Hi Brando, would you like to talk about this: Ronnie O'Sullivan and some other players bend their cues during the last backswing before the stroke. This occurs because their arm and hand raise during the final backswing, causing the cue to bend against their chin.
I noticed in latest tournament (Tour Championship) Ding didn't play like that. I think he's experimenting with different cue actions this season. Also Kyren Wilson plays like that with even a slight pause in forward movement. I think good way for a player is to learn to play different styles (experiment with it) and then found out what works best for him. That way you can learn more about snooker technique, your body and your own advantages and limits.
Perfectly timed Ronnie video with him in the finals today v Williams. We are lucky the King of Snooker is given us his best at the latter stage if his career 🔥.
hi, how to hold the grip on line of aim? while standing should the grip hand be already on line of aim above the right leg? seems that as i am getting down and my body turns my grip hand goes offline ??? tnx
Ronnie s mind guess the ball very well . Both object or cue both . His mind know how much ball to hit half , 1/4th , 1/6th , 1/5th or full etc . Also he decide the pace based on these and where to reach . Also the distance between cue ball ,object ball and next placement of cue ball are the basis of pace . Basically positional play is best of ronnie on aforesaid reasons .
I feel like all of these action analysis videos are searching for a reason WHY Ronnie is so great, the "timing" the muscles tensing, the acceleration, what ever else they think they can find as a point of difference. In reality Ronnie is just robotic in his consistency, he does the same thing every.single.time, the action itself isn't magic, it's the same or worse than plenty of other professionals.
Yes that's right. I don't think his action is particularly good, too much movement. His head moves, his body moves, even his bridge hand moves. However, as far as timing and getting through the ball goes, exquisite, best ever.
@@101spirited Yep agree, just so smooth, always the same, doesn't seem to change his action at all under pressure, he looks so loose at all times. At the end of the day it's about putting the ball in the hole, Ronnie found a way that works for him and he's the best there has ever been.
The timing of shot is a fact of science and it creates quality . The acceleration theory is absolutely correct.
Ronnie screw back is phenomenal
Very well explained. Thank you

Helpful thanks!
awesome explanation! thanks!
good thing you have mentioned Ding's cue action because I kinda noticed that but couldn't confirm. Thanks again for the video
Good stuff. Been playing for decades and never noticed this.
Thank you coach ❤

Vídeo excellent!
I could live with Dings cueball control🙂. That aside this is one of the best videos on timing.

If you were going to copy a cue action, the cue action of Ronnie O'Sullivan would be a good cue action to copy.

Well said Dean. Practice and repetition and rhythm

I’ve also noticed on delivery the cue slightly bend that can only happen by gripping tightly then start to release on delivery
Interesting but I'm so sold on this coaching advice
Hi Paul are you from Kerry?
@@JJSnookerChannel no that's my surname
@@paulkerry69 ok 🍀 thought so but ya never know 👌🏻
short hair suits you better
Hours and hours of practice for 20/30 years...
Yep that's really the key. A lifetime of playing. There is no shortcut to this level of skill.
Ronnie has said himself he was a better break builder when he was a teenager, the safety came later with help from Ray Reardon 2004 #natural
Almost like a sprinter coming out the blocks ,starts slow then muscles start working and building more speed
All well and good accelerating through the cue ball but you’ve gotta aim correctly at the object ball. That’s something one can’t teach
