a respiratory rescue so I am never without it now. Living in a dry climate I am rarely without water and lately have been carrying in my purse a small water bottle, just enough to "wet my whistle." I usually have a larger water bottle in the car. I wear eyeglasses and always carry lens wipes. Where in your house do you most commonly transfer your handbag contents? I suggested to my home-building relative that houses should be built with a dedicated closet near the most used exit for a woman to store her handbags, including a pullout shelf to transfer the contents from one bag to another. I have tried to think of a place in my house that I could convert to that idea as I tend to have several handbags loitering on the den floor or hanging from kitchen chairs, which is a look that I don't admire even though it is convenient to getting out the door quickly without having to go "all the way back" to the bedroom closet. 😀
This video was so elegant - very Grace Kelly-esque!🥰 You’ve inspired me to start searching for a chic handbag like that - I don’t have one currently and that needs to change.☺️ Merry Christmas Jennifer!
Hi Jennifer! Very interesting video! I also like to see what other women carry in their purse! What I always carry that may be unusual is a small Ziploc bag (which I realize is not chic at all😕) containing Band-Aids of different sizes and small alcohol swabs… just in case! And I have had a few opportunities to use them! When people see me taking that out of my purse, they always ask if I’m a nurse, which I’m not! I don’t have what it takes! But I like to be able to help people when I can. Have a nice day!☺🎄🎁
Hi Jennifer, I love small bags, so I carry very few items: card holder, keys, phone, airpods, lipstick. When I carry larger bags I add kleenex, a book and a small hand creme. Only when I travel I add my laptop, chargers, maybe a cashmere scarf and a sunscreen cream.
Inbus keys, gaffa, double-sided tape, phone charger, manicure set, herbal facial mist, eczema-friendly hand lotion, shea butter lip balm. Will not leave the house without those items. Thanks for demystifying your handbag secrets, lovely video!
I’m in such a different stage of life. My handbag is my diaper bag. As a mom I go everywhere with kids/baby. I have two cloth diapers, wet bag, wipes, pull up for the toddler, pacifier wipes, an outfit that could work for both baby and toddler, mini dinosaur toys. Anyone else have dinosaurs? I might have a pen, if I can ever find it. And safety pins.
I never go anywhere without Burt's Bees Lip Balm and a book. The newest edition to my purse is Loop Earplugs. My sons play basketball, and the loud sounds give me a bad headache. These earplugs are perfect. My head doesn't hurt, and I can still carry on a conversation!
I always have a book with me too! Hand cream and lip glosses are a must! Also, a pill box with medicine for various needs like dramanine, kids chewable Tylenol and headache medicine.
I read that book. It’s very interesting and insightful. And yes, I’ve got a notebook in my bag. I usually also have my IPad in my handbag. I take my IPad along like most people take their cell phones. I tend to carry larger handbags so it fits.
Hi Jennifer, I enjoy watching, so feminine inside your purse. Love it. One question please. Can you tell the company for your AirPod case? Couldn’t find it in you links. I would appreciate it. Thanks
A pillbox with artwork that supports a small business is an exceptional idea. Thank you for sharing. I keep a small phone charger the size of a lipstick as an additional item.
Hi Jennifer, I always feel so inspired when I watch your videos. What would you do if you were not at all elegant, and didn’t have much money to begin buying lovely pajamas and hand bags etc? I sometimes feel like I can’t improve in this area because of lack of resources. Just wondering if you have any tips for someone who can’t buy very much.
Oh but you left off my burning question (that I had asked on your wardrobe or outfits video)... when and how do you switch all this over? For over 5 years I’ve carried the same large purse that doubles as a diaper bag. I truly can’t fathom switching bags all the time and moving all these things. Please explain! One unusual thing I carry is a pair of scissors; even more unusual in that they’re wound care scissors that I use as a nurse (they’re clean haha). They come in handy far more often than you’d expect!
I've never actually watched a "what's in my handbag" video, who knew it would be so fascinating?!? I keep a handkerchief in my purse as well; I have several that I rotate, all vintage except for the one my daughter gave me last birthday. I always have a pen, a tiny wallet, and a pocket knife.
Hi Jennifer - you can easily fix your LV strap with leather glue from amazon ... same thing happened to mine (which my mum gave to me 22 years ago when my 1st son was born 😉!!) ... just remove the strap from the bag before you glue it together, don't overload on glue ... and put it under a heavy book till it dries. PS. every time I walk past the Sherlock Holmes museum I think of you! Thanks for such lovely videos xx
I never leave the house without a sketchbook, fountainpen and waterbrush. I can fit them even in my jacket pocket if I go out without a bag. If I carry a bigger bag I will take some pencils and an eraser too. If I go really big (for travel or a long day out and about) I will take my full pencil case with a complete watercolor set and travel brushes. Also in my bag at all times: small first aid kit (again in different sizes depending on the bag), a reusable shopping bag and a plastic bag (my son gets carsick sometimes and I’m severely emetophobic so I have a plastic bag on me at all times in case of surprise sick)
Hello Jennifer! I too enjoy watching What is in my bag videos. I guess I am nosey. LOL! I carry an emergency kit with basic medications, bandaids and matches.
I have almost everything you have in your purse to include a book ha! Additionally, I keep a small, hairbrush and nail clippers in my purse. I also like the idea of a pretty pillbox for my ibuprofen and breath mints. Thanks!!
After watching this video I realized the last time I purchased my newest perfume was about 15 years ago!! I just ordered a Pinrose sampler pack to hopefully find new fragrance, thank you!!
A face washer to use as a small hand towel in public restrooms. Paper towel leaves my hands damp and sore and if the hand dryers are not the Dyson dip in ones but high up on the wall they rarely work well if at all and the water runs up your arm as you reach up. When I was in Japan I noticed every woman had her own little face washer in her bag for this purpose and I thought it was such a good idea I copied it.
Such a fun video! I carry a small purse since I only keep a minimal amount of items with me. I have a keychain with my car key and house key, a small cardholder wallet very similar to yours, my Burt’s Bees overnight lip treatment (which I also use during the day), a tinted lip balm, and my iPhone. 👜
I too like to see what people carry in their purses. I carry all that you do (only mine don't have any sentimental attachments), plus I have a small pouch with fingernail clippers, file, tweezers, & a small pair of scissors. Also a collapsible back scratcher. 🙂👍🐾
Love your video. ❤. My question is how are we to wear dressy or everyday shoes. Should we wear nylons or socks. Many say no nylons. But in colder climates going without a nylon or tights is kind of cold. Maybe you can do. Video on this. Thank you so much. 😊😊😊
Because I source vintage and antique items I keep a small tape measure, a magnifying glass, and small thin notebook with details of items I'm hoping to find.
Thank you for sharing! You truly show what an elegant person has in their handbag. Your Teddy Blake handbag is absolutely gorgeous, and I love Alice in Wonderland. My handbag is never without my SPF lip balm, one or two lipsticks, a pair of sunglasses, a perfume sample, Kleenex in a pouch, a mirror, a mini toothbrush and toothpaste, a pen, a mask, and, of course, my phone and wallet. PopSockets are ingenious. I also carry AirPods so that I can catch up with podcasts while I am waiting. They come in handy when a song I dislike is playing at a store-I listen to my classical music playlist instead. My sentimental item is my daughter’s note that she wrote in fourth grade when I went out for parents’s night out. It says, “Call 100,000,000 times. I love you.” I have had it laminated so I can keep it forever.❤
Mini eyeglass repair kit ,tweezers, Mini fingernail file. Even though we have photos on our phone's ,I still have a few small photos of my children. Store discount cards lol comes in handy.
Hi! I love your channel! You are so lovely and inspiring! Could I request that you create a few videos for viewers who are on a limited budget? i.e. Europe trips and LV vintage bags are not in the past or near future horizons.
I go a little overboard with books and notebooks...but my unusual item would probably have to be a bear shaped eraser that I've had since I was a child.
Enjoyable video! At least for me, the airpod link doesn’t work. I love your pearls with your blouse…so pretty! I don’t lug around a lot in my purses but I MUST carry tissues! Thank you for your video!
Hlo dear, i have seen all your vlogs regarding intermittent fasting, so i want to ask can i do it without any workout because due to some bones issued Dr suggest me not to do any workout, so it will jelp me to loose weight? Plz rply
Thank you for watching! I would love to know about the unusual or unconventional things you like to keep in your handbag. Let us know in the comments below. The silk blouse, pearls, red nails, clean makeup, and burgundy bag ❤ such subtle elegance.
...love it!, too.....LADYSHIP
Thank you! I appreciate your comment! ♥
I think it’s sweet and comforting to keep sentimental items in your handbag. They keep you grounded, remind you of the people you love, and they somehow last forever.
Yes! That's how I feel too...
I always keep an emery board and nail clippers in my purse. Also, my Burt’s Bees lip balm. Thanks for all of your ideas!

Such lovely items you carry with you Jennifer! I also keep a vinyl envelope for receipts. I always know where they are in the event they’re needed. I also keep a small decorative tape measure on a reel. I’m a sewist and it comes in very handy at times!
I hardly ever comment, but I must say you inspire me so much on my personal care and elegance journey. I’m in my 20’s, thank you🌸
Thank you ♥️
Beautiful! I carry a retractable measuring tape and yes a vintage handkerchief.
I always have a USB. I’ve never regretted having it and I’m always glad I have it when I need it. But then my purse is also my diaper bag, cute and chic but full of baby things. Thank you for the video, great inspiration.
I always have my Rosary
never leave home without it! :) I have a special one that I bought at the Vatican many years ago
How intentional and classy 🙏🏻❤️
I always keep paper soap and travel tissues in my bag, especially when I’m traveling, attending public events, etc. I’ve ran into too many instances where basic supplies like this aren’t available when needed! Also, I always have hand sanitizer, a pen, compact/mirror, chapstick/gloss/or a lipstick, a hair tie, my wallet or a card holder, keys, and phone, and sometimes my sunglasses.

I absolutely LOVE feeling prepared with anything I could possibly need.
Your list sounds like my tote I keep in my SUV; I take it all when I travel and feel overpacked but am so happy to have the items when needed. Julie
I love the idea of surrounding yourself with things that make you happy. 😊 Thanks for sharing, Jennifer!
Gorgeous handbag Jennifer! Your videos are so cosy and inspiring! Thank you

I too, love a What’s in your handbag, video! Thanks for sharing, blessings, Cindy🌻🎄

What a beautiful video! I need to go through my purse and dress it up a bit with some personalized items. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
I'm so inspired by your calm and elegant ways, Jennifer. Thank you for sharing.

Jennifer, have you heard of the book "The Quiet Little Woman..A Christmas Story?" It has 3 short Christmas stories in it. It's Louisa May Alcott's "lost" treasure.
Thank you for sharing that information about the forgotten novel. I will be checking that out.
Thank you for sharing about this work; sounds like a gem!
I need to check this out!

Yes! Love that color this fall/winter!!
It's a great color for fall/ winter...

When you said it can be magical, I was so cynical, but you proved me wrong. Loved all the practical beauty in your handbag.

I keep a Small clear bag for, comb, hair pin, eye glass wipe, clippers, orange stick, cough drops, inhaler and ibuprofen.
I always keep a measuring tape and lucky stones / charms from my kids 😊
I have this book on my nightstand! So good.
I enjoy carrying a teabag, some stevia, and a plastic spoon, fork, and knife for an impromptu picnic lunch, when I 'm out and about!
I ride the bus. Sometimes plans change, and it's nice to have a picnic!
I love the idea of an impromptu picnic!
Kitchen sink?
Thanks for the video! I would love to see the interior of the bag and where you keep what (ideas on organizing your handbag, etc). Thanks for sharing!

I have tried to think of a place in my house that I could convert to that idea as I tend to have several handbags loitering on the den floor or hanging from kitchen chairs, which is a look that I don't admire even though it is convenient to getting out the door quickly without having to go "all the way back" to the bedroom closet. 😀
I often carry a 2 oz water bottle, too. Julie 🌷
This video was so elegant - very Grace Kelly-esque!🥰 You’ve inspired me to start searching for a chic handbag like that - I don’t have one currently and that needs to change.☺️ Merry Christmas Jennifer!
Lovely video, Jennifer! I also have hand soap as well as vitamins in my purse.
I am glad to finally get to see the keychain. I love it! Great video!
I read that book. It’s very interesting and insightful. And yes, I’ve got a notebook in my bag. I usually also have my IPad in my handbag. I take my IPad along like most people take their cell phones. I tend to carry larger handbags so it fits.
I bet the iPad makes the bag heavy though. Mine are so heavy already, haha. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I loved this video ❤
Fun video, Jennifer!
Yes! Liquid Fae Studios. She is very talented!
That pen is fantastic!!
My favorite book is A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I have a small, much loved, paperback edition that I carry in my bag year around.
I love the color of your bag. I was die hard Paper and pen. But i still forget so i use the notes app.
What? No easel?
Hello Jennifer! I too enjoy watching What is in my bag videos. I guess I am nosey. LOL! I carry an emergency kit with basic medications, bandaids and matches.
We are all nosey in that sense! haha
I always carry very ladylike handbags, but always have a lighter and a Swiss Army knife. Both have come in very handy!
😂
I have almost everything you have in your purse to include a book ha! Additionally, I keep a small, hairbrush and nail clippers in my purse. I also like the idea of a pretty pillbox for my ibuprofen and breath mints. Thanks!!
Same here ♥
Elegant as always! I adore you ❤
After watching this video I realized the last time I purchased my newest perfume was about 15 years ago!! I just ordered a Pinrose sampler pack to hopefully find new fragrance, thank you!!
Love this! May I ask how you store you designer handbags?
Usually in the bag they come in and on a shelf.
@@TheDailyConnoisseur thank you.
For my odd items, I like to keep a small cute measuring tape, a few stamps, and a very old prayer card from my childhood youth group.
Just loved this video!
Book to read , note Book with pen/ pencil one of my habit.....thank you Jennifer.
Puppy training treats & boo boo bags 🤣 (The purses are pretty!)
I go a little overboard with books and notebooks...but my unusual item would probably have to be a bear shaped eraser that I've had since I was a child.
LOVE that bag!
Enjoyable video! At least for me, the airpod link doesn’t work. I love your pearls with your blouse…so pretty! I don’t lug around a lot in my purses but I MUST carry tissues! Thank you for your video!
I'm sorry the link isn't working. They are by Gviewin. I also like Glirst
@@TheDailyConnoisseur Thank you!
Do you just move all of these items into another handbag when you switch them? I don't use multiple bags.
Hlo dear, i have seen all your vlogs regarding intermittent fasting, so i want to ask can i do it without any workout because due to some bones issued Dr suggest me not to do any workout, so it will jelp me to loose weight? Plz rply
I miss carrying a handbag! I’m still very much in the change bag/diaper bag phase of life
Fun video!
I always keep tissues and handcream in my handbag.
